  • 2400 is a bit too high if you ask me. At 1.5 pounds loss a week im 247 and 6'5" and i eat around 2000 calories a day BEFORE exercise calories. If i burn 400-500 calories in exercise i usually eat half to three quarters of it back.
  • Don't use fresh eggs you bought in the store the same day, wait until they have been in the fridge for a week.

  • My planet fitness that i go to does not allow deadlifts, have actually been told twice to stop even though i was not dropping the weights or grunting at all. Can only do squats on the smith machine, are not allowed to do T-bar rows whatsoever, have seen females kicked out for exposing their midriff. Only reason im there is…
  • Welcome, you will feel better and enjoy things more if you work hard and stick to it =D Glad to have you!
  • ^ What they said, if you want to know the exact amount of calories that is what you have to do. If you make it the same way you can add it as a recipe for your account. A lot of times the database versions are lower in calories then the food actually is just because people dont calculate the recipes correctly, but homemade…
  • I guess it really depends. Are these products you would find in the grocery store out of a box? Or homemade? homemade is more about calculation on your part but if what you're eating has a barcode it generally is pretty close to being accurate. From reading what you put down it really doesnt sound like a lot of food at all.
  • Its a little expensive but turkey jerky is a good high protein low fat/no carb snack. Tofu is high in protein, edamame if i recall is high in protein like 20 grams of protein for a cup worth. Sometimes rolling up lunch meat into little portable snacks is good too like turkey or chicken breast, with a little seasoning.
  • For what its worth bud i know how you feel. I was absolutely disgusted with myself after ballooning up all the way to 380 at my highest. It seems like a dark tunnel with no light at the end but in truth its there, just far away. Im not going to sugar coat it or lie to you and say that it will be an easy journey and there…
  • Actually thought i look half in shape these days was waiting in line at the store and a guy tried to recruit me to do security work cause "My type of body build tends to intimidate" I was like uhhhh....what? Guess all those days heavy lifting have done some good.

  • What spaghetti sauces do you like with no salt? Ive been finding i like the low sodium versions of Gia Russa spaghetti sauce since it has no added sugar either. Only downfall is its like $7-8 a bottle or something at publix
  • Never changes: Chicken breasts greek yogurt Almonds bottled water Sub for dinner that night green beans Apples
  • While im not sure its the best plan, as i get told constantly i need to buy new clothes, i keep telling myself I want to wait until i get to my goal for two reasons. I cant stand shopping and afraid ill just be throwing away money.
  • A lot more variety then i thought. For the loose skin problems have ya'll considered incorporating weights? Ive lost 129 pounds so far and besides some stretch marks, weightlifting has kept the skin relatively tight.
  • Ive always been one of those types that could sit outside in the freezing weather in a pair of boxers and feel fine, now that ive lost weight i just dont sweat as much, still am never cold.
  • Me and my workout group on chest/bicep day were actually talking about a similar topic on monday. A lot of people seem to think that people are very critical about other people that are out of shape when they come into the gym. Now of course you are going to have the occasional a$$hat who actually is doing that, but the…
  • Number 3 actually made me bust out laughing at work because i was just trying to find a comfortable way to sit due to the same reason, and i have the same problem with shirts, they are uncomfortably tight around the shoulders until they stretch out a little bit.
  • My co-workers do the same thing, not nearly as bad as they used to. I actually had a small rant about it two three weeks ago due to the fact that I went out to lunch with co-workers and three people decided to spend the whole lunch making fun of me because I was adding the calories to my phone and not eating the garlic…
  • Kinda funny post because the day before i started a healthier lifestyle was my first time ever counting my calories, here goes... Breakfast: 2 Bacon Egg Cheese Biscuits, Large hashrounds hardees = 1445 Calories Lunch: Large Stromboli and Garlic Knots = 1330 Snacks: 2 Dunkin Donuts Boston Creme = 620 Dinner: Outback…
  • http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Stuffed-Zucchini-2/Detail.aspx?soid=carousel_0_rotd&prop24=rotd I use extra lean ground beef and a higher end spaghetti sauce like gia russa which has no added sugar, turns out really well. I use half the breadcrumbs to reduce the calories a bit. If i recall it ends up being around 350-400…
  • My latest was at Larry's Giant Subs yesterday actually, I was standing at the counter chatting with some of the staff and a lady walked in, she kept staring at me with a kinda inquisitive look on her face but did not say anything for a while until she finally asked if she knew me from somewhere. I told her that i came in…
  • Fair enough, I am about on track with the weight loss so I am happy where things are going, it just made me curious because lately ive seen a few people adding resistance training as cardio so they can increase their calories. I guess a HRM would help estimate some extra calories burned.
  • My biggest stress reliever is pushing around some iron at the gym, there has been many days where im stressed upset or angry about something, and my workouts benefit from being even more intense then normal and I always leave feeling calm and relaxed compared to how I went in.
  • I do the same thing, the only drawback for meal prepping is having the same thing for lunch 4-5 days in a row, but this has actually been one of the biggest keys to my success so far. Takes away the ? from lunch and usually dinner too. Breakfast is my only up in the air meal generally.
  • Definetely weightlifting, there is a lot of posts of people who lost weight with just say cardio and people at the same weight or even heavier that incorporated heavy lifting and they lifters almost always look trimmer and fitter. Dont get me wrong, cardio has a place in weight/fat loss but it shouldnt be the only tool…
  • ^^^ This for sure, especially if you get queso dip!
