I was told by my dietitian that all meals should be proportioned about the same amount of food and calories. I've been trying this for several months and can actually feel the difference when I have a larger meal.

When my number get high I usually drink lots of water and take a brisk walk. That usually will do it for me. Good luck.

I have not told the dr. that I am not taking the medications. I have been seeing a dietitian and I am…

I had the same problem about a year ago. My dr. told me it was the way I was stepping when I was doing my cardio. I would take a step and land on my heel. Don't know if that makes sense to you. But she suggested I try landing on the front (ball of foot.. don't know what it's proper name is) it takes some practice but it…

I'm no expert on the subject but... I felt the same way you did. My dietitian explained to me that I or anyone for this matter should have breakfast within an hour of waking up. By doing so you are actually starting up your metabolism.

Thanks for the pix. I really needed that today. I am one of the many people getting discouraged because I don't see the numbers drop but after this pix I don't really care as long as I start shrinking..LOL! Thanks.

I switched from WW as well. Being diabetic I felt I couldn't really calculate everything the right way. I really like MFP. Add me if you like.

I hope you have changed your mind and decided to stick to your weight loss journey. I think most of us here can relate to your feeling of giving up. I was about to five up a couple of weeks ago. I did go back to see my dietitian and she looked and my food journal and realized that I was not eating enough to lose weight. Go…

I wish there was a like button to like all of the post above. Great job. I have been working at my weight loss for a little over a month and go back to get more blood work at the beginning of May, I hope I do as good as you.

Funny cause I just asked the same question to my dietitian and she said it's cooked.

I know it's really hard to keep that motivation going. But once you get your mind to getting back on track and see that you will start losing weight again it will be easier. The hardest thing for me is getting started but once I do I don't want to stop. Have you tried different exercise routines? Maybe changing it up will…

I am not sure if this applies to everyone. I visited my dietitian on Tuesday for the 2nd. time and I am just like you 1200 is my goal calories but I have only reached that a couple of times this past month. I was losing fine, then I started working out and now I am not losing any weight at all. The dietitian told me it is…

Hi I'm Gloria I've been a type 2 diabetic for many years. In the past I was a diet controlled diabetic. I gained weight which triggered my diabetes and I was put on medication. However the medications are making me sick. They make me sick to the point where I need to be in bed and can't even go to work. My dr. lowered the…
