I agree with everyone else, as hard as it is pregnancy is not the time to lose weight. If you eat at maintenance or slightly above and try and be active you will probably be able to control your weight gain for the rest of your pregnancy. I think some people just gain a lot in pregnancy. I'm 37 weeks pregnant and have…

@lauraaleshire what a jerk!

I feel you! I am almost 36 weeks and have gained 35lbs already. I started off quite small (5'6'', 130lbs, size 4) and I am carrying all in my belly and apparently I look huge. About five times a day for the past three months people have said "Oh my god you are huge", "Are you due any day now?", or "Are you sure there is…

I used the TDEE method before pregnancy and it accounted for my exercise (I.e I worked out 4x a week and ate 1700 calories a day to maintain my weight). Now I just set my calories to maintain and eat back exercise calories. Even doing this I've gained 33 lbs at 35 weeks! However I was quite slim prior to pregnancy.

@sardelsa @melnikn thank you all so much for the support!! It really does make me feel better to know that other women have gained more than the recommended 25-35lbs and still got it off in a reasonable time postpartum. All the pregnancy books really make you feel like 35lbs is a strict cut off! I know that I will be…

I'm 31 weeks and up 28lbs - doctors are fine with it as I started out quite slim. Just the past week or so I've started to get uncomfortable, not sleeping well, retaining water and feeling very tired. I've also developed an itchy rash on my belly that may or may not be PUPPS. However I had a pretty easy pregnancy overall…

I have found I definitely gain in spurts - for example last month I didn't gain anything and then this month I gained 7lbs. It definitely freaks me out! I also gain water weight super quickly, like I'll gain 4lbs in a day and then it will go back down
-
@EmmaDetermined I was wondering if you had delivered yet! Thanks for checking in! Do you normally go overdue with your babies? I am really hoping I'll deliver a little before my due date. My mom had be and my sister at 37 weeks, but who knows!

They offered me this test even though I am only 29, I declined as it was very expensive and I am low risk anyway.

I left my settings the same 45C / 25 P / 30 F but I totally haven't been able to meet them. I crave carbs waay more during pregnancy most days I'm around 50 percent carbs (like 200-250 grams)

I'm currently pregnant - but prior to pregnancy I was 134 and 5'6'', similar build to you. I maintained my weight at about 1800 calories a day. I had a desk job but I did a lot of exercise, 90 minutes of road cycling 4x a week and 45 minutes of weight lifting 3x a week.

Thanks everyone! I appreciate your support. When I brought it up with my doctor she was not worried at all and said my weight gain was right on track. I'm 29 weeks so there isn't too long to go now anyways!
-
@Eliz_99 and @_cassie623 you've both gained so little!! I don't get it :( I have been working out like crazy and tracking and I'm still up 20lbs. Oh well, what can I do!
-
@katsoslim those calories seem very low for pregnancy! I gain weight pretty easily but I'm also very active. I am 29 weeks and I'm up 20lbs (started at a BMI of 21). I eat maintenance but I do eat back my exercise calories which are about 400-500 per day so I normally come in between 2000-2200. I also track my macros and…

I'm doing well! I'm 28 weeks and feel gigantic. I'm a FTM and don't know how it's possible for my belly to grow any more. However overall I'm feeling good so I can't complain! Can't believe we are in our third trimester already!

I'm only 27 weeks but will definitely join postpartum!

4lbs at 13 weeks is totally normal! I don't have much advise as I am a FTM and really struggle with body image myself but wanted to say I understand :)
-
I haven't really gotten anything ready, but 3 months also feels like it's far away! I will probably start getting stuff ready after my shower on June 19th.
-
I'm currently 6 months pregnant so my routine has changed but generally I do 60 - 90 minutes of road cycling 4 days a week and strength training 3x a week, I do Strong Lifts 5X5, followed by 20 minutes of cardio. Since I've been pregnant I've been doing lighter free weights, spinning, and 10-15K steps a day. I'm excited to…

Amazing! Good for you :)
-
@Lourdesong That's great!! 20lbs at 17 weeks isn't bad. I'm up 20lbs at 25 weeks, which is a bit too much so I'm sticking to under 2000 calories and hoping to maintain for the next 2 weeks or so to get me back on track.
-
Sorry you're having a tough time! I've gained more than I would like too and I've been making an effort to get 15K steps a day and work out a few times a week, not sure if it's helping but it's making me feel better.
-
@spunkychelsea Thank you! That does make me feel better. My doctor said she didn't think I would go over 35 and it was very common for women to gain more weight in the second trimester.
-
I think I need to take a break from daily weigh ins - despite eating really well and exercising I'm up 17lbs at 23 weeks. I was crying this morning and my doctor said I need to relax and give myself a break because I'm on track. I'm going to try and only weigh in at my appointments. I'm jealous of all of you ladies who…
