Not meaningless at all, and so true! I've posted a few times on here how important strength work is, and she's really bumped up her game with more weight and stretch band work in the newer DVDs. I had the opportunity to count my collection yesterday ... 29 Leslie DVDs, and I have a few loaned out. Do I have a problem, lol?

Thank you! Yep, I thank God for every day. Each morning is a new beginning and each day holds new possibilities and lots of blessings to be had. There is always something for which to be thankful. Thanks everyone for your nice comments. Let me hear more about YOU.

This is pure awesome!! Thanks for sharing! (I think I will make my husband read it.) :flowerforyou:

Thanks! My husband thinks I'm a little too into it, but Leslie is just one awesome lady. She really believes what she teaches and has 25 years in the business to show for it. There are lots of great programs out there of all different types, but this one was the one that really hooked me from the start. I love this forum…

Thanks, Karen!! I lost it pretty fast - over about 5 months. I was really determined back then. But it really doesn't matter how FAST it comes off. It matters that you KEEP it off. So you need to do what works best with your schedule and health and all that. Good luck. It is such an awesome program.

Listen to great music and think positive thoughts. When you think about negative things (anything negative and not just about how much it hurts, ha), it can have a real physical affect - shoulders hunch, breathing is more difficult, etc. So I plan things, count my blessings, think about how I'm going to post what I just…

LOL, MFP censored me! D1ck's - not the dirty word kind!

****'s Sporting Goods. They have individual ones they sell for $1 a pound. I bought a number of different sizes there.

That is my understanding as well. If you think of it, let me know if they work!

I am fairly good at it hydrating during the day. I could go without drinking at all through a half marathon - I don't get thirsty, I just have the cramping issue. So I do make sure I drink a little at intervals during the longer runs. I usually run fairly early, so that may play in to the pre-hydration issue. Interesting.

2/25 - CVX and Yoga this morning. What a great combo! I may add Yoga or Dynamix after some of the other tough workouts. You EARN that savasana, baby, and it feels so darn good! Block 3 starts tomorrow!!!!
-
Wow! I can really see a difference!
-
<<I wouldn't send them THAT picture, lol! Doh! Okay, seriously, I think it is the before and after shot only. Funny, now that I am 2/3 there, I WANT that shirt!!! I didn't care about it at the start...

Sometimes it just feels good to mix it up!
-
That is awesome! I start Block 3 on Tuesday. Time flies when you're getting fitter!

2/22 - Pilates X is DONE. What a difference those weeks make. So much better this time, even after teaching an hour of kickboxing this morning!
-
2/21 - Accelerator and some additional kickboxing stuff to prep to teach tomorrow. I love me some cardio!! Have a great Friday, all!!!
-
^^so sorry and hope you recover soon!!

2/20 - P90X3 Dynamix. Dear Diary, The "transition" week is always interesting because I really, really want to do some cardio. (Fortunately I'm teaching a low impact class tonight and will get some in.) But was reflecting on this P90X-3 journey so far... I'm blessed that I've been able to continue maintenance for a number…

2/19 - Isometrix and some additional cardio today. Yesterday's "rest" day was snow shoveling and a 3 mile run. I was so happy to be outside! Isometrix felt good today.
-
Sorry you're sick. 7 miles sick is pretty darn impressive.
-
Great job!!!
-
2/18 - Last day of Block 2 before transition week!! So it is a "rest" or Dynamix day. I already shoveled snow this morning, so I am on the fence about Dynamix. Will check back later. Hope you have an awesome day, all!!!
-
It really does get better over time, but it is still a tough one to wrap your mind around... especially first thing in the morning!!
-
Welcome!! Today is my last day of Block 2, transition week ahead. Loving the program so far!

I start with a standard Bechamel recipe for quantities, then use Smart Balance and a little chicken stock for the roux, and then equal parts of chicken stock and skim or 1% milk for the liquid. The key is to really cook the roux for a while - like 7-8 minutes so that it doesn't taste floury. For more flavor, add some…

2/17 - Happy Monday! How thrilled am I that today was MMX and a day off from work? VERY. Took a 9:30 kickboxing class instead. Although it is an hour compared to MMX, my guess is that the burn is around the same - not nearly as many burpees, I mean "sprawls."

This! I weigh daily; I think it is easier to get a feel for what makes your body fluctuate like sodium and lifting....
-
2/16 - Eccentric Lower and Incinerator. All caught up. This was the best combo I've done so far - worked just about everything!!!

Sounds like home is crazy! When my kids were that young, the only way I could get a workout done was before they got up in the morning. Is that an option?
