  • IS YOUR CAPS LOCK "STUCK" AS WELL? OR DID YOU MEAN EVERYTHING TO COME ACROSS AS YELLING? but seriously, it'd be easier to comment if your diary was open. Also, I don't suppose there's any chance you took beginning measurements to compare to now? It's completely possible not to lose a pound yet lose inches. And I sincerely…
  • That doesn't necessarily mean its lower calorie- you need to look at the oz. For instance, if I'm eating 1 serving of pasta, I can have more cups of a hollow pasta, like penne, than i can have of little shells. If you smashed the 2 oz of each down into mush, they'd take up the same space, so neither would be better or…
  • nope ;) 1 serving= about 2 oz (dry)= about 210 calories. I found a food scale to be easiest for pasta- or some boxes will give you the serving size in dry cups
  • I appreciate the feedback; and I just looked up those skinny girl drinks; I'm definitely trying one!
  • I started with 3lb weights and barely made it through with those. And I'm glad I'm not the only one not able to walk normal after! edit: and I've been told to log it as circuit training
  • It's not a myth; you're supposed to have about 8 cups of water a day, but this includes tea, coffee, and even the water fruits are made up of and the like. count the tea :)
  • Well here's an issue in itself. If you're stressed and it's causing you loss of appetite, you're going too have to manage the stress before you can think about upping your calories (for example, if I try to eat when stressed I end up with terrible stomach cramps). On the bright side, a great way to deal with stress is…
  • LOL!!! Same for me, though it really doesn't matter, as long as you consistently wear the same thing (or lack thereof).
  • Wow. You sound like a very sweet, caring, slightly obsessive person ;). She sounds like a, for lack of a more fitting phrase, complete jealous b**** (sorry, calling it like I see it). You've done nothing wrong, nothing malicious, in fact, you've done something incredible that you should be very, very proud of. For your own…
  • Unless you have a strong aversion to toning your legs as well, I'd suggest trying yoga. It does a good job working out your entire body, and I personally find it very enjoyable. Also remember that even if you tone up, you need to lose the fat to actually see more definition and look more toned and tight. Throw in some…
  • I love walking but I was a bit scared to start running. I started doing the Couch 2 5k program and love it. It's pretty much this idea of jogging for a bit, then slowing down, repeat, but more exact/structured. I hadn't run much before I started so it's definitely do-able.
  • Great post, much appreciated info
  • I munch on frozen fruits for my late-night cravings. It's filling, takes a while to eat so you feel fuller when you're done, and super low calorie, so even if you don't have any calories left you don't mess up the whole day. Also helps with my terrible sugar cravings. My favorite is Dole Sliced Strawberries; only 25 cals…
  • ^^ this And I have to disagree with the people saying to run early in the morning or late at night. Be PROUD of yourself! or run with pepper spray on the offchance someone does stop to say something mean ;)
  • Don't do it!!!! this is the acai berry/cleanse set I specifically tried: http://www.amazon.com/Berry-Extreme-Vital-Cleanse-Colon/dp/B0028DTA94/ref=pd_sim_hpc_3 It was absolutely a waste of money. I've tried other diet pills that have worked relatively well (gained part of the weight back after stopping any of them, but I…
  • WW is the simplified and more expensive version of MFP. All it does is change calories and nutrients into point values to make them more easily countable. I actually prefer MFP, as I like to know the specific values (like protein and fiber) that I'm consuming and have more control. I'm not saying WW isn't a great tool, but…
  • Your friend gave you wonderful advice. As a teen I counted my calories closely, and used this as my main focus for losing weight/ staying thin. I can tell you right now that if my mother had tried to convince me to not watch the scale or count calories, I would have come off with the "you don't understand" attitude.…
  • Btw, how did you guys log the 30DS?
  • I keep seeing these before/after pics for the 30 day shred, I can't wait to start! You look amazing! I can see a big difference in your tummy and back; you look more toned as well as thinner
  • WOW!!! This is a serious NSV; you look as if you've lost closer to 20 lbs than 6! I absolutely love Jillian, I've been doing her Yoga (lvl 2) video daily, and was considering trying another. Did you work out other than doing the 30 day shred? (If so what, specifically?) Congrats again; you look amazing!
  • You get mad when people try to compliment you on your weight loss? Even awkwardly, they're trying to be nice and you're taking it in a way they clearly didn't intend. I've read multiple posts now about how cruel people can be making anti-fat comments at strangers; you really have no reason to complain. (there was a post…
