Well, the Bible says that no one will know the day or the hour, and that only God knows when things will go down... so its up to you. [/quote] EXACTLY!!

Jillian have this new one called Ripped in 30. It's a little similar to the Shred, but I like it better then the Shred. There's also dvd's by Jackie Warner that are actually cheaper then $20....check those out! You can also go to collagevideo.com, and preview the dvd's before you buy them. I'm sure you'll find something…

Yes it happens to basically all of us. Honestly when it's that time for me (like now) I don't even weigh myself....it's just to depressing, lol! I just wait for the following week and see what the scale says then.
-
That's what I'm having for dinner, but I'm going to put mines on top of a salad...yum!!
-
Just stick to it. You're body may be adjusting to the new change. When I first started it took me about a month before the scale even moved; but I was losing inches. It's very important to take your measurements, that tells the true story. The scale is just a number. Go by the way your clothes look and feel on you.

You are absolutely right because my scale hardly ever budge. I weigh myself once a week and once a week only, but man oh man those inches are melting away!

Darn those oreos...the chocolate and the golden! Oh, and I can't leave out the Toll House chocolate chip cookies you pop in the oven!! I'm definitely right there with you not to mention the 3 children that I have that love them oh so much!! lol

I'd love to be your friend! We're all in this together!!

The best thing to do is to buy a heart rate monitor if you don't already have one. That is truly the only accurate way that you'll know how many calories you burn during a workout.
-
Please post what you think about the program. It looks and sounds very interesting!
-
You may have to eat some of your exercise calories back if you're really working out hard.
-
Well I just brought The New Abs Diet book yesterday, and I've only read the first couple of pages, but so far it's very interesting.
-
I have one and when first starting out you will spend more time picking it up then twirling it around on your waist, but each day it gets easier and easier and soon you'll be able to keep it up longer. I have a heart rate monitor and that's how I calculate how many calories I burn.

Thanks for sharing!

Hello and welcome! This is a great place with lots of support! We're glad to have you join us!

P90X has 3 different versions you can do; classic, lean, and doubles. Classic I believe is more for developing muscles, lean is more cardio based and doubles give you that extra cardio along with classic. I was on my 2nd week of the lean version, but now I have to hold off due to a car accident this past Sunday. Once I'm…

I have 3 boys, Kirt Winston (18), Jai'Quan Jalen (2), Damari Jadyn (2)

I agree with Shima. I haven't done Insanity, but I'm on my first week of P90X, and I modify some of the workouts not all. I can't do a pull up and I don't have a pull up bar, but I use my bands. Turbo Fire is tons of fun, and just like Shima said there is a pause button and then jump right back in. Whatever you choose to…

I just started P90X, and I have 5,8,10's. I know I'll have to increase eventually, but at the moment I need to build my strength up.

I have been sick since Friday with the flu, but I'm getting better now. I eat what I can, and I don't worry about it.
-
You have to go into exercise and create it yourself. I don't think it will tell you the calories burned since it's not already pre-programmed so you will have to enter your own time and calories burned. A heart rate monitor will do that for you.
-
I'm starting it tomorrow. I have to go out today and buy me a chin up bar even though I can't do not even 1 chin up, lol!
-
Good job! You rocked it!!
-
I tried it one time and one time only. I'd rather make my own. I know exactly what's going in it and it's healthier not to mention it taste better. Just stocked up on my craisins and sliced almonds, walnuts, and cinnamon for this week!!

Everybody's body is different. For me I'm like you I lose inches but the scale barely budges. I figure with losing the inches that means smaller clothes size, and I'm absolutely fine with that! I just keep doing what I'm doing and I figure the weight will catch up later, lol!!!
-
I second what the first two said. I have both programs, but I love dancing so Turbo Jam would be my favorite of the two. They also have Hip Hop Abs which is really fun as well. All the programs can be modified and they show you how to modify them to suit your need and level. Go for it there's nothing that you can lose out…

Thanks for this post because I was wondering the same thing.

Congrats on your weight loss!! I know it's not easy but like you said nutrition and exercising is key, and I'm learning that day by day eliminating things one day at a time.
