Love your pic! Love your post! THANKS!

Love your rant! And, I loved your response to the "advice". I might just use that one. :O)

Good, dark chocolate is full of anti-oxidants among other health benefits. :O)

My Mom was always on a diet - and always really big. I cringe at the word. I say things like "I'm being really disciplined about what I eat right now". Or, I'll even soften it up further, e.g. "I'm trying to be really disciplined about what I eat right now." I find myself putting it in context as well, e.g. "since I got…

One of the reasons I'm here is that my sweet old dog passed away. I didn't think I was burning many calories walking her, but low and behold 10 pounds snuck on after her death. YES! Go for big, log walks/runs with the dog. You'll poop her out and burn a bunch of calories for yourself. Plus the mental health benefits of a…

Inspiring! And you both look younger and happier too. (How does that happen?) :O)

Thanks for posting this! I've been thinking about running and for inexplicable reasons, it's VERY hard for me. But, I play a lot of team sports which are endless sprints and runs up and down a field. I've joked for years that I can run as long as I'm chasing a child or a ball. LOL! But, why is it so hard to get outside…

OK. Reality check. NINETY NINE pounds! Holy Moly! Good for you! I know you must be dying to make that 100 pound goal. But, WOW! You've already won! Good for you! And, good on the successful planking. :O)

I would say that (assuming youv'e quoted him correctly) his choice of words was FAR from ideal. But, if you're with a guy that's not particularly good with words, but actually has a heart of gold (believe you me, I know about this scenario. LOL!), then he's probably doing something nice. If I could put words in his mouth:…

Good for you! Just wait until there's no x in your size! You're going to love that! I know you can do it. :)

Oh - and good luck with your daughter. I have two friends with disabled kids and I see the sacrifices they make daily. You guys are my heros! Honestly. You should give yourself a pat on the back!

Hey - I had a thought spring to mind when I read this. My Mom raised four kids on VERY limited funds. I learned SO much from her about saving money. One of her best tricks is to make her own laundry detergent. She cleans mostly with vinegar and water and her house was/is spotless - let me tell you. So, if you're looking…

I don't know if it's a line or not, but I've been told by a guy that men like to look at a woman who's very thin, but they like to hold a woman that's got some padding. Hmm..... :O)

That's true - the free newletter and recipes are great. I still get, and use, those. :O)

I've done weight watchers and was hmm'ing and hawing about doing it again when I found MFP. I honestly don't know what ww has, that this site doesn't have. IMHO. :O)

I've had "bad" skin my whole life. Well, not really bad, but not clear either. I FINALLY got the nerve to go without foundation. I figure that with all the exercise I do mid-day/end of day, it's probably not good to have a coating on my skin. It's almost a month now, but I notice a huge difference. I guess all that jazz…

You know what would be a great topic? What do you LOVE eating now that you never thought you'd enjoy? For me: Babybel light cheese.

I had to think about this one - I've been watching what I eat for SO long. In the 90's when we were all "No fat! Fat makes you fat!", I used to make up this low-fat Fettucine Alfredo packaged crap. I'd eat the whole thing for dinner. I might throw in some carrots or broccoli and convince myself it was healthy. But, it was…

I'm kind of supersticious. I have a box of "big girl" clothes in the attic. Every now and then I look at them and think I should donate them. But, I have this weird feeling that if I ever get rid of them, I'll get big again. I haven't fit into those clothes in about a decade! I'm weird! (But, I definately keep variable…

For sure! I love to have a drink or two with the bfriend on the weekends. I'll skip snacks for that. I also try to go with the lower calorie drinks, e.g. Smirnoff Ice Light.

I know of two young men who are very, very thin and self-conscious due to thoughtless things said in passing by their Grandmas. I'm sorry you've had to experience this pain. I guess I started the way I did to tell you that you're not alone. It's up to you whether you feel it's most helpful to confront or ignore. But,…

Thanks for the reminder to measure!

If you have a Superstore near you, you might want to try the cotton thongs from Joe. They are really comfortable. And they're cheap too. So, if you don't like them, you haven't spent a fortune.

I'm about 5'1". I have a booty no matter how slender I am. At about 135, I'm about a size 7. At about 140, I'm about a size 8 or 9. Although, I have some size 6 (Levi Riders) and they fit just great at about 140 too. Pants are tricky! I sometimes have them tailored. It's worth it.

That's inspiring! Thanks for sharing! (You look AWESOME! Keep it up!)

That's a great idea! Sorry, I don't have a recipe. But, hopefully, you get some good ones and I'll definately give them a try. Thanks!
-
That I like to think of myself as sporty.

Love that! Thanks!
