  • I have pretty chubby wrists. And short arms to boot. I don't have a problem with it working accurately so far. But as I said in the other discussion you commented on I'm not a super fit athlete that needs 100% accuracy. A couple beats off and I'm still getting what I wanted from it. But I don't mind wearing is snug... If…
  • I got my surge yesterday as part of the limited release. I have a separate discussion started if you want to read my replied to questions and my comments about it. http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10030464/the-surge#latest
  • Sorry, one more thing for now. I really like that they have different activities programed in to track activities better. I had the bodymedia arm band for a long time and it was not very accurate for anything lower body that wasn't walking or running (like spinning, biking, and even sometime problems on the elliptical).…
  • True that the optical reader does have it's flaws. But when you enter a workout it takes more readings. In the every day more it does it every second or every 5 and then in the work out it's either every second or 5 times a second (to lazy to look it up right now). And who really cares if the every day is a bit off. It did…
  • I haven't seen anything but the black either, on their FB page they said they ran out of their limited supply so you are correct.
  • I also got mine today. So far I love it! I did have a few glitchy problems but restarting it once fixed everything. I haven't had time to test all the features yet and am pumped to try them all out. I live in Wisconsin and just got a gym membership so the GPS won't be as useful to me until summer when I go hiking (Google…
  • Dec 5th around 3PM. Ordered immediately.
  • I got the surge, setting it up as we speak. The up3 is listed as water resistant, not waterproof. Either way, wasn't a deal breaker for me. I just personally don't like jawbone since they bought out bodymedia and the Core2 has seemed to die because of it.
  • I got the surge mainly for fit reasons and it not being the 1st gen wearable fitness device from the company like the microsoft band is for them.
  • I signed up for the email asking to be notified when it was available, got an email, ordered. Got delivered today :) Very excited! And Sodakat, I think it's supposed to be constant as in every couple seconds but more frequently when you enter exercise mode.
  • I wonder if it's because of the limited surge release. Updating everything over live to support the new device. I get my first fitbit in the mail tomorrow so I too hope it's fixed soon!
  • Look on craigslist! A lot of people sell them this time of year for holiday cash. I bought mine new for 1200 then saw the same one a couple months later, used, for $600. You can get a very nice used one for $300. Just make sure you ask to use it before you buy it. I mean actually get your butt on it and have it powered on…
  • I don't usually eat all mine back (a lot of the time I eat none of them) but I also don't forbid myself from doing so. For special occasions I will literally workout just so I can eat them all (hello thanksgiving morning workout). I don't really think it's a must or can't, but a what is best for you.
  • ^That's the creepiest picture... I don't mind jumping as long as it's not in public. You could always do zumba!
  • yurp. I have done it a couple times, sad to say. It's always harder to get back on track. I think we both need to focus on health not weight...
  • That's awesome! Congrats on the awesome loss!!! My boyfriend and I are also doing this together too. He's a bit bigger than I and we started a formal competition for who loses more in a month based on percent. Winner gets to pick the movie for date night, we can have some very different choices so it makes it fun.
  • apples are allowed on paleo. it's not always low carb. just no processed carbs or white potatoes.
  • I'm going to bet it's from swelling and water retention... I'm having the opposite problem. I just started the 6-mo March diet bet and had to make myself heavier. I had oral surgery last Friday and am down 8 pounds since then... I try my best to eat but it's so hard to even drink water right now. I hope you are healing…
  • I would suggest trying to pair fruit/veggies with protein for a snack. It's something that is focused on in the weight watchers system too. It bulks up your snacks but it's healthy. examples: Grapes and cheese Hummus and Carrots Cheese stick and an apple I'm horrible at doing this myself, but when I do it does seem to help
  • Just to warn you they don't always do a great job of showing the modification.
  • *meant to quote this one*
  • I started her program with high hopes then got super annoyed with the poor quality of editing and proofing. Like not telling me to switch legs for the 2nd set and such.
  • When I did it I did not lose much he first month either, but I lost inches. Mid way through month 2 my arms where getting ripped and the pounds flowed off. It felt like in month one I lost fat and GAINED muscle, then in month 2 when I was capable of more cardio I lost more fat than muscle gained.
  • Polar makes a bunch that are GPS enabled. Some have a heart rate touch feature but most still need a strap for the heart rate monitor portion of it.
  • I am completely serious too!!! You look great!
  • Wowza! You look like a new woman! And you look younger! CONGRATS!
  • YOU LOOK AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • WOW!!!! Amazing!!! A friend from my hometown was in the infomercial for that program! lol But I think you did better! His before pic is a bit misleading since it was before he did: p90x, p90x2, insanity, and then body beast. I can see his actually bodybeast before and after on fb and I think you had beter improvents than…
  • I will be doing week 2 day 2 tonight! I LOVE it. My skinny running friends kind of looked at it, like wow how easy is that! BUT... For someone like me who is over weight and never a runner, it is challenging enough to make myself need to push hard but not so hard I give up! I am VERY excited for next week. I am doing the…
  • WOW!!! How fantastic!
