I heard an physical fitness "expert" (picture on cover of Men's Health) that core workouts, especially, should be done on an empty stomach. Don't know much else.

I've printed this out, I've got to try it. Sounds really simple. Thanks for sharing.

Wow, I thought I was having a pretty good breakfast with Yoplait Light Yogurt and one of Udi's great bread products. I'm impressed with the green smoothie, too, though I'd never have one. My son-in-law drinks them, too; says they're good. I'm going to have to try some of these other ideas like the pancakes. Glad I checked…

I'm a "breadaholic" so I have some kind of Udi's gluten-free bread ever morning along with Yoplait Light Yogurt. I have a lot of different things for lunch from leftovers, to cheese, summer sausage and Crunchmaster gluten free crackers, to sandwiches or a salad. Dinner is the meal I have the least problem with because we…

First, depending on how much you need to lose 1200 cals is enough. 2nd STOP weighing yourself every day; that's a big mistake I made. Once a week should be enough. Good luck!

It's my first gf Thanksgiving, too. Just going to be hubby and me and we're going to try making stuffing with gluten free bread cubes. Just read about them today. Your menu sounds delicious and very healthy.:flowerforyou:

I second the cinnamon raisin! Didn't find it, though when I went to the store today; hopefully, next time.

I used to make kale and zitti. You can also put it in soups.

I think if you've been diagnosed with Celiac disease that you need to be extra careful. The effects can be life-threatening. I, myself, have only a wheat allergy that keeps me up at night coughing and choking -- can't lay down. If a product contains wheat, that needs to be listed on the ingredients and I'm very glad of…

It has been my experience in the last few weeks that I need to eat a minimum of 1200 calories/day in order for my body to function properly. I tried to eat less because I don't exercise a lot, but my body just shut down and gained weight. Everything I've heard or read said that depending on your size and weight, a minimum…

OK, so I checked some of the websites you listed and saw that salads and drinks are gluten free. Salads are pretty safe anywhere, but if you want anything else, like a burger or chicken, you need to be careful.

Gunnoe, I think I got it at a local grocery called Caputo's. You can always look online to see where it is available in your area.
-
I'm not sure about Wendy's. I was on their website recently to check their food allergens and most items noted that they contained wheat. Please be very careful.

Didn't have time to log much on Saturday, but I did eat my 2 veggies if I remember correctly. Thanks for the gentle push in the right direction.

I'll try, but I won't guarantee anything. I'm the original "junk food queen" so eating healthy is really hard for me. But then again, that's why I'm in this program -- to retrain myself. I did do the punches yesterday.
-
I admit, I was kind of out of it this week, but I'll do the punches today -- along with house cleaning and hopefully walking. Busy, busy, busy.

Doctor took me off caffeine many years ago because of a minor heart condition. I went cold turkey from the Pepsi that I loved and the mocha coffees at the bookstore. I was sick with headaches and sniffles for about 3 months. Now I drink decaf and diet caffeine-free Pepsi, green and herbal teas and I'm just fine. Gotta tell…

I make the effort to walk every day. Today will be a challenge since I'm taking the car in for service and they said I'd be there about 2 hours. There's no place to walk around there either. We'll see what happens. Maybe it'll be ok because I've already been up and down the stairs several times with laundry.

I did the deep breathing. Felt really good.
-
I did mine for my meal to heat up.
-
I forgot to say, but I did the counter push ups the other day and the knee lifts yesterday. So of course, I'll do the heel lifts today. Thanks.

Lean meats, chicken, veggies, potatoes, rice are all good things to make for everyone -- gluten-free or not! Desert, now that's a hard one -- ice cream (if there's no dairy intolerance) and some chocolates are all I can think of. Beware and read ingredients -- my husband read the ingredients for Godiva chocolate,…

Reno is beautiful. Have a great time!
-
Can't do crunches, but can do side steps.
-
Sometimes the chocolate has gluten in it. I'm grateful that I just have a wheat allergy because they have to list it if it's contained in the product. For instance, Godiva has a wheat ingredient. Doesn't make any sense to me. Good luck to you.
-
I do the same thing just to keep moving. I like it!
-
I don't know about crunches, but I'll try.
-
I love these mini challenges, they really keep me going. Thanks!

I love to walk, so this is easy.

I did my wrist curls without any equipment this morning. I just make a loose fist, hold my arms out with palms facing down and bend my wrist up and down 10 times. Then I turn the arm around with palm facing up and bend my wrist up and down. I learned that when I had carpal tunnel syndrome and both wrists were in braces; I…
