I have this every morning! I make mine iced though. I brew my kcup the night before and keep it in the fridge until morning. Today I mixed things up and had a bowl of mini wheats instead! LOL

Hi & welcome! Who is your surgeon? I had my sleeve surgery done by Dr Nguyen out of the Richmond bariatric program. I live in Langley BC Feel free to add me as a friend if you'd like! Just running out the door right now, but will be back in a bit.
-
I get mine at GNC. They are great for protein and fiber. I eat them as a meal replacement when i'm on the go. My dietician says they are good in moderation and for meal replacement.
-
I was also going to say if you are still on pain meds that doesn't help.

It's normal. My surgeon told me not to worry. I went six days then got diarrhea for a few. He also said that's normal. Liquid in. Liquid out. Lol At my one month check up I was constipated he told me to use an enema. I said no way and took a fiber lax. It worked. Just have to make sure you drink LOTS of water or you'll get…

Just keep telling yourself that they could cancel your surgery if you don't stick to it! Good luck!

I sent you a friend request

Congratulations!!! I found my surgery to be relatively pain free. I had VSG on a Tuesday (June 24/14) had my drain and pain pump removed in Thursday and went home Friday. Since being home I've had one Tylenol a few weeks ago and it was for a headache. The only real pain I had was pressure in my chest from the gas. It was…

I'm two months out and I stick mainly to soup when eating out. I'm not an open book about my surgery. I've only told a few people. I don't feel it's necessary to tell everyone because it's my Business and I'm not really interested in other peoples opinions.
-
I'm only two months out, so i'm not an expert, but I am not bored at all. I basically eat the same things I ate before, I just eat a LOT less. I haven't really eaten meat yet, but when I start, i'll eat less. I have a friend who's 2.5 years out, and she eats pretty much anything, just less. She's at her goal weight and has…

Oh, you poor thing! Praying that you are feeling better soon! Also, just know that this will all be a distant memory for you very soon! Take care!
-
Sending you a request too. I know what you mean about backlash/opinions. I have weeded out my friends on here to include only those who support me in my decision. I haven't included any info about my surgery on my page, I only talk about it here, on the WLS boards.

Also, if you want to try chike or click, go to nashuanutrition.com you can buy samples for $1.99 each. That's what I did. I bought 5 of each (they have a limit of 5 per flavour, per order) to try. I'm glad I did too, because after my surgery, my tastes changed dramatically! What I loved before? I hated after. Even now, 9…

I find the click is really strong, and it has caffeine in it (the one I have does) I don't drink it anymore. I like to brew a cup of decaf before I go to bed, then I put it in the fridge. I use it to make my shake in the morning instead of milk or water. I like to blend mine with a few ice cubes. I just bought a HUGE tub…

I haven't been to OA, so I don't know how it works there. I am 9 weeks post op, and for me the hardest part is the head hunger and emotions. That doesn't go away with surgery. I am part of an amazing program here in BC Canada. I was accepted into the program in January 2014 (Had surgery in June 2014) During the 6 months in…

Hi there! I'm 9 weeks post sleeve. I'll send you a friend request :)

My surgeon allows NSAIDS after surgery, but it depends on why you need them. Severe arthritis? He will allow it. Most of the people in my program chose sleeve because of this. I take naproxen for severe menstrual cramps. My surgeon first told me he would prefer I didn't take it, but when I explained I take maybe 1 or 2 per…

I was in the hospital for 4 days. I needed nothing LOL I did check my iPhone a few times, but I basically slept the entire time I was there, so I didn't need anything. I did bring my phone charger. I also wore my slippers a lot. That's it! Things I found I needed at home: Popscicles! That was the staple of my diet for the…

In BC there are two programs covered by MSP: This is the one I went through, Westcoast Bariatrics (The name has recently been changed to Richmond Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery): http://www.westcoastbariatricsurgery.com/ and one in Victoria: http://www.victoriabariatricsurgery.com/

Hi! I'm in BC,44 years old, and I had my VSG surgery on June 24, 2014. I went through the West Coast Bariatric program in Richmond BC. Here in BC there are only 2 programs (west coast bariatrics & Victoria *not sure of the name of the program) that do bariatric surgery if you are going through MSP, there are more if you…

The first three weeks sucked! Not gonna lie! I had MAJOR regrets! Wondering WHAT in the world I had done to myself! It wasn't fun, I was an emotional nightmare! Now i'm 7.5 weeks out, i'm LOVING my sleeve! I actually forget I had surgery (I feel so good) until I go to eat LOL Then i'm quickly reminded that I can only eat…
-
Do you have access to London Drugs? They have an unflavoured protein that is pretty good. It would probably work. It's in a white tub with a green label. I use it and mix it into pretty much everything.
-
I hear you! I eat like it's my job! I am SO sick of eating! LOL I would try an acid reducer and see if that helps. I know the feeling you're describing. I'm not a fan of it either! It's definitely a learning curve getting used to this new normal!
-
It could also be acid. Are you on an acid reducer? My surgeon put me on one for the first few months while i'm healing. It does help. When I forget to take it, I do feel "hunger pains" so I take my pill, and they go away. (I'm five weeks)

I had my surgery June 24, I wasn't given a calorie number, I was just told HYDRATE HYDRATE HYDRATE! Also was told that my protein goal is around 80. (Which i'm not quite hitting yet) I see my dietician on Thursday, i'm averaging around 500 cal per day. I'm hoping she isn't going to tell me to eat more. I'm struggling to…

I got my period ten days early a few days after my sleeve surgery. It was brutal too. I'm due anyday now, and nothing yet. I have a feeling i'm going to be wonky for awhile :)

Glad it all went well Jena! Take care & get lots of rest!
