If your ticker is accurate (only 18 lbs left to lose), you are definitely not getting enough calories. This will lead to you feeling hungry and tired all the time. Reduce your calorie deficit and weight loss rate to 0.50lb/week. Your calories will increase so you won't feel as hungry or tired. Just weigh your food and be…

No electronics or watching tv 1 hour before bedtime. The melatonin can help you fall asleep. Getting up in the middle of the night is weird. Do you have to pee or is it just getting up for no reason? If it is to pee, no drinking a few hours before bed time (time it similarly to your last food of the day). Sleep can be a…

You are correct in the math, but there is no way of knowing your accuracy (I'm assuming that you won't be able to weigh your food and drinks). Just enjoy the wedding, and don't go too crazy on the alcohol or desserts. You'll most likely have some weight gain when you get back, but that will most likely be extra water…

Research insulin resistance and eat lower carb. PCOS mimics diabetes when it comes to food (not 100% sure why). Calories are still important, but the lower carbs will help you to feel fuller and stay within your calorie limit.

You can totally substitute with pork and beef. Just watch the calories. It will be a lot less beef than lean pork and lean chicken in one serving size. So serving sizes vary dramatically and you may not feel full on beef.

Like everyone said, you need to be in deficit. If you are successfully losing the weight, then try new exercises for your arms. Push ups are a lot of chest muscle if with your arms out wide. Unless you have proper form (elbows move very close to the body), you are working on your shoulders and chest more than your triceps.…

Besides your water intake, you might want to look into how much potassium and sodium you're getting. Because you need to drink so much water to eliminate the additional creatine, your electrolytes sound like they could be all out of whack. If you can, stop taking the creatine and concentrate on getting your protein in with…

Try 0% fat greek yogurt and hard boilded eggs for your snacks instead of these snack bars. They tend to be way higher in calories and carbs than I would like. I find if I have too many carbs in a day, I wake up hungrier and I become hungrier during the day (I'm pre-diabetic) so I watch out for my carbs.

Just like sodium, potassium is another salt. The lack of potassium is bad (muscle cramping and such), but too much and there are adverse cardio effects. It is better to get the potassium in food sources because it is almost impossible to get "too much" potassium from our regular food.

Just eat at least a cup or two of spinach/kale or other dark green leafy veggie at dinner every night in addition to your fruits and other veggies throughout the day and your potassium levels should be ok. Unless you are very diligent about getting your vitamin K in, you'll never be at 100%. I like my spinach and I take a…

If you've set your activity level to sedentary on MFP, then log your walks separately only. Then only eat at MOST half of those calories back. Your Fitbit isn't really accurate and unless you get a heart rate monitor, at most you are burning on those walks is half of what MFP says you did. To be the most conservative, you…

Have you tried PB2 or a similar powdered peanut butter? It really has a great peanut flavor without all the fat (it cuts out like 90% of the fat). That is one option for you on the peanut butter front. Yup boiled eggs are great. I am a big fan of the 0% fat greek yogurt as a snack. Lunches are portions of leftover dinner…

How long have you given it? Do you weigh your food? Are you entering the right information? Have you started a new training program? Have you gained any weight? All of these questions need to be answered to even remotely answer what you're doing wrong.

Are you by chance insulin resistant? Endless appetites after the sweets reminds me of when I eat sweets on an empty stomach. I will feel 10 times more hungry after I eat the sweets or strictly carbs on an empty stomach. Insulin resistance will do this to me (I'm pre-diabetic). The dips in your blood sugar sends the brain…

You're eating at maintenance and "bulking". If you want to come back down, you need to decrease your calories a bit. Have you opted out of your cardio all together? If you've substituted your cardio for the weight lifting, your calories are too high. The cardio allows you more exercise calories than the weight training…

Cardio exercises won't do much for building muscle, in fact, it could reduce your muscle building capability. However, cardio is for heart and lung health. Weight lifting is for building muscle. Eat at your maintenance level for calories, and do a weight lifting regimen. You will be able to build muscle. No need for…

You can and you should change your macro targets in MFP. On a computer it is the easiest to change your settings. Got to "My Home" and then there is a "Goals" subtab. Then click on edit. If you haven't gone to a nutritionist yet, then please do or at least do some major research. You can also change how many lbs a week you…

Usually, I will eat the same thing as husband (I do the cooking), but when something has sauce that needs to go over rice or pasta or whatnot, I have a carb substitute pasta that is low cal and low in carbs (only 2 servings in a package will get you 30 cals if you eat the whole 2 serving with 6 total grams of carbs and 2…

Besides having hypothyroidism, do you have any other medical issues (i.e. pre-diabetic). If you have anything that mimics insulin resistance, you could benefit from a lower carb diet (which is NOT to say go on without any carbs or sugars). Lower carb can mean up to 35% of your daily allowance of calories (you can set the…

Questions: - Is your target goal realistic with the amount of muscle you have? - Did you have a really high sodium day or so lately? - Did you start a new workout regimen? - Are you being really accurate in your logging with food and drinks? You don't have too much to lose, so you should be getting better about how honest…

If you need that full feeling, then you should go with a keto diet, or some sort of protein and veg heavy sort of eating. Those are the only ones that I know of that can really fill you up that way and you won't blow your calories to hell and back on a normal basis. It really sounds like an unhealthy relationship with food…

I found a great noodle substitute that is made from shirataki mushrooms and one brand made from tofu. The one that is made from mushrooms is called pasta zero (be prepared for the consistency to be just like the mushroom). They are shaped like spaghetti and fettucine, while the other one can be found in ziti or shell…

If you are truly scared of putting on too much weight, you can do the dining room area seating for meals instead of the buffet where it is way too easy to overindulge. Then just order like you would in a restaurant. They are really good about the portions in the dining room so you don't have to be conscious about that (one…

I'm kind of in the same boat. I'm not diabetic yet, but am destined to be since both parents, and all my siblings are diabetic. I started out setting my carbs to 35% and worked by way down to 30% now. If I really concentrate on hitting my protein every day (set at 35%), I am so stuffed that I either eat MUCH less of the…

How did you come by this number? Your height and weight seem to be in the low to normal category. Maybe your weight is what your body is trying to stay at with the amount of muscle that you have now? My goal weight was 135 as well and I'm 5'4". I'm 41 and the last time I was that weight was when I was in my late 20's. My…

Eating out while on business is a horrible obstacle. I'd suggest always getting a doggy bag for dinners. Eat half of the plate in restaurants and if you can, bring it back to the hotel for breakfast or a snack (most hotels have fridges). If your place doesn't have a microwave, I'd eat it if you need a snack, but breakfast…

Pork chop/mozzarella/tomato leftovers from dinner. One chop does it. Most of my lunches are just leftovers from dinner (preportioned) so that I don't have to go out to eat and spend a ton on food that isn't as good or filling. Other ideas are bacon wrapped chicken stuffed with boursin cheese. If you haven't noticed, I'm…

Turkey sausages are great! They taste even more like original sausages than the turkey bacon vs. real bacon does. I'm a fan of breakfast meats. Yup, hard boiled eggs are great too. If you can't spare all the calories, then just the egg whites are good.
