It's not punishment, it's that so every time you feel hungry you pray. It's a way to focus on praying more often through out the way. The problem was that I didn't feel well after consuming 1300 calories and I didn't know what meal to have to ease into it

Necessary - YES Awesome - YES According to studies, breakfast truly is the most important meal of the day, it's what gets your metabolism hopping. 3oz protein and some fruits or veggies is a healthy way to a new day :D

You ARE going to love it here :3 I'm new here too, kinda. Be careful on the quitting cold turkey. Although it's very good idea to quit, starving yourself might risk overloading if you ever break down. At least, that's what I've found. Good luck! ~Claire
