You need to eat more. I too am 5'8 and active. I have eaten more than you are to get to my current weight (149 lbs) but it still wasnt enough. I am currently averaging around 2500 cals a day. The scale only moved again when i increased my intake. You're hungry as you arent eating enough. Oh, and others have said drink lots…

You look great! Well done for all you've achieved / are achieving. Keep it up and ignore your work mates. I have had issues in the past myself with colleagues. It sucks and can really bring you down. Forget them. In some cases, it is probably jealousy. I know it is in mine!

Can't remember if I posted here, I don't think so. I live in Cumbria, feel free to add me chatty UK people!

Just added you - that's exactly what I'm looking for too so anyone else similar please add me

Possibly, but I doubt it. Last month I'm sure it was about 4-5 lbs if I remember correctly and I'm eating a lot less than I know I am able to eat and maintain. The body does what it does and it's not all linear is it? Some weeks/months u lose and others u don't even if u do everything right. I also do a lot if weights so…

anyone ?

5ft 8, currently 149-150 lbs (around 68kg/10st 9-10lbs) sizing varies depending on the brand etc. Jeans - UK size 10 Dresses / tops UK size 8-10 It's interesting looking on this thread seeing how weight has no real bearing on people's shape/sizing.

3 hours in the gym sounds excessive, no wonder you're eating so much after. Try working out for an hour max, then maybe u can moderate your eating a little more
-
Try and keep your protein high

I do SL 5x5 and run. I have done SL on and off for the past 2.5 years and I love it. I have had no problem losing weight whilst following the program. I do the program 2-3 times a week depending on work commitments/listening to my body as the weights are rather heavy now and I run 3 times a week. I'd highly recommend it.…

Im in the UK, I live in Cumbria. Feel free to add me anyone looking for new friends :)

I'm in the last 7-10 lbs too and I'm 5ft 8. It is very slow now but even if I only lose 1-2 lbs a month thats fine with me since I'm in it for the long haul. As long as that happens and I continue to make improvements in the gym I'm happy :) I only lost 2 lbs this last month but my tummy looks so much better and I have…

Chatty people looking for support can add me. I only have 7-10 lbs to lose and enjoy running combined with lifting heavy
-
I've got tabata pro

Hmm, 10lbs isn't an awful lot to lose so maybe the rate of loss will slow down anyway. Did u say u started at 173 so you've lost a good 40 lbs. I know you're only 5ft 2 but to me it sounds like you are very active running up to 40ish miles per week AND doing 3 strength sessions. I'd think you'd need to be eating a little…

Cashew nuts, apricots, flaxseed, dark leafy veg like spinach etc x
-
I have had the same problems in the past and some things good to boost your iron are cashew nuts, apricots (apparently), flaxseed (I buy it ground up and sprinkle it in my yoghurts, in couscous, on salads etc) and others have suggested, dark leafy veg x
-
I started with Body Pump classes at the gym and then moved onto Stronglifts 5x5 which I absolutely love! I bought the book Starting Strength to read as well, and it is fantastic. I'd highly recommend x

Hello, I'll add you. Well done on getting back to it after a break :)
-
Thanks guys.
-
Are u always so negative lol
-
I'd prob start with one then the other as you are a beginner. Because both will make you pretty sore at first since you're not accustomed to it. With C25K just go very slow, don't worry about speed. And SL 5x5 start as light as u need to I'd say

Oops sorry

I eat according to my goal which is to lose weight. My net is set at 1660 but I kind of eat according to hunger and my work shifts. My job is also active and involved working nights. Some days (often workout days) I won't eat back all my cals unless I'm actually hungry and want them. Equally, on other days if I'm hungry…

I'll add you guys who have posted :)

Lifting has helped my running immensely. I am much quicker without having to put half as much effort in. It's great!

Cool :) I have just done workout A which is my least favourite, followed by a few accessory exercises and a 1 mile run on the treadmill since i felt like it. So far I'm up to: Squats: 62.5 kg BP: 36 kg OHP: 26.5 kg DL: 70kg Bent row: 35 kg I'm pretty pleased with my progress. This is new territory with the squats since…
