I bought a Sportline SX Elite...didn't like it. Worked okay but had a lot of issues with the chest strap not communicating well. Just bought a Polar FT7 and love it so far! No communication problems whatsoever and I like the ability to pause/stop/track workouts.

I need to find the book and look at it to. For example, I put it on just to track for a bit. It's currently blinking 211 (as I'm sitting and typing). Funny thing is, the Max shows 93, but Avg shows 123. So my average is 30 bpm higher than my max bpm.

Thanks. You are correct, it's not at Tachycardia levels. The 70-80 is while sitting, if I stand it does jump to over 100, but I'm guessing that is more of a dehydration issue than medical (possibly combination of both). A problem I'm having with the SX is that when I'm done with my exercise and take off the chest strap, it somehow keeps recognizing a heartbeat and thus my numbers continue to change.
