  • I am at 133 down from 153. I have "slowly" donated clothing. I have always kept a few size ranges in my closet. In the winter I go up some and I need the next size up and in the summer I go back down. Plus, my office attire wasn't cheap. I'm currently looking at having my trousers tucked and hemmed. I also practice the…
  • Definitely worth watching!
  • Interesting friends and activities! I joined a triathlon club and have made lots of friends that are very active and that motivate me to get out and get some fun in my day. Lots of fun activities! Staying busy keeps me going. Also taking my "trigger" foods out of the house.
  • I switch between two different breakfasts so I don't get bored. I eat breakfast at my desk Mon-Thurs, Friday no breakfast due to eating at a restaurant for lunch. Saturday is a breakfast burrito from Chic-fil-a and Sunday is sometimes at IHOP :) I'm more active on the weekends (starting with Friday) so I'm less strict…
  • I'm 5'5" and I love seeing what I would look at these weights!
  • During spin class I like to wear a cycling kit. I get stares and weird looks but I don't care. The kits make me feel fast and motivate me to go harder! On the mowing, my neighbor (we share connecting backyards) lets his grass grow to waist high. It doesn't bother me (I pay to have my yard mowed) but he makes me nervous…
  • I agree that snacking is a habit and (for me) it stems from boredom. My snack danger time is after work just before dinner...so I've taken to just going ahead and eating dinner when I get home. Plus I don't buy them if I can keep from it...lol...I do love me some Doritos ;)
  • When I bake chicken I bake it in Swanson Chicken Broth/Stock and salt and pepper. Keeps it moist and you can use the liquid as a soup.
  • Hi everyone, I'm 51 and struggle with keeping up my energy level. I've noticed after three straight days of working out I end up crashing for two days then the cycle starts over. I'm not sure if I'm menopausal yet :/. I agree with 'energyseeker' I too used to feel younger than my real age but now it seems to be creeping up…
  • I often wonder if nutrition were taught in school if it would help. I took Home Economics in school and remember learning how to sew and cook but do not remember anyone saying that the crème pie we just made with the whipped topping was calorie laden!
  • Mom: Can I fix you something to eat? Me: No thanks, I'm good. Mom: I have a warm apple pie with ice cream for you. Me: Okay! lol......only go to Mom's house when I have extra calories....lol.. :)
  • I plan meals better during the colder months when I'm less active and worried about comfort foods. We basically eat the same dinner meals on rotation. I don't really follow the sale items I just know what we'll eat and get it. I do the overnight oats for breakfast and he does the frozen waffles and pb. I eat canned items…
  • Exercising totally helps me mentally. I always feel better after a ride, run, or swim.
  • I love overnight oats too. I use 1/2 cup oats, 1/2 cup almond milk (try choc almond milk too), 1 cup frozen blueberries, 1 tablespoon honey, sprinkle of cinnamon and salt. I do agree it can get pricey on the calories but on days I have a good workout planned for after work I like 300+ calories for breakfast. :)
  • I haven't really cut back on foods I've been trying replacements for them:) I like Romaine Lettuce instead of wraps/taco shells, spaghetti squash and shredded slaw salad in place of pasta, etc. I did stop all sodas and now drink a lot of unsweetened tea, coffee, and water. When I do have pasta I use the wheat pasta and add…
  • I got a really good workout yesterday morning............lol...after walking through a thick spider web in my carport!....I'm still freaking out about :)
  • OP - My calorie goal is 1300 a day. MFP had it lower but I rounded it up! I am 5'5", age 51 and have a desk job. I'm very active (most days after work) and some days I do eat at maintenance. But most days I stay at the 1300 mark. Preparation is the key. Here is what I've been doing. During the week I eat breakfast and…
  • I'm 5'5" and 137. My work pants are 4's, 6's, & 8's. jeans are all 4's. When trying on pants I'll take a few sizes just be to safe. Brands/styles differ :/
  • When you're constantly looking for ways to get more food for less calories.
  • I have two cats that end up in the bed with me.
  • Oh, me too :/
  • A Labor Day Sprint Triathlon that I signed up for :D
  • Mine is probably weird. After swimming, biking, and running for two solid weeks (triathlon training) I got a terrible head cold and had to take three days off (yikes). That usually means danger-danger I'll take forever to get back into working out, but not this time! I got in the pool last night and did just 35 minutes of…
  • I use Garmin Live Track. It works really well in areas with good cell service.......but once that service is sketchy it drops the signal. I've used it so much now that I know the areas where it will work. It is very useful when I finish my ride before my boyfriend and I can look at it and tell how far away he is. We use it…
  • Three years of maintenance............congrats!!!! I tried maintenance last summer while I was helping a friend with her triathlon training. I thought, well I'm real active I need more calories so I used the 1500 or so maintenance calories that MFP gave me and I still logged but the weight crept back on. I had to go back…
  • Mountain Bike Shoes!!! My Favorite shoes!!!
  • I live in the states and wear a bikini top with matching boy shorts to the beach. I used to wear a bikini bottom but like the better thigh coverage of the boy shorts. At the gym pool, I always wear a one piece because I'm there to lap swim.
  • Metrics are great rides. If it's road bike, for breakfast I like to eat a Cinnamon Bagel with peanut butter (or you can use laughing cow spreadable cheeses) and on the drive to the ride I'll eat a protein bar and drink a PowerAde. I like to take in about 500 carb calories before riding any distance over 40. My bike holds…
  • I'm 5'5" and supposed to be at 1200 but moved it up to 1300 so I could have some snacks. My diary is open to friends too! SW153, GW120s.. Got down to 133 them back up to 136 so I'm still in progress :/
  • I'm in for recipes too! My favorite is taco wraps. Ground Turkey (cooked with Taco seasoning/salt/pepper), Rotel, smidge of shredded cheese wrapped in a Romaine lettuce leaf!
