I have a 2 year old daughter...I have lost 42 pounds since March. It has always been tough, but the last 3 weeks has been easier as I am FINALLY getting into a routine that works for me. I wake up about 2 hours before I used to and workout then. **Edited to correct spelling, because my "o" key doesn't work well.

Everyone is going to be different based off of weight, intensity and many other factors. If you can afford it, you may look at getting a heart rate monitor to gauge how many calories you are burning.

I would say that if you have lost 160lbs doing what you are doing, it is most definitely a NSV. Great job and keep it up!

It sounds like you gain water weight in your legs and confuse it with muscle growth. Your legs may initially look/feel bigger, but as time goes by the water weight will go away. As some people have mentioned, you can't target fat loss. Squats and lunges may help some, but you will probably have to lower overall body fat %…

Bought my adjustable weights off of craigslist. They are great, plus I didn't get stabbed when I picked them up. Win Win. Edited to add: Sometimes you just have to be patient with the craigslist route. Might also try ebay or amazon.
