Oh, and don't forget - alway look where you are GOING not where you are. It will help tremendously in turns.

You will be fine. I learned at 55. My first mistake was not to go ahead and get a practice bike while I was taking the class. Find a nice big empty parking lot (like a school on the weekends) and just practice your butt off. The biggest issue is just getting used to where everything is (clutch, brake, throttle). Just take…

Cruises are for everyone. It's just a matter of picking the right ship and destinations for your age group and interests. Best vacations ever.

Been riding for about 6 years now. Just learned and got my license when I was about 55. Took my first header off it last August and just got back on it a few days ago. I ride a 2007 Yamaha 650 V-Star. Had it custom painted last year from Red to White & Green.

You have just as much right to be there as everyone else. You paid your membership. Just remember - they all put their pants on the same way ---one leg at a time!! Go for it.

Friday nights are my "day off" of C25k workout. I follow my usual routine on Fridays except for dinner and the C25k treadmill workout. I still walk at lunch time but I skip dinner. I know that's probably not the healthiest plan, but if I'm going to have 5-6 beers at 96 calories each - something has to be sacrificed.

Cinnamon and a cup of frozen berries - sweet & tart flavors and cools it down quickly.

I bought my 2 year old granddaughter a new book to help her learn letters, colors, objects, words etc. I happpened to open the book to things that were green. I was showing her that the word at the top was "green" and that the frog was green, the grass was green, the leaf was green and on and on. When I finished she just…

The recent post: 'Cheating' is not really 'Cheating' is it?? :) is basically saying the same thing. Whether you chose to log something is entirely up to you. It's not going to help or hurt. It's only going to skew your true intake then probably frustrate you later because you can't figure out why you aren't being…

I'm sure everyone has thought - a little here and a little there won't hurt. However, we aren't hurting anyone but ourselves by being dishonest to ourself. By not logging something or logging it incorrectly doesn't make it go away. It will probably gnaw at our conscience but not gnaw any weight away. You might be surprised…

Three $599's on pull tabs in 7 days. Also won a vacation voucher worth about $2,000 a few years back. You'd think I could get ONE LOUSY NUMBER on a lottery ticket??? - NOT

Pros - You can exercise anytime You can wear whatever you want You can start, stop, adjust your program You have no excuses as to why you can't get to the gym Cons - It is an expense I would suggest going to merchants that sell exercise equipment and try them out. Spend some quality time deciding what it is you want the…

I've quit several times. I'm ready to give it a go again. I even was off cigarettes for 10 years at one point. Then a job change and new environment prone to smoking and I was hooked. This time with diet and exercise I'm finding I don't enjoy smoking as much. I also purchased (and read once) "The Easy Way To Quit Smoking"…

I think it all depends on your own body. Some people run and have no problems whatsoever. I would have said: "It's ok, I run on my feet, not my knees"

I will usually only rest if I have done a good day of yard work or cleaning out the garage or some other good day of physical activity. Otherwise it's 7 days of C25K for me. I actually miss it if I don't work out. Makes me feel sorta sluggish.

Legal Assistant so lot's of chair time. I have figured out that if I walk around our parking lot 5 times, it's a mile. So around I go at lunch time. Helps to relieve some of the stress and boredom of being attached to my chair all day. Not to mention good exercise and keeps me envigorated for the afternoon.

The term CONSTRUCTIVE DISCHARGE immediatley comes to mind. I would truly report him to the HR department of the company. No harm, No foul.

5'0" here and I'd be happy with 115. I got down to about 105 once and looked like death warmed over. I don't want to be a model, just comfortable in my own skin and clothes. I got a pair of leather pants (for riding) some time ago that still have the tag on them - size 2. That's MY goal - lol

2 cups 50/50 Spring mix, 1/2 cup sliced mushrooms 2 tsp low-fat grated parmesan, 4 grape tomatoes, 1/4 raisins, 1/2 can Albacore tuna, hard-boiled egg, low-cal fat-free raspberry viniagrete dressing - about 315 calories. Sometimes I will also have Sea Salt Soy Crisps (21 crisps = 120 calories) as a snack early or late in…

Jelly Belly's are about 140 calories for 35. So, you have to ask yourself if you are willing to use 140 calories on Jelly Beans. If I were you, I'd save them as a reward for reaching a goal. You will probably find that you don't miss them once you realize the other things you could substitute for those 140 calories.

I caught the end of a Dr Oz program the other day and he suggested Almond Milk and eat it like cereal. Doesn't sound real appetizing but who knows????

I started at 137.5. I use the C25K program that someone translated for a treadmill. I walk/run at 3 miles per hour every day. I'm in my 8th week and running 35 minutes and am down to 123.5 - WOOHOO. You don't have to full-out run you can do a light jog. The program even tells you if you can slow down that you are probably…
