Just a suggestion, you may get more friend request if you complete some more of your profile. It's hard for me to add someone as a friend when I don't know what motivates them. I want to make sure I am friends with someone who is here for the right reasons. Just my two cents, take it for whatever it's worth.

It sounds mean, but sometimes that's what it takes. I don't know that my husband ever came out and called me fat but he made enough comments that it started hurting my feeling. It took that for me to realize that it wasn't just the weight. My husband didn't like the person I was turning into. And worse it made me realize…

My plan: start when I was 30. 2 kids, 2 1/2 - 3 years apart. My Actual: had my oldest 30 days before I turned 30. had my second 2 years 8 months later..... then SURPRISE. I had my 3 son 6 years after that. I was 38 when I had my youngest. I wouldn't have done it any other way.

Wow, you look great!!! What an inspiration!!

I have cut back on my binge eating by making sure i log everything. That way i don't just feel bad. I can see what I have done. Somehow it means more to see the number of calories I have consumed. I feel like it I log it I am owning it. In owning in it, I can get it under control. Do I still have those days that I can't…

I have lost a cinder block :-)

The end of last year I got sick of not fitting into my own clothes and feeling fat and out of shape. For my Christmas present my husband signed me up for a running training group and it was one of the best gifts I have ever received. I ran a 25K in May and I am feeling amazing. Running has been my miracle pill. I have lost…

I have lost a little over 33 pounds since the first of the year eating a base of 1200 calories. I work out almost every day and eat some but not all of my workout calories back. I have, usually, one day a week that I am over my calorie goal but i still track everything I eat. Works for me. I hope you find what works for…

To give you an example of how off those machines and MFP are .... On Tuesday I did a VERY light workout on the elliptical. Maybe the effort of a 2 mph walk. After 40 minutes the machine said I burned 440 calories.... entered it into MFP and it told me 419. But do you know what my HRM said......218. Yep the machines and MFP…

So I have always in the past, plateaued....kept tracking for a few more days maybe a week.... slack off on the tracking thinking it's not working anyway.... next thing I know I have fallen off the wagon. This time I stuck to the tracking, and you know what I found, about the time I would have normally given up I lost 4…

We have kept them all but haven't really done anything with them. Mine and Julian's are in one shoe box. Bryce and Mateo's are in another. They have been running 5k's since they were both in kindergarten.

I am usually pretty good at estimating the size/portion of my food but that is because started out weighing and measuring EVERYTHING I at. I know what size bowls/plates to for different sizes. For instance my kids old "baby food" bowls are almost the exact fit for 1cup of cereal with a 1/2 cup of milk.

I just recently started feeling sick to my stomach when I have been working out as well. My doctor said it may be an acid reflux issue. I started taking Prevacid and haven't had a problem since. Just a suggestion.

I just turned 42 in January. I have 3 boys, the last of which I did not have until I was 39. I never made it down to my pre-children weight after any of them. I came close after the second but then got pregnant again :-). It is much harder this time than it was in my thirties but I have 3 very active boys that I want to be…

I think what was meant by Zig Zag was stay at or under your calorie count for a day then go over a bit the next. Do that for a couple of days to shake your body up a bit. I have seen suggestions on changing up your exercise routine. You could do the same with your diet. If you are always eating the same things mix that up…

Try to figure out why you ate the whole house so you can be better prepared the next time. Is it because you were alone in the house and bored? Was it because you weren't alone in the house and ate what everyone else was eating? Were you eating because you were genuinely hungry? Don't beat yourself up over it but do try to…

I completely agree with susannamarie, listen to your body. Try to keep you calorie goal but if you body is telling you to eat, don't beat yourself up if you go over.

I also have had binge eating problems. A couple of things I do.... I keep my "trigger" foods out of the house. Also, someone mention brushing your teeth.... Mint chewing gum works for me, as well. It gets easier with time if you put in the work to start. Stick with it.

Pilates I started taking a Pilates class 2 days a week. Within a couple of weeks I could feel myself sitting and standing straighter.

I had the same thing when I stared getting serious in January. The first 4 weeks I lost 10 pounds. Then the next two weeks I stayed the same the first and gained a pound the second. The difference this time is I just kept going. Still logged everything I ate and exercised. The third week I lost 4 more pounds. After doing…

I would highly recommend going to a running shoe store. We have a couple here in West Michigan for example Gazelle and Striders. Places like that can look at the wear on an old pair of shoes and can recommend a pair that will be the best for your stride and how you walk. Some even have treadmills so they can watch how you…

I weigh myself every morning. Makes me start out the day with a purpose. It doesn't affect me one way or the other if i am up or down a couple of pounds day to day. It's just my way of remembering my goals. I have found that if I don't weigh myself everyday, the commitment tends to slide. I only record my weight weekly on…

I don't eat all of my exercise calories back because I don't know how accurate the numbers that show up. I started using a heart rate monitor that calculates my calories burned based on my HR, Age, and Gender (gender is a big one because men burn a lot more calories than women). I found that my HRM consistently shows me…

AWESOME!!!! You are looking great. I just had a similar experience. My mother-in-law bought me a dress to wear for Easter on my birthday in January. This past weekend, I had to go get a new dress because the one she bought me was too big. That is the best motivation for me.

one thing you can do is work in a sprint day into your running. My personal favorite is to take my 9 and 12 year old out for a run with me. We will "race" to a specific place (telephone pole, mail box) then walk just a bit to catch our (my) breath. They always beat me but it makes me run hard for a bit. Repeat this for as…

My stand by is a small bowl of honey nut cheerios and milk or a yogurt depending how hungry I am and how many calories I have left.

WOW. You look AMAZING!!! What an inspiration!!

Kids are amazing and have tons of energy. I also have a three year old. It has taken a couple of times of going out but this last outing was for 3 miles (because that's how far he wanted to go!! ) The more we go the far he makes it and the fast he is going. Just give your daughter a little more practice, get them both on…

I have family to go see for Easter. I will eat a healthy snack before I go and remind myself it is about the people not about the food. it's just food, my health and my family are more important that over indulging in food. If you are cooking for your family, check the web for low calorie alternatives to classic meals.
