That's awesome. You can do it! Slow and steady (and determined) wins the race. :O)

Also try eating different kinds of foods. For me (and apparently a lot of us) it's not just calories. I can eat a lot more calories if I'm eating good, healthy protein like whole raw almonds. I feel better too. I don't crave sugar as much and I look better - even if the scale doesn't move.

Dear God Almighty - this needs to be said. I have a sedentary job and am only 5'1". I canNOT eat only 1200 calories a day - even netting that is difficult. But, 1400 - 1500 calories a day is entirely do-able and still keeps me slim. I think the important thing to know is that just a couple of hundred calories can make the…

This happens to me a fair amount. Here are a few strategies: 1. If I ate a restaurant then I try to find a similar database entry from a restaurant. I always estimate high because restaurants tend to use more oil and butter etc. Applebees is often a good choice to search for. 2. I ate at someone's home or a potluck, then…

I was married to a man who, I swear to gawd, for 15 years never said so much as "you look nice today". It turns out he was, actually, a jerk and I divorced him 8 years ago. Then I had a few relationships with great guys, and not so great guys, that said something nice every time they saw me. I loved that. Then, I found Mr.…

BIG CHANGE!!! Good for you!

YAY! That's awesome!! You know what else I love? Those days when you are craving something healthy, or antsy because you a dying to go exercise. These are signs that you are truly a healthier, happier, more-in-control person. GOOD FOR YOU!

Great job. I love that you still have curves. I'm straight, but you are HOT!!!! :O)

Love your pic. It's hilarious. I was just in Quebec for the first time this summer. I love "La Belle Province". The Isle D'Orleans may have been my favourite part. I just did the touristy things - Montreal and Old Quebec city, but it was lovely!!!!

Perhaps you are consuming so much water that you take longer to pee than the automated toilet would expect. That's also an NSV! :O)

Absolutely! The only way to fail is to give up. As long as you keep trying, you have won!

Boy, that's a tough one. I would definately bring whole unsalted almonds and a little good dark chocolate. Apples and cheese would be good too.

Thanks! I really needed to see this today!

BTW: My friend is having her second baby at the end of this month. Believe you me, she's happier about that than about any clothing purchase. :O)

I'm so glad I saw this forum because I had EXACTLY the same thing happen for me. And my co-worker gave me her clothes for exactly the same reason. We work on opposite ends of the office on different projects, so I had no dilemna, I just started wearing her clothes to the office. But, ocassionally, we will bump into each…

GREAT tip! Here's something I've noticed has improved my skin: More sweat, less makeup. It's true! (Well as long as you wash off that sweat fairly quickly) :O)

So cool! Thanks for sharing!! This reminds me of some observations I had during the Summer Olympics: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/blog/happypath101?month=201208

Good for you! I can especially see it in your arms. Great work!

As always, you speak the truth. And, I LOVE the analogy. Having had several "promotions" without a pay raise, that one really hits home for me. Well said!

I run alone in trails all the time. I sometimes worry about my safety, but I try not to let fear direct me. Having said that, I NEVER put any earbuds in or use headphones or anything. I heard a policeman talk about this once, and it really stuck. You can't prevent everything, of course, but if you can hear what's going on…

I LOVE these posts. It feels like shopping with a friend. I'm with the masses - go for the black. But add some colour - a teal shawl OR some red shoes, something like that. Have fun! (And kudos on putting so much effort into your hubbies' night. I'm sure he appreciates it.)

I'm 5'2" and pear-shaped as well. I'm still trimming down my gutt and butt, but here's what I've noticed: - Tae Bo for your lower back, obliques, and upper bum ( I think it's all the kicking) - Shape-Ups and long brisk walks on hills for inner thighs and lower butt. (I've lost a full inch on my thighs doing this) - Running…

Training for life. I love it!! I just may steal it.

Good luck SuperDad!

The last time the boss brought in donuts, he also brought in a big pile of fruit. I won't say the fruit went before the donuts, but many of us chose fresh fruit instead with gratitude.

That's great! Good for you!

I've been doing the Jillian Michaels videos (30 day shred, extreme shed and shred). She has lots of squats and lunges. There are some leg lifts I totally feel in my butt. Anyway, I have a new muscle in my butt cheeks that was not there before I started. My bf called me "buns of steel" the other day. You might wanna try…

1. I can shop wherever I want to - even in the malls for the tiny, little Asian girls. I may be a large there, but I can actually get something off the rack and fit it. 2. My asthma is under control. 3. When I wake up every morning, I can hop out of bed - literally. I no longer feel like a 1000 pounds of slug first thing.

Oh boy! That's a tough one. My workplace has been super stressful and I've been able to channel it into exercise. Could you? Another thing struck me about this situation. Your employer knows she's a problem and is worried they'll lose you. How about using this time to negotiate some terms. How about saying something like:…
