  • 1 whole fried egg (70 cal) on a toasted english muffin (130 cal). Sometimes with a slice of cheese to change it up, but most of the time just as-is. Been having that for breakfast for the past 2 years more or less.

  • Thanks for the ideas! I'll definitely give the apple butter a go, and revisit the jams. The Duncan Hines mix-ins sound interesting, too.
  • This and another issue I reported exist in this version, but I guess if it's true that this version has gone live (I can't find an announcement post), it must not be that important. <shrug>
  • Don't know if this has been mentioned yet. Easy hard-cooked eggs: Put the eggs in an electric kettle, cover with cold water, and turn the kettle on. The kettle will shut off when it boils, then you can leave them for ~20 minutes. Perfect hard cooked eggs. I actually put 3 or 4 in the kettle before going to bed and take…

  • I haven't been able to reproduce the issue previously reported issue where deleted items reappear if they were deleted during the sync. Ongoing issues: Still getting a long pause (white screen with blue header bar) on first opening the app. Either after a fresh boot, or if I press Back all the way until the app closes,…
  • Click the side menu button (top left) and go to Progress
  • Olivia, Update on the syncing issue. When I was copying items from previous days today, I took my time and everything worked. Copied Breakfast from yesterday to today Waited for the sync to complete Deleted an item on today's list Waited. Copied lunch from yesterday to today Waited. Copied Snacks from yesterday to today…
  • A suggestion: How about a sync icon / button on the top bar, static across all pages. It would be grey if there are no changes to sync, lit up if there are changes, and animated if it's currently syncing. You could also tap it to force a sync. I know there's already a data sync in the settings menu, but this would be…
  • This has been mentioned before, but I want to add a "me too!". When adding an item, I changed the serving size from 2 tbsp to 1 tbsp but the app still showed 2 tbsp in the popup add box. Since I was kind of expecting this behaviour, I added it anyway. The diary showed the proper 1 tbsp.
  • A suggestion for the forum here. Could you start a new topic with a list of bugs that have been fixed in the next release? Might clean things up in the forums a bit if people look there before reporting a bug.
  • I've had this happen a couple times. When deleting an item, it would delete from the top of the meal but add it back to the bottom. Also happened once with an exercise - I recorded the wrong calorie amount, so went to delete it and add it (since there's no change), but the deleted one remained at the bottom.
  • Sometimes the diary scrolls back to the top of the page. I notice this most often when I'm copying items from yesterday. I scroll down to verify the food was added, or to remove something I didn't eat today, and it puts me back to the top. I'm thinking this is similar to going back to the Home page to show an update?
  • This is intermittent, but occasionally I'm dumped back to the Home. Most recently, this happened when I was searching for a food. I'm not sure if maybe my stats updated (after previously entering food) and it refreshes the home page in the foreground instead of the background?
  • I have Recent, Frequent, My Foods, Meals and Recipes
  • I'm liking the slight UI changes. A little different than before, but intuitive and not confusing. I also like that you didn't add a bunch of unnecessary graphics that slow it down or consume data. One thing I would like in the app as well as on the website is the ability to set the dates for the graphed reports. In the…
  • At one point in entering my meals this morning, I went in to add for Breakfast. The "Recent" tab was selected, but it was showing me "Recipes". I had previously added a meal from a recipe for breakfast, then added a recent item for lunch. then went back to add something in for breakfast. I haven't been able to duplicate…
  • Extra thanks to kmcosgrove for the original post and haybales for extra information and the spreadsheet that does all the complex math for me! After I switched from MFP values to this, my weight went up about a bit and plateaued for about a week, then it started coming back down. MyFitnessPal had me at 1270 calories per…
  • I watch little to no TV at home, but at the gym I watch TV episodes on my phone. Not only does it give me something to do, but I look forward to going to the gym to catch the next episode.
  • Thank you heybales! That's a mighty impressive spreadsheet you did up. Using the values I entered in, I'm now going to bump my daily calorie goal from 1270 (MFP) to 1880 plus eating back the percentage of my exercise calories. I'll be honest, I'm a little concerned about gaining back pounds I've lost as my metabolism…
  • So, just so I have this right.. Using the tools from Fat2FitRadio, my BMR is either 1906 (Harris) or 1735 (Katch). From what I read, Katch is more accurate as it takes into account body fat (27.8%). Basically, I don't want to be below 1735. Lightly Active = 2621, less 20% (524.2) = 2078.8 I aim to eat 2079 calories per…
  • Is there any reason why I wouldn't want to follow a TDEE of Lightly Active and eat back some or all of the calories burned while exercising (MFP-Style)? The reason I ask is that although I go to the gym every morning before work, the quality of my workout varies depending on how much time I give myself. I might have a 20…
  • I read through the manual and it would appear that I need to set the activity level in the watch (from 1 to 4) in order to calculate the calories. I can either set the activity level manually, or from the current heart rate. I'm not sure if it auto-updates the activity level as my heart rate increases, but if not, it's…
  • The model I bought is a Kyto HRM-2803, purchased online. It came with a Chinese-only manual, but I emailed the company and they sent me a link for the English manual, so maybe there's more I need to do to set it up. Or maybe it's not a high-quality instrument. :) I'm 5'10", 195 lbs, 37 years old. The elliptical at my gym…
