Yup. This week a co-worker told me she didn't want me to get anorexic. Um. Ya. Not a problem. (I'm sitting at a healthy 138 and have never had a problem with being too thin.)

That is beyond awesome!

My mom puts my lunch into a paper bag. There will be a peanut butter and jam sandwich. My Mom has made the bread and the jam from scratch. In fact, the berries could have been grown in our garden or picked by us recently. I put the bag into my little daisy basket on the front of my bike. I take off, for a WHOLE DAY. I…

The closer you are to goal, the harder it is. I think you also have to be really leery of those charts. They don't always take into account muscle mass and the right kind of curves. And, you have to kind of shift the focus from what the scale says to other things. We all know that muscle weighs more than fat. But, it's…

That's me. I'm basically in maintenance mode, but would like to just slim down a bit. I'd like to be a little leaner and I'd also like to have a little room to indulge on an upcoming vacation. Please free to make a friend request. I'd love to have a support network of like-minded "losers". :O)

Me on a boat-trip a few weeks ago. I'm really proud of my legs in this shot. I'm actually really self-conscious of them. But, some posing, and a LOT of lunges, and I like them now. I may not post a pic. But, the next goal is to be that comfortable without throwing a t-shirt over the bikini. Great post. Thanks!

Thanks for the post and thanks for this response. I'd actually never thought to look for this online; I thought you needed a machine. I'm a short, curvy, muscular girl and the BMI puts me at just overweight which I think is kind of BS. My % on this site is 20.73% So, YAY!

That meal is going to taste SO MUCH YUMMIER in that dress. :O) Good for you!

The most important thing is to be determined but patient. You'll find things that work for you, but not for others. Things that work for others, and not for you. And things that work for you for a while, and then frustatingly, just don't any more. Use the scale, but use measuring tapes and other NSVs (Non-Scale Victories)…

Hey there! I can't comment on any of the brands you list. But, do you get New Balance in the UK? I really love my New Balance cross-trainers. I have small, wide feet. I also broke one of them years ago. I have pins and arthitis in that foot now. The New Balance are totally comfy for me. Also, I LOVE getting Sports inserts…

Just in case you're wondering what someone who's lost 4 pounds has to offer..... ;o) I was over 200 at one point years and years ago. I'm basically maintaining right now with the slight variation to the theme that I'm trying to lose 10 pounds before a vacation. Take care! :O)

Sometimes, one of the reasons that we struggle with our weight is that we don't see ourselves properly to begin with. I call it the "fat mirror phenomena". You can be really slim and see only what's wobbly and think you're heavy. And, I know when I was really heavy, I'd look in the mirror and think it wasn't too bad - when…

I wanted to follow it and it got weird. Too bad! I liked your "back rubs for everyone" comment. LOL!

I've definitely got booty. I've noticed when I work out old school (lunges, bicycles etc.) my butt will often be bigger (by the measuring tape) because those muscles are lifting it up. If I keep going, it'll shrink down from weight loss and tightening muscles. But, bigger and lifted is way better than smaller and heading…

WOW! I'm so inspired! Your tummy is awesome! That's my motiviation. :O)

Wonderful! May I suggest you make reservations and take hubby out? :O)

I'm doing the 30-day shred. Jillian Michaels has some great ab work in there. I **think** it's working. (Same issue here for me - except it was a rushed and rather ragged c-section.Sigh!)

Me! The only reason I'm blonde is that I have a deal with my bf. He'll grow/keep a goatea if I go blonde. Sigh!

Great job. Love the outfit too. Very classy!

YAY! You can do SO much!!! :O)

Sometimes the real trick is moving from acquaintance to friend. If there's someone (or several someones) that you'd like to spend more time with or have always been inspired by/curious about/impressed with, then make a move to make it a relationship. Invite the person for tea. My current favourite is to ask a…

Good news! I love course salt - especially Himylan mountain salt. It's loaded with minerals and SO yummy! I can eat a plate of veggies with some herbs and salt and be more than happy. Take away the salt.... boo hoo!

I can totally relate. In fact, one of the main reasons I got on MFP was because I was going crazy with sugar cravings. Here are things that have worked for me. I hope it works for you. (I'm also curious to see what has worked for others.) * Eat protein. Every time you eat, get some protein in there. Here's my general…

That's almost exactly how I did it too. I really like the point about loving yourself/your body. I knew that to be true. But, I didn't know there was any science behind it. Cool!

Good stuff!! I have some pics from the week my son was born where I have cut myself out! I'm sometimes glad I did; sometimes not. What's important is that the kids grow up with a healthy Mom. Looks like your kid(s) will be just great. Congratulations! :o)

Check out this web-site. This lady is amazing. I'm a huge fan. http://www.gailvazoxlade.com/

Awesome! There was a time in my life where I said a lot of unkind stuff to myself - in my head, while looking in the mirror every morning. So, I found a great picture of me as a kid and I pinned it to that mirror. Every time I spoke to myself about myself I had to look at that sweet, smiling, freckled face. My self-talk…

My accupuncturist had me do this to help with always feeling cold: Get a bit of fresh ginger-root and slice off a medallion. Put it in a mug with some honey. Add hot water. So many kinds of awesome. :O)

Full 5-day week in Canada. And, I had a hard one at that. In fact, I'm still working (got MFP on the other screen while I wait for an update to finish). Tonight is low-cal dinner (soup) and off to Hot Yoga. But, tomorrow, my friend, tomorrow there will be a nice dinner and a glass of wine (after Jillian Michaels has her…

I don't think that we know everything about weight loss (the "we" meaning humankind) yet. Once we fully undertand cancer, the common cold, and appendices for human bodies of all kinds, then we can expect to somewhat understand the metabolism and dietary needs of the individual. OK. I said that a bit tongue in cheek. But, I…
