  • Just depends on preference tbh. I used to be an afternoon/evening person but I hate late workouts now as much as I used to hate morning ones. The thing that changed it for me was having b'fast + coffee beforehand. I was finally fully awake and fuelled for a workout rather than distracted/tired from a day's work. (I'm up an…
  • Haha! So much truth here! Don't underestimate the DOMS!
  • 1. How do you handle back handed compliments? Exactly the same way I handle normal compliments. Usually they mean well but, if not, stay well away. The comments will continue and before you know it, you're up close and personal with the green-eyed monster! 2. For the bustier women do you feel like regardless of what work…
  • What do you consider eating more? And how long did you try it for? As far as I can tell there's hardly a single day in the past 2 months when you eat over 1000calories.. (not to mention a good week or two in June when you didn't log at all.) Have you calculated your TDEE? My advice: - Work out the correct amount of…
  • ^All of the above. On one hand 2lbs is just a good poop or water weight. (I've seen my weight fluctuate +/- 6lbs in just 2days) On the other... something's off here. If you're averaging 2800-2900 cals burned per day and 2184 is your maintenance, you already have a decent deficit (600+cals). Why are you eating even less?…
  • Hi - great to see there are so many other newbs. I'm training for a half but I've just signed up to a gym and I'm hoping to start this program tomorrow. Feel free to add me too! :)

  • This would be the problem. You only have a small deficit (250cals per day I assume) so you're really going to need to be a lot more accurate and consistent. It sucks but it works and it does get easier.

  • Your ticker says you only have 9lbs to lose so, assuming you're losing at the recommended 0.5lb per week, that's not bad progress at all for the time you've been here (6weeks?). If you are weighing and logging food accurately, I'd say that you should just continue with what you're doing and be patient.

  • I notice men check out other women all the time but, when it comes to me, I am either oblivious or assume there's something wrong with what I'm wearing. My biggest 'asset' is my bum though so maybe it happens more than I think!
  • Lmao! Is the sex that good?!!! I mean, seriously! No protection? With a hook-up? Multiple times?!
  • You called? I'm not sure I can call myself a runner but jogger or plodder, certainly! I get out 3-4 times a week and currently training for a half. Looking forward to having more runner friends.. :drinker:

  • Please teach me about proper nutrition and exercise! Only now, at 23 years of age, am I discovering the healthy body beneath. Seriously, I have back dimples! Who knew?!
  • Get out the tape measure. Seriously, it changed my life when I was obsessing about the inaccuracies of weighing scales. I still weigh myself every so often but otherwise if I know I'm eating right and my measurements are consistently going down then I must be losing (even if I feel like a lump that day). Good luck! ETA: If…
  • Have some coffee and go ahead and do it. It may not be your best workout but it's better than skipping it and it might just help you sleep better tonight.
  • yep, I'm with the others. I've had a similar week of 2500-3000cals a day but I'm just going to shelve it and move on. It's just one week where I know I've gained lots of water weight and, maybe, just maybe, I might have a gained a pound or two of fat. I don't know and I can't really care as it will only take one or two…
  • Exercise is the biggest mood booster and I honestly don't think I'd be off anti-depressants now if I hadn't picked up running. Perhaps find an exercise that you can do, even if it's just for 10minutes a day and also, try not to buy any comfort foods as they'll bring your mood right back down (energy slumps, feeling like…
  • Please see a medical professional. I imagine this is a common problem for those in recovery so I think they would have lots of good advice. My 2cents: Keep an eye on what you eat in the hours before you binge. There might be an underlying trigger like low sugar levels. Perhaps you're not eating as much as you think or…
  • Yep, if they see you everyday they may not notice. I've not lost much but friends I hadn't seen in years noticed my puny 15lb loss but hardly anyone I see regularly has said anything. Those who have, have said my face is a little thinner so I think it also depends where you have lost the weight. It could also be down to…
  • Looking great OP! werk it!
  • :flowerforyou: /thread
  • Seriously? I don't mean to sound like I'm belittling people's feelings but this sounds like there were issues that ran much deeper in your friends' relationships with their parents. No one likes being lied to but on the list of things that would make me feel betrayed, Santa is so very far down... I never had the Santa…
  • Say what you like to your child but please don't deprive them of fond memories this time of the year. My parents hated all things make-believe as they deemed them dishonest and unrealistic hence no toys, no games in the house and definitely no Santa. It's no fun being that person who doesn't understand what there is to…
  • And us lurkers thank you for it. I knew almost nothing about calories and nutrition till I snooped around on the boards and listened to the so-called 'mean' people. Regarding the OP. To me there's a difference between the people who decide on or close to New Years that they'd like to meet some goal and those who decide in…
  • It didn't sound like you had in your original post but fair enough if you have. I'm lazy so I wouldn't bother with a new account but whatever works for you.
  • Plan for tomorrow. And tomorrow plan for the day after. Baby steps This sounds like a lot to me. I know when I set high goals, I feel like crap as soon as I slip up and usually give up soon after. Maybe this won't be the case for you but I'd go for smaller achievable goals over a shorter time frame. Maybe start logging…
  • No point changing your account. Just revamp the current one, keep your friends list and get a head start on your goals for 2014
  • I've not seen an ad on the internet for years now. https://adblockplus.org/en/chrome It's completely free (although you can donate to the guy who created it) You're welcome.
  • Oh Taunto..
  • ^lol at the fedora! So you think your sister was approached by him just because she was black? ...It couldn't be that out of all the other women of all different ethnicities in the room, your sister's smile caught his eye..? (I'm not saying he's not a creep but sheesh, not everyone who's enthusiastic has fetish!)
