  • I agree, the Chobani Lemon has a bit of a weird consistency. I love Chobani Vanilla. Can add a bit of honey to it to make it a little sweeter. But it's great to mix cereal with. I also mix pumpkin puree in with it, which is pretty delicious.
  • Hi and welcome!! I know you asked for something other than chicken, but I want to share this one, because it is DELICIOUS. http://www.specialk.com/tips-and-tools/healthy-recipes/jamaican-chicken-breast-mashed-sweet-potatoes/print I think the chicken and tomato/bean mix is around 300 calories (depending on how much of it…
  • I love wilting my spinach (heat a little bit of water in a pot, add spinach and stir it until it's softened. Drain the excess water. I season it with some garlic powder.) I put wilted spinach on my sandwiches, which is very tasty. Also try chopping up a tomato and adding it to the wilted spinach. Season it however you…
  • Friended  This site has great support, welcome!
  • This is going to be a selfish post. I've got an alarm set for 5 1/2 hours from now - but I don't think I'm going to have a chance to check in over the weekend, so I want to check in now. Aly and Bethany - thanks for your words of support after my last, rather negative, post. All you ladies really put a smile on my face…
  • Hi Ladies!! Megan - Tubing sounds like so much fun, even getting flipped! Glad you're no longer super stressed out and that you feel focused and not tempted by the scale. Good luck with your race on Saturday! cmg - Awesome news about the paper!! Totally understand that feeling of weight lifting. Such a great feeling to be…
  • I made Seared Apricot Chicken last night and it was delicious! I made it with a whole meal (sides and dessert) which I don't usually do, but I recommend the combo I used. Here's the recipe: http://www.eatingwell.com/recipes/seared_chicken_with_apricot_sauce.html I used orange juice and a bit of vinegar instead of white…
  • Good afternoon, ladies!! Hope everyone is having a kick *kitten* weekend  Bethany - congrats to you too on your graduation and move!! :flowerforyou: I'm not sure how I feel about my new place. Mostly because I'm living with 3 guys and they're not incredibly clean :grumble: but it's getting better little by little.…
  • Dear Kick *kitten* Crew, I have been very derelict on MFP for the past month and a half - life has been very demanding. I graduated college (which comes with its own set of demands), finished and turned in my approved thesis :drinker: moved from Delaware to Connecticut and back and tried to spend as much time as possible…
  • Dear Kick *kitten* Crew, I have missed this thread a lot - I can't believe that I was gone all of April (and some of March if I remember correctly!) :frown: I am in my final semester of college (and now, my final month, omgomgomg!!!!) and stress hit the fan and there were a lot of things that had to give within the past…
  • I'm 22!! Been on again off again with MFP for 2-3 years, but the past 8 months have been on again! Feel free to add me
  • I'm inspired! Trying it tonight for dinner!
  • Still on break - but bump! for now  Soooo relieved that March is over!
  • Woah! These sound AMAZING!!!
  • You can always start a new group if you want! But there's also one that just started last week if you want to tag onto it: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/187716-c25k-couch-to-5-k-week-2 It says Week 2, but it's really for anyone who's doing the program. I'm a repeat of Week 3 right now. Good luck with the program!!

  • Like I said before, this week is insane for me, and I'm going to be losing at least one of my normally scheduled C25K days. So on days that I CAN do it this week, I'm sticking with W3. All the better to prepare for W4. So today was technically D4 of W3 for me - D2 of pushing myself to finish each one of the jogging…
  • The wind was RIDICULOUS here too yesterday!! I'm so glad that it is taking a break today - and that highs are supposed to be in the 50s!!!
  • @Aly: That's great news about the assistant coach-ship and sounds like a great opportunity that you would really love. No wonder you're in such a good mood :flowerforyou: Good luck on the decision about the apartment. LOVE the idea of a huge kitchen! @Echo: Yay for spontaneous compliments! It doesn't make you seem vain at…
  • It took me FOREVER to figure out popcorn! Here's the conclusions I've come to: CALORIES: unpopped caloriese does not equal popped calories (even in higher volume). I'm looking at a Pop-Secret box that says 3 tbsp unpopped = 140 calories, but that amount popped = 120 calories (and 6 cups). SIZE: Usually a normal size bag of…
  • Meag, the craziness is mostly stemming from the fact that I am SOOOO behind on my thesis and that a rough draft is due at the beginning of April (the DAY after Spring Break) and I just happened to pick a whole host of work intensive classes for my final semester. I had a moment when I was looking at what I had to DO plus…
  • Way to go everyone!! We're all doing great :drinker: I finished W3D3 yesterday. I really struggled with D1&2 for this week (it's a mix of longer and shorter intervals, and the last longer interval is really rough for me) - but a woman on this site told me that it is almost all mental and told me to just push through the…
  • I should probably preface this by saying that I HATED my school's meal plan - and I was stuck on it for 3 years. That I got to ditch it and cook for myself is probably the thing that I love most about moving off campus (even more than having my own room!) If your school posts nutrition facts for food that it serves in its…
  • This week was so INSANE for me, and next week is looking even worse :grumble: Not going to pity party too much, but I probably won't be too active on the thread for the next week or so - just so you know! And can I just say that WOW! we are already on the 5th page of this thing???! So, this week's exercise is going ok.…
  • I started C25K in the middle of February!! I'm in the middle of W3 right now. Mind if I join in with you guys?? It'd be nice to have some support in this program - and I'd love to help motivate you all as well  My first day of W3 was horrible - but I think it's because I went too soon after I ate breakfast. When I…
  • Sorry I haven't had the chance to check in with you all yet! The beginnings of my weeks this semester are sooooo busy. Usually can't spend the time replying to this thread until Thursdays. But I've got some down time in the editing room - so I'm going to try to review Feb and set up my goals for March. FEBRUARY RECAP: -…
  • Great stories! I am technically banned from using my friend's microwave because I would tell him what I did to mine whenever there was an incident. My best was blowing up oatmeal. Put in too much water and figured I'd just leave it in longer so more would evaporate. When I opened the microwave, there was oatmeal…
