Just delete that person from your friends list.

I was wondering how one would train for that also. Distance running, yeah I guess, but you run, stop, crawl or climb something, get up start running again. So I would agree with upper body strength training. Keep running, definitely, but incorporate arms and back exercises also. Good luck, you'll have a blast! Dan

Word. HM's are easy and fun.

Feel free to add me. After a bad accident a couple years ago, I'm running again. Already done 3 half marathons (currently training for a full) and can do a 54 min 10K. I run as much as I can. Great sport. Add me. I like seeing what other running folks are doing. Dan

No, it's not that fat doesn't get burned if you're out of the "fat-burning zone", it's just that the body goes into finding anaerobic sources of energy. It's not terrible, nor is it ideal for you to stay in this anaerobic zone either. Your body gets acidotic. It's really interesting, the nutritional and physiological sides…

RPM Spin Class. Gotta be at least an hour.

I have the Ravennas and love 'em. I like Brooks for their bigger toe boxes, support and most all, comfort.

Go with the lower number. It's just an estimation anyway. Undercalculate your calories burned and over calculate your calorie intake. Best rule of thumb.

You can add me. I've been on for almost a year. Haven't missed a day. It's definitely helped me out. Dan

Thank you!! That **** drives me crazy.

Dit-to the-to! I'm from an italian family and all of the guys in the family are very good cooks in their own right. I'm currently in a soup and stew phase. I cook almost anything.

The comments in here are spot on. Overestimate food and underestimate exercise...it's a true zen saying. Oh by the way, go by the HRM

There is definitely truth in this guy's statement. I haven't cheated either. A lot of it goes to maturity, communication and each other's interests. Don't devote hook line and sinker. Make sure YOU are satisfied with yourself. Concentrate on what sparks your mind and body first. I dunno, that's why I never felt the need to…

Friday 12/21: Got in 6.3 miles before the world ended. Earlier this week, I did 3 miles of trail running through this park I love. Please add 9 miles to my 25 for a grand total thus far of 34. Much appreciated.

12/16: 8.4 miles for total so far this month of 19? I dunno I'm terrible at keeping track of how much I had last time I logged. I have a lot of things going on in my head.

Hey! Good first step. I couldn't figure out why the scales I stepped were all stuck at 230 lbs. All the cycling and work outs I did, there was no change. Then I joined MFP and found out how effective physically and mentally counting calories and sticking to a plan actually is. Good first step (feel like I said that…

Hi Coori, I managed to get in a few miles after I got off work. For the week ending 12/8, I did a total of 5.5 miles. I plan to do some on Saturday so my logging isn't quite finished for the week. Tune in tomorrow. Thanks Dan

Hey C, I have to ask you to scale down my goal to 50 for the month. With my work schedule and other commitments, I've found that hitting 50 miles in a month is truly an accomplishment for me. So please sign me up again for December with the scaled down goal of 50 miles. Thank you. DantheMan2517

Today (11/25) I ran 7 miles. I was out of town last week but managed to get in a total of 2 4 mile runs for a total of 15. Add that to the 38 I last checked in with and the new total should be 49. Trying not to slack, but work's busy and I gotta pay attention to my family. Thanks Coori, Dan

11/11 10 miles total to date 38 miles Thanks Dan
