  • I would buy a snowboarding lift season pass. Worth it. What an amazing workout.
  • Foam rolling and a flexiril prescription from my doc.
  • Absolutely. I lift hard and trying to excel at both that and running is a b*tch, lol. I think it's ideal to keep up continued endurance, but if you can't, it's nothing to be ashamed of. Your *kitten* is out there running!
  • Re-rack your f*cking weights! The end.
  • You better believe I felt that intimidation at first. ...but I asked an employee at the gym to show me form on the lifts I would be doing. After that, I just threw myself into it. It was hard at first. I was intimidated. Just keep doing it and you'll be amazed at how quickly the weightfloor becomes YOUR area. I promise you…
  • I've never even looked into trail shoes, so my opinion goes with a grain of salt. I wear my vibrams up in the heights of the rocky mountains. I don't know if the terrain gets more rugged than that and the vibrams are awesome! Yes, mine are wearing out faster than standard, but that's the life of trail running.
  • You kick *kitten*, Viv! You've accomplished so much and I am proud to call you my kickass friend! Keeping the weight off for that amount of time is no easy thing to do and the fact that you have just shows how ccommitted and strong you are. I know you have the strength to keep seeing your goals through. Keep killing it,…
  • There would probably be 20 squat racks so there is never a wait, but most importantly I just would want lots of members, but people who are well versed on gym manners... not getting weird if people want to work in, reracking your weights, wiping down equipment. Other than that, it would be fun to have people who could…
  • I've not read through all the drama and don't know if the OP is even still here to listen, regardless, here are my two cents.. The more you learn about fitness and nutrition, you'll see even more contradictions. It goes along with the adage "the more you learn, the more you realize how little you know". What that said,…
  • I drink this twice a day with a tbsp of organic apple cidar vinegar, not for the purposes of "weight loss" directly, but because it boosts your immune system and the vinegar helps to cleanse your liver. A healthier, better feeling and functioning body MAY indirectly affect weight loss, much in the same way that drinking…
  • I love working out and don't have children, so Christmas is more of a relaxed and laid back event for me... so I'm totally working out. We got a huge blizzard that blew through today, so instead of my normal run, I'll opt for just a good, steady fun burn on my kinect with Zumba or Sports and probably won't log it.
  • I usually try to avoid even noticing, but I couldn't help but notice this guy the other day doing terrible, terrible squats. He was showing off and thinking he was the *kitten* with a lot of weight. Yeah, it's easy to squat that much when you're half-assing it! lol I just focused back on me and my *kitten*-near-to-ground…
  • I'm cool with it. I have my sister-in-law on here and she's one of my biggest supporters! My brother is on here, and I have him as a friend, though he doesn't use the site socially. I'm a little more reserved on facebook because I don't want to offend too many conservative people that I grew up with, though I push the…
  • I have no idea if this company has chains back east, but I discovered the restaurant Noodles & Company this weekend. They are all about fresh food. They make every dish fresh in front of you, but the prices are excellent, just barely above fast food. They pride themselves on being a fresher, healthier alternative. Many of…
  • True, true. There is some dark part to human nature that makes us still like to watch it. I think because we know it isn't really real, just a simulation. While the simulation is scary enough, it would be completely out of the question to watch a real, recorded rape.
  • This. That movie completely disturbed me. Also, any movie that has violent, unconsenting sex against a woman. The Last House on the Left disturbs me.
  • I worked up to cycling 30 miles at a time this summer (not stationary, outdoors) and I so, so loved it! I find cycling more fun than running. That said, running gives me faster results than cycling and for me is a better all-over body workout. I really enjoy running too, I just think cycling is more fun.
  • Flan. It always looks like it's going to taste good, then I taste it. Yuck!
  • This year my husband and I did not coordinate. I was a Roman goddess and he was slasher Mitt Romney. (see profile pic). Last year we were Little Red and the Big Bad Wolf.
  • I was going to be a cheerleader this year, but I have scary, scary welts all up and down my legs and arms from tough mudder this past weekend. If it doesn't heal fast enough, I may have to go as a football player instead, lol. I vote Rainbow Brite for your boyfriend...hilarious!
  • 15-17% is the most attractive to me, but I find up to 30% attractive.
  • I bike alongside of heavy city traffic in spots and average 14-16 mph during my ride, so yes, I absolutely do. I would be an idiot if I didn't in those conditions.
  • people who revel in ignorance and yet still get to help decide my future, ie: vote.
  • This is a good question and a debatable one. For myself, I hurt trying to go into an event with no workout the day before. My muscles and joints seem to get stiff and I don't perform as well. I've learned from experience. For TM, I'm planning on taking 2-4 days off previous to the Saturday event, but probably a long and…
  • I love seeing hiking pics! Looks like you had a great day of hiking!
  • I'm very late to this thread, BUT I'm doing a lot of late summer hiking this year. My hiking is spent exploring the range to the east of the Salt Lake Valley, the Wasatch. My profile pic is from a hike a did with my husband this past weekend. In mid-September, we're going to be once again hiking Mt. Olympus. Last year I…
  • What are you talking about? I guess it depends on the yoga pants you buy, but the kind I wear are tight and show everything! I could NOT wear them if I thought I was fat. I guess you're talking about how they fit, but I care more about how I look in them.
  • I'm below average nationally and above average globally. I'm most like someone from Spain. Ole!
  • I just made this this morning. I used a more fitted t-shirt and it turned out super cute. I love it! Thanks for posting. :)
