I do 1200/1300 most of the time and stick to it if I'm not exercising. Once I exercise I eat those calories back :D

30 pounds ago! I think my face just got longer...lol.

I went to Kohl's and bought a Gaiam tunic tank that covered the hips and it's my go to piece now. Plus their Tek Gear shirts seem a little longer than most brands.

Gravy and Biscuits with eggs and bacon.........oh my gosh someone's breakfast aroma is starving me to death!

It's definitely routine. I went through a few boxes of stuff that needed to be tossed and found two composition books full of handwritten logging from 2009...I just laughed. Didn't realize I had been logging that long. I do take brief periods of not logging but I always seem to gain weight during those times.

I've got taco soup in my crock pot. So good!

I always clip in on the left and push off with my right foot. I can unclip with either but I am better with the right. I fell over once at a red light (a very busy red light) and learned real quick to think ahead of my stop. I use spds and wear mountain bike shoes so I even unclip and pedal sometimes when I think something…

I recently finished my second Ironman70.3 in Augusta, GA. The hottest place in the South! I took 13 minutes off of last year's time :)

I'm 5'5" and 128. I bounce between 125 & 128 but I'm training for an event. As soon as my event is over I will go back up to 130. I'm more comfortable at that weight and it is easier for me to maintain. Measurements are 34C - 27 - 34.

Congratulations! You are so inspiring! Keep moving forward :)

Hello everyone! I'll be 53 in 2 days! I'm on MFP a lot during the weekdays (checking it while at work...lol). It's always good to see other people on here my age.

Great advice here! Yay that you are getting into Triathlon! I have a triple and a double and love them both <3

I usually take one rest day a week and it always involves working 9 hours that day and then doing laundry or household chores. I have found I eat more on a rest day since during the other days I usually have two workouts to get in. Rest days sound wonderful but I feel like (for me anyway) they don't live up to their…

Most biking groups have "groups" within their group. There is usually an A group (fastest), a B group (medium), and a C group (slowest/beginners). That helps individuals who want to ride super fast (Group A) and then fall back to the other groups to rest and/or socialize. See if they have any no drop rides. I always hear…

I have to have the bed sheets and bedspread tucked in on my side of the bed. Also, I can't stand for the shower curtain to touch me while I'm showering. Strange I know.....

Check out groovelife.com. They have tons of color options. I have the groove brand and love it. All my workout friends have the silicone rings and swear by them. If you lose it on a bike ride or open water swim....no big deal. :)

This! I can't stand to hear people clipping their nails at work. I understand the occasional need to clip a broken or snagged fingernail but when I keep hearing snip, snip, snip I know you are clipping all of your nails......ugh.

Growing up in East Tennessee we ate a lot of soup beans and cornbread. Too bad I don't have a picture. But everything goes with soup beans.......tomatoes, kraut and wieners, slaw. Some like mayo in theirs but not me:)

For me, I have found that most sugar substitutes make me bloat.

Here are some things that help me when I'm not wanting to do my workout. Get some new music, sometimes listening to the same old music track will lessen my feel good thoughts. Also, put on the workout clothes, whether it's a bathing suit, running stuff, or biking stuff. I even change into them just before leaving work so I…

I'm not from the Boston area (I'm in Tennessee) but it's great to see MFP's talking about OWS. I'm in the pool three times a week then jump into the lake around late June/early July. It takes that long for our water to warm up. I've done a bunch of different triathlons and love/hate the swim portion. For anyone heading…

I'm tired of chasing the string........... :(

I'm 5'5" and will be 53 this year. I keep my calories somewhere between 1300/1500 give or take with exercise. Sometimes I eat back my exercise calories and sometimes I don't. I exercise a lot, especially during the warmer months.

Petty reason........to look good in my triathlon kit.

I'm a mountain biker/ road biker / and a triathlete. In my area we have a very good selection of rural "bike routes" and a lot of groups that ride. I usually ride with friends, my fiancé, or occasionally alone. I have a few helpful tools that make my riding seem safer; I have a Garmin Varia Rearview Radar that beeps and…
