  • Thank you for posting this! I am just at the very beginning of my journey. I'm just starting out with all my appts etc. One thing that I have been thinking about is how I will be able to attend different functions, holidays etc with my family, and still be "normal" This is very helpful, and positive! And good job BTW :)
  • Hi there, I haven't had the surgery, but i've been looking into it. One website that I found is www.obesityhelp.com my friend, who has had the surgery recomended it to me. Her surgeon told her about it. Also I bought the book "Weightloss surgery for dummies" It's got a ton of information in it as well. Not sure how it…
  • *waves* I'm here! I was on a "break" for the holidays! Just getting back on track now... I wi on Thursday.
  • I had a hard time with pop too! I enjoy grapefruit perrier from time to time. It's "fizzy" like pop and it's very refreshing. My coach approved it, because it has nothing in it! It's expensive, but it's my treat! I buy it at costco, there's lemon and grapefruit in the case and it lasts a long time
  • For me personally, the only way I can elimnate sugar cravings is to quit eating sugar. It takes me about 4 days, and during those 4 days, i'm a raging lunatic, but once i'm over the worst, i'm fine. If I eat sugar, I crave sugar! It's a vicious cycle for me. Try giving it up for a week, and see how you feel.
  • I find my energy levels higher when i'm on plan. The first four days or so, i'm dragging, but once i'm in ketosis i'm good. I have a TON of energy. Could it be the alternative products not putting you in to full ketosis?
  • When I feel like that I have some sea salt. That usually helps. I just sprinkle some on veggies or a hard boiled egg.
  • Looks good!! CONGRATULATIONS! That's a huge accomplishment!
  • I keep a jug of coffee in my fridge all the time. I brew double strength coffee in my keurig, and keep it in the fridge. I use it instead of water in my protein shake in the morning. Tastes like a frappucino. If I want an iced coffee, I pour it into a glass with some SF davinci syrup, and a splash of heavy cream. Zero…
  • I had hair loss too. I went to the doctor, all my tests came back normal. He attributed it to my "rapid weightloss" I lost 55lbs in 5 months. I had over 100lbs to lose, so I didn't think it was that "rapid" I've kinda fallen off the wagon lately, i've maintained my loss, but haven't lost anymore. My hair loss has subsided,…

  • That's a great loss congrats! My coach told me the peanut butter puffs are no more :( I like the caramel nut bars cold. I keep mine in the fridge. They help with my chocolate cravings.
  • Im so sorry for your loss. I'm an emotional eater too, so I really dont have any advice. I just wanted to tell you i'm sorry for all that you are going through. I had a tragedy to deal with in April. I turned to food as always. I finally had to talk myself out of it. Eating wasn't going to bring my loved one back. I still…
  • Great post! Loved it! You are an inspiration!
  • I am like that too. Right now, I want to eat eat eat! I know i'm not hungry, I think i'm just tired, and I should go to bed, i'm just too lazy LOL When I get like this, I usually do go to bed. If I really am hungry, i'll make a protein shake. I always try to drink a bottle of water first. And on that, i'm off to bed! LOL
  • Early Childhood Education. 20 years later, i'm a preK teacher and I still love my field.
  • a 5000 BTU air conditioner
  • I need to check stores like that. I've been having luck at Old Navy lately. I've also got a rubbermaid bin of clothes that i've had for years that I bought when I was on a diet of some sort, They were always a bit small, and i'd say "when I lose 10 more pounds they'll fit" LOL Now they all pretty much fit or are too big! I…
  • Is it bad i'm hoping for a stall so I can have blueberry pancakes from ihop?! HAHA Not really, but what I wouldn't give for pancakes right now! My problem is, last time I had a "cheat day" it turned into a week, and 3 months later I weigh the exact same as I did 3 months ago. I guess that's a good thing that I didn gain…
  • I break mine into 25 pound chunks. I have (HAD) over 100 to lose, and that's overwhelming.
  • My coach would give me crap if I did that too LOL Have you ever tried davinci sugar free syrup? I buy it all the time and use it. I have the raspberry. It's good. I put it in my "passion tea lemonade" (Passion tea from starbucks, with crystal light lemonade and sf raspberry syrup) Tastes just like the real thing from…
  • My newest favourite is, I make the cappucino drink mix, but instead of water, I use REALLY strong, COLD coffee. I brew it the night before and keep it in my fridge. I also add a few ice cubes. and blend it in my magic bullet. Tastes like a frappucino. YUM!
  • For me, it's a surreal feeling. I am amazed every week when I have a loss. One thing that has scares me is buying new clothes. I am currently still barely fitting into plus sized clothing, and just starting to fit into regular sizes. It freaks me out because i've always shopped at a particular plus sized store, and now i'm…
  • I did the EXACT same thing! I started Oct 25, lost 55 pounds in 5 months, then stalled. I've been stuck at 50 for the past 3 months. I decided that today is the day i'm recommitted. I want to lost another 50! I've sent you a friend request :)
  • Mine is my profile pic. That's 50 pounds lost. My before pic scares me LOL
  • Hi Allie, welcome! I'm on my way to losing 130 pounds. Good luck to you!
  • Thank you!!!!! I'm always looking for ideas! ETA: I agree that ideal protein is awesome!!! I am in awe of the weight and inches that I am losing each week!
  • Are you eating your sea salt? Did you ask your coach why you were feeling off? When I feel light headed or get a headache, I have some of my sea salt. They say to put it in water & drink it, but I prefer sprinkling it on cucumber LOL Oh, also maybe you need to add an extra IP to your day? When I first started, I had up to…
