I was going to suggest making sure the volume is turned all the way up. If mine isn't turn up, I have trouble hearing it too. Good luck! I'm proud of you for getting out there!

Chalene Johnson says the magic pill IS exercise and eating healthy!! There you have it. The MAGIC you've always wanted. Take care of your body and you will be rewarded with energy, normal BMI, strength, flexibility and all that go with being healthy. I saw this quote today that seems fitting: One reason people resist…

Feel free to add me! I love motivating friends and I can use all the motivation from friends I can get. I am a P90x grad, ran my first 5k last year and I'm currently working to complete ChaLEAN Extreme. I am a wife, mother of 3 and Christian. I also work full time and workout 4-5 times a week. I'm in this for a lifestyle…

Barbecue chicken sandwiches I cook this in the crock pot about 4 hours on high. Barbecue sauce: 3 cups ketchup 1/3 cup brown sugar 2 tsp worsch. sauce 2 tsp low sodium soy sauce 2 tsp cider vinegar garlic salt (optional) I use garlic powder just shake some on 3-4 large boneless skinless chicken breast When the chicken is…

Love this! Bumpin for great ideas.

I think people use any excuse to log calories burned, then eat more and don't lose weight. Then they complain about not losing weight and ask why. I don't think it's helpful to count everyday activities but things that actually use muscle and get your heart rate up for longer periods of time. Maybe more people will read…

This! I have given up soda though, but now if I drink soda it makes me feel so badly that I really don't want it anyway. I have found that I have new favorite things that are better for me anyhow, like cocoa almonds and different fruits! Who knew I could be happy living without chocolate and soda everyday?! I still have it…

For those that love running, when did you start to love it? I'm a fairly new runner (I've only run 2 5k to date) and I feel great afterwards, but the actual running feels like torture many days. When or will that change? I want to like it and my husband and I run together so that's great. Does it take time to get good at…

Bad grammer! And the worst is using prepositions at the end of a sentence. Ex. "Where are my keys at?". Drives me crazy!!

I agree with others posts about modifying the moves. I did P90x starting at 167 (I'm 5'4). I told my husband "This isn't for fat people!". Haha. I stuck with it and lost 16lbs but mor inches. We didn't eat the meal plan but did cut my calorie intake. We have also done JM 30 day shred and went back to P90x. That's when I…

I gave up soda in July 2011 and lost 16 pounds in 90 days doing P90x. I drink one occasionally, but soda makes me feel bloated and gives me a tummy ache so it really isn't worth it anymore. If I want a something sweet to drink, I have a diet green tea with honey. No calories and it taste better than soda and doesn't make…

I have this same problem some days. I have found that eating enough calories at all three meals and eating 1 or 2 small snacks (100 calorie pack of cocoa almonds maybe) is helpful. Waiting until the end to eat all your calories is impossible if you aren't hungry. Prelog you meals if you can and then you can plan a snack or…

Agreed! I think folks are a little too touchy about things people mean for good. If they don't mean it for good, I'm still losing weight for myself, I'm getting healthy and I'm very proud of my accomplishment!! Nuff said:tongue: Most of the people making these comments are jealous and they come across that way because they…

Simply said...INCREDIBLE! I have experienced and thought many of the things on your list. There are many things I have never experienced and I'm so glad that you don't have to experience them any more! Another word that comes to mind is FREEDOM! Many of those things kept you from living a normal life. Congratulations on…

I buy mine from Target, they have the 100 calorie packs! I think you can get them at most major grocery stores, though.

Just finished P90x chest and back! Bring it!

I agree with Scott. It's hard to workout when you are overweight (I've been there). Keep moving and once you start losing, you will have more energy and the workout will not be as difficult. Also, make sure you are getting enough to eat and enough protein. If you don't fuel your body appropriately, you will be counter…

I'm not sure I'm the one to reply with advise because I am currently struggling with some of your issues, but the one thing I do differently is eat dinner at 6:00, begin workouts at 7-7:30 and have a protein/recovery shake after I workout. Is that possible for you or are you trying to do fasting workouts? That would never…

Tony Horton says "Don't smash your face!" during P90x.

LOL I like that!

Bump

LOL! I love this. So describes me slow days at work!

Well stated. It's amazing how "mental" getting healthy, fit and loosing weight is. Get it outta my head man!! Get moving, lift weights and eat enough calories (but not too many) and the rest will fall into place, right?!
