I would suggest going into a store like ****'s sporting goods or Academy. They'll have a large selection and be helpful as to which types have what functions. You can also bring it right back if it doesn't work.

I didn't think there was any thing as too much protein. Especially if you're working out a ton. Protein helps you rebuild your muscles so you can bounce back from being sore faster. just my opinion ** not a doc =]

When your heart rate gets too high, mine does sometimes, you will probably feel it. My head pulses because off the blood pumping so fast. I just take a 2 min break and drink some water and wait till my HR goes back down to 130. Thats what I would suggest you do. **I am not a doctor, yet =], and this is just my personal…

Cravings may be because your body needs something. The other week i was craving bananas sooo bad and I ignored it, the next night I was up all night with cramps in my legs (from lack of potassium) maybe you need protein, thats could be why you're craving sushi just a thought =]

You HRM is going to be much more accurate, because its personalized. The Wii number is just a generic number, maybe taking into consideration your height and weight, but definitely not how strenuous the exercise is for you (how much it raises your heart rate)

Agree with 2 previous posts, i list every ingredient =]

I dont have much time to cook so each time i go shopping I pick out 3 recipes that i'm going to make that week and get those groceries, plus stuff i eat every week like juice, bread, eggs, fruit, yogurt, canned tuna... But when i cook i usually cook 4-6 serving at least (I just cook for myself) so those 3 recipes last all…

Yes, it is a whole grain and pronounced "Keen-Wa". If theres a whole foods near you, they have premade packages of quinoa, bulgar(another whole grain) and different flavorings. The brand is Garlic Clove Foods and my favorite flavor is Garden Pilaf. You just throw it all in a pot with some water (or broth) and cook for 20…

At a restaurant try to order something that you would make for yourself at home. Grilled chicken and veggies is always good If you order salad, don't get cesear salad, the dressing has so much fat and calories you might as well be eating fried chicken, lol Pasta in tomato sauce is another good alternative Avoid cream…

I know that there are people out there dealing with a lot worse things than being self conscious, but isn't this site supposed to be about supporting each other? Obviously I have confidence issues and I was just looking for other people who have the same issues as me. If you think the people who aren't confident are naive…

It doesn't exactly interfere with my daily living, except that when I go to class or whatever I feel bad about myself. But its not like I don't go to class because of it. It also doesn't help that I am living on a college campus, surrounded by girls my age who all seem to be prettier/ have more confidence than me.

One of the many reasons why I know that I love my boyfriend is because when I'm with him, I finally don't care about what other people do, think, or say. Only when I'm with him do I feel safe.

The Crossroads in the Barrens, back in the vanilla days. He was sitting on his pony with his Krol blade and I just thought he was too cool for school. 3 years of online friendship before we met and things started heating up, Lol!! I bought the Reetones over last summer (almost a year ago now) and I loved them. I remember the first week wearing them, I didn't change anything, just wearing the shoes and my thighs were SO sore! This past week I wore through the rubber part of the shoe that keeps the air in (essentially i popped them). I don't go…

Oh I never thought about that, I always use my inhaler before I workout. I have exercise induced asthma. Do inhalers raise your HR? Thats interesting... darn, I thought I was burning so much =/

I am currently doing a project at college investigating the accuracy of HRMs, so far we found that the ones with chest straps are way more accurate. So i'd get one with a chest strap. I recently purchased the Polar FT90 to use for our experiments. In a few weeks I can let you know what we found about the accuracy of the…

There is scientific research that suggest that although men loose weight more quickly than women, it is easier for women to keep it off. So we get a mixed deal ladies: we work harder, but the results are there to stay (more so than for men anyway) The thing about BMR is that the calculator probably assumes that a man has a…

The average American has their biggest meal at night, which is unhealthy because you have the least amount of time to burn it off before you go to sleep and you convert everything to fat. I have a read a lot of places to have 3 equal sized meals and 2 snacks. On a 1200 calorie diet that'd be 300cal per meal and 2 150 cal…

Canned tuna, lots of veggies, some fresh fruit, plain yogurt, baby carrots, kashi products (they have good snacky stuff), pita chips, humus.
