In the winter months I do the 16/8 IF and make my first meal lunch. It saves me plenty of calories for after my evening workouts. In the summer months I eat a bigger breakfast and lunch due to increased early outdoor workouts. Changing it up helps me not get bored:)

I love that I can walk or run to my gym from home. It has lots of choices along with an outdoor pool!! Which I have used all summer.........sweet!

I plan bike rides, swims, and runs with a group of friends early on weekend days. It motivates me to get up and eat some calories and use the bathroom (lol) and pack my car. Maybe a few friends would motivate you:)

This summer I've focused on triathlons; swimming, biking, and running. But my first love is road biking. Also mountain bike, trail run, kayak. In the winter I add weight training:)

Meal prep and food scale. A little over a year ago, I dug out my crock pot and actually bought another so I could make two meals at a time. There is always something ready in my fridge (meat and veggies/soups/chili) for after work and weekends.

I do it too................grrrrr................
-
Bump. Me too. So far I've just used it in yogurt.

Canned meat; tuna, chicken, beef (the kind that is non-refrigerated). I mix any of those with a can of Rotel or MexiCorn. Peanut butter with veggies, Protein Bars, whole fruit, string cheese.

My goal this summer has been to swim to the buoy (which is 6 tenths of a mile) and back during an open water swim with friends who are training for triathlons. I finally made it to the buoy even though I was last and reformed back to dog paddling a time or two.

I haven read everyone's comments ....but I choose workout bottoms that have the crotch built in and leave the underwear at home:) One less thing to pack and worry about:)

Yep, the crock pot is your best friend. Although, I did see a new idea (new to me) for fast chili. Cook ground beef/chicken/turkey/tofu...which ever one you prefer.. and mix it with a jar of Newman's Own Corn & Bean salsa. Can't wait to try it next week. I meal prep so right now (this week) it is crock pot beef roast with…

If you think you can't then you can't. If you think you can then you can.

I do the 16/8 fasting during the week and follow MFP's calories for my stats. In the summer, I don't fast on Saturday or Sunday if I have a big road bike ride planned such as 50, 65, or 80 miles. But I do stop eating at the same time each evening. In the winter, I fast every day and my workouts are in the fasted state.

Cut up fresh fruits and veggies! Bell Peppers, mini carrots, squash, celery, apples, grapes, cherries, etc. I love that I can snack on them and not kill my dinner calories:)
-
I told my boyfriend I wasn't sure if I could train and do a triathlon (he is a triathlete). He responded with a question. "What is the worst thing that can happen?"...Oh right, you will get into great shape along the way!

When there are "only" four restaurants you allow yourself to eat out at and you know the exact meal you can have and how many calories it contains. Then you log it as a meal......because you have it in your data bank as a meal :)

I did my first Sprint Tri last week! I've been thinking about doing one for years and was afraid to be in front of people with a tri suit on (they show everything)... Well, I finally decided I could do it. So glad I did!!! I want to move up to an Olympic Tri now:)

Lots of raw veggies, lean protein and water. I'm on about 1260 a day and I don't eat breakfast but here is what I do for most of my work week lunch and dinners: Lunch - fresh cut up veggies (bell peppers and baby carrots right now), fruits (strawberries right now), a can of Rotel (or can of diced tomatoes) with a can of…

I like to plan ahead my workout and what I'm going to wear (my workout clothes keep ME motivated). Also, I like heavy metal/hard music (Disturbed, Rob Zombie..etc.) for lifting and pop music for cardio.

If I feel like a treat I will have a Blue Bunny Mini Ice Cream Cone or maybe a handful of almonds.

Check out the Intermittent Fasting Group Page on here. It has lots of information that will help you :)

I switch the soup in most of my slow cooker recipes with stock (chicken stock, beef stock, or veggie stock). Makes the meal healthier........but not creamy.

When someone makes the "ah" sound after drinking something. I sit near a water fountain and it's so annoying!!! :#

I have never tried half and half for coffee. I will try it!

I've gotten used to using Silk Unsweetened Almond Milk in mine. About 1/2 a cup with one packet of sugar works. I do like the Natural Bliss Creamer No Sugar Added creamer. It's been a struggle for me too as I love my creamy sweet coffee.

When I bake chicken breasts in the oven I usually use a pyrex baking dish and Swanson's Chicken Stock Low Sodium. I usually don't measure the chicken stock I just make sure it covers the chicken. It always comes out juicy and low calorie. Sometimes I add a little lemon pepper.

I'm not in love with cooking much either. On Sunday's, I make a huge salad so I can dip it out all week and use it as a base for any thing like canned chicken, tuna pouches, spaghetti noodles w/jar sauce, salsa or Rotel. The one item I can't live without is my Crock Pot! Put in chicken, canned soup or broth, any veggie you…

I keep Lean Cuisine Pizzas in my freezer. I spice them up with some Rotel and eat them for a quick meal when I'm running late. I like them!

My boss ....who coughs all the time and scares everyone around him because it sounds like his lungs are coming up. Then he apologizes and blames it on allergies as he is going outside for his smoke break.:(

I'm 5'5", 49 yo, and have a sedentary job (desk). SW 153, GW 120, CW 130. I do short workouts during the weekdays with long workouts on the weekends. They have mine set at 1200/day. I use a food scale and also measuring cups. I'm working on my last ten pounds..................
