Why would you eat fast food if you're low on money? Spend your food money at stores like Aldi (or whatever cheap store you have available) and load up on oatmeal, beans, veggies, fruits, and tuna..dirt cheap. It is not expensive to eat healthy/filling. -also; if you're primarily eating McDonald's that explains why you feel…

No. Not real. But chronic under-eating especially while training can cause a bunch of undesirable metabolic effects.

Yes I agree, totally not necessary to eat in the morning. I successfully lost 15 pounds by delaying breakfast till noon. I had to reinstate early breakfast recently however because I began heavy strength & conditioning around 9am and there's no way I could preform without fuel. Design your meals when they work for YOU.…

I don't know my body fat percentage; I have calipers but don't really know how to use them. All I know is I'm muscular..this pic doesn't show my trouble area which is my thighs. I would also I like my arms to be smaller and more defined...I think I have a light layer. ? I would "guess" myself at like 20% bf.

Oh also I forgot to add I did cardio at the gym this morning plus weights… I used my fit bit so I didn't manually enter it on my fitness pal, and it still doesn't really give me anything extra. It's weird how these things work.

I made my diary public..As you can see I eat plenty of food… And I'm not super strict like a bodybuilder. But I am pretty mindful and my macros are usually pretty balanced. Last night I was not supposed to eat that turkey sandwich and apple and popcorn and all of that, but I waited tables all night and was super hungry…

In the past I have done intermittent fasting… Back when I weighed 185 pounds I was able to drop 20 pounds doing that. I never felt restricted and I was only eating about 1500 cal per day sometimes less. But I did not train jujitsu back then, and I did not do strength and conditioning… It was basically just dieting. So I'm…

I was maintaining 162 on anywhere from 2400 cal per day to sometimes 2600. I wasn't logging as strictly either. I wanted to drop a little bit of weight to be lighter for jujitsu purposes, so I tightened up my logging. It's hard to add calories from jujitsu because who knows what you actually burn?? I've heard anywhere from…

Potatoes are amazingly healthy. Why would you want to cut them out? Don't believe the myths surrounding carbohydrates and especially whole plant foods. Potatoes pack a huge potassium punch, as well as Vitamin C, fiber, improve mood and satiation. They also lower blood pressure. Enjoy!

You are going to get all kinds of different opinions, everyone has one. I personally don't find a diet healthy that doesn't include the bountiful fruits vegetables, healthy whole-grains and starches that have been proven to lower blood pressure and create internal health. I eat plant-based, plenty of potatoes and rice…

Although Dr. McDougall is a little bit far out with some of his ideas and to extreme on some of his views, he also has a lot of good information for those wanting to transition to a starch-based or plant-based diet. One needs to just keep an open mind when listening to his stuff or reading his books, use your own head and…

My son almost got his Zevia taken away at lunch because there is a no soda rule. He then explained to the teacher it's carbonated water with natural flavors. I guess they have a no soda rule at my school which I actually think is great, there are so many parents that don't give a *kitten* about their kids or what they eat……

Traditional Medicinals Lemon Balm for digestive bloating, Dandelion root tea for water weight bloating. Great company!

Yes! Anything that stresses the body can throw off hormonal balance and cause acne flare-ups, particularly for women who are not on oral contraceptives. Make sure you're eating enough to fuel your training-I found under eating while intensely training really screwed with mine. Calories will be different for everyone so you…

Highly highly recommend martial arts!! 3rd degree brown belt in Aikijitsu here; been training for over 15 years. I have also done Krav Maga and taekwondo, and just recently started training Brazilian jujitsu six months ago. Every art has its own set of benefits. Taekwondo was my least personal fav but I have actually…

Thanks for the reply! Yes I feel massive next to the 120 pound girls I roll with. I will never be a tiny, but I would like to weigh what I did before motherhood which was between 145 and 155 pounds. Not sure if this is possible without extreme restriction as my oldest sons are five and I've never been able to get past 165.…

Bump. Any charge HR users?

Stats: 5'7 and 168 pounds, 33 yrs old. Goal weight is 155ish

I guess I'm just wondering if I should further drop my calories. I tend to feel really horrible if my calories are below 1600 with as active as I am. (Brazilian jujitsu multiple times per week, 14,000+ steps per day, strength training and active mom of three young boys) my hormones go crazy if I eat too little. I really…

I have an iPhone. I've had these problems in the past, it's really frustrating and I wonder if it's coming from myfitnesspal end?
-
I would like to know the same thing it's really starting to piss me off.

OP I just had to reply to you because I have the same thing happened to me when I start to lose weight. I thought I was the only one… It's terrible. I literally have to choose between losing weight and having a clear face. I'm guessing it's my hormones because when you lose body fat your hormone levels fluctuate, also…

fml mine isn't syncing either. really frustrating. my exercise cals aren't showing in mfp. neither are my steps. is this a common issue?

THANK YOU! Didn't realize it was separate! Clears my question right up:)

Not a vegetarian, but don't eat many animal products so I'll chime in: Multigrain Flat-out wrap filled with scrambled egg whites, chopped spinach and green peppers, with a cup of berries on the side and hot green tea is one of my favs. or reg oatmeal made with unsweetened almond milk, a tablespoon of organic maple syrup…

a couple tablespoons of organic whole milk is delicious in coffee and as long as it fits in with your calorie budget is just fine. Enjoying some full-fat foods as part of a well-rounded diet helps keep you satiated, in my experience. :)
