  • Hi! I’ve been using tirzepatide since 12/12/23 and am down 19.5 pounds as of today. The only side effects I’ve been having lately is a little constipation which I’m trying to stay in front of. Feel free to add me as a friend!
  • I haven't tried it yet but I ordered a waterproof pouch that fits my iPhone 5.....there is enough room to slip my fitbit one in with it (minus the clip). I tested it with a piece of tissue in the pouch first and put it in the water and it was still dry. I got it for when we go to the water park with all that walking.
  • Assalaamu alaikum! I don't think I've posted here yet. My name is Christine and I've been on MFP since December 2010. I've logged in everyday since then even when I've gone WAY over calories! :) I used it to keep a hold on my weight when I was pregnant with my son in 2011-2012. I've been a muslimah for 10 years…
  • I will be fasting this year insha'Allah and each year I do lose weight. I think the key is like a previous poster said: try to get in the same amount of calories as if you weren't fasting. I don't usually have a problem with that! :)

  • I've said it before but I'll say it again: you are truly an inspiration to me! Fabulous job!
  • I'll be here! But as I mentioned in the other thread, I'll be going on vacation 9/2-9/10. So I'll start fresh on Monday 9/12. But I will still be logging as best I can and I'm taking my HRM to use while walking and whatever else we do. I really need to pull it back together. I've found myself thinking "oh a bite of this…
  • I've started my exercise back up pretty regular since I've been excused from fasting this last week. I won't be fasting the six days after Eid though...we leave for vacation this Friday insha'allah! Ramadan has really done a number on my weight loss this month. I know that wasn't the goal this month but this is the first…
  • You can see the forums through the Safari browser on the iPhone. I'm using it right now for this post! :)
  • Well TOM has come again and we had cake and cupcakes for my birthday on Friday and Saturday combined with loads of sodium and not enough water so I'm not seeing that same fantastic loss as just a few days ago! LOL I've drank a lot of water today trying to flush it all out of my system. And then I have vacation coming up…
  • Salaam sister! I have switched when I'm weighing in to exactly like you mentioned. Outside of Ramadan I do it first thing in the morning but in Ramadan I've been doing it prob about 3 hours before iftar (only because that's when I get home from work). I think it's been working well. Alhamdulillah I've lost 11.7 pounds…
  • Very nice reminder sis Bosanka! Thank you!
  • That much cleaning is definitely an exercise! I wear my HRM when I do my whole house cleaning. I've seen ppl debate that it is something that we do regularly so we shouldn't count it...but I know me: I don't clean everyday and when I do I am sweating so going to count it! :)
  • Well I did it again! I slept thru my alarms for suhoor!! I think it was last Sunday that I did it too! Another long day ahead....about 12 hours exactly. :(
  • I'm so excited! My husband is coming home tonight insha'Allah after being away since June on business! Since he's last seen me I've lost another 22.4 lbs! But having him home always disrupts my routine because he likes to eat out a lot! Here's praying that I don't undo the hard work I've done. His flight arrives late which…
  • Right after Ramadan I'll be taking a long needed vacation with my family to sunny Florida! Can't wait to spend time in the *private* pool! I get a little pale, ya know, and it's nice to have the opportunity to get some sun! ;) I'll still be logging everyday because I don't want to lose my login count (every day since…
  • I finally got some actual walking in! I burned 461 cals for 80 mins of walking....don't know how many miles though. I'm really thirsty though. Two hours and 15 mins left till I can break my fast!
  • Trying to eat a whole day's worth of calories at almost 9:00 pm at night is not fun or easy (I missed suhoor this morning so I'd been fasting for almost 24 hours...yikes!). I was lightheaded and dizzy most of the day...to the point I had to do my prayers from a chair because whenever I would stand up I would see black…
  • You aren't alone! :) My whole thing with exercise is that even before Ramadan I wasn't doing it everyday.....I'm pretty good at keeping below my calories without it and still losing weight since MFP already builds that deficit that you need to lose weight. Maybe as I keep losing and have less calories, I'll have to…
  • I also agree and have the Polar FT7....you can get them on Amazon.com for under $100 depending on color (of all things!) Mine is the black and gold women's model and I think I paid $80 something. You can get that one for $79.54 now (I just looked it up).
  • I'm really missing my water! I was used to drinking water all day long...anywhere from 12-18 cups! I'm not feeling so hungry, just thirsty and tired. I haven't exercised since the first day and I still haven't gotten on my laptop to update my ticker with that! I'm not really worried that I'll go over my cals....I have over…

  • Today is my first day of being able to fast, alhamdulillah. I drank my normal protein shake with a litlle extra protein powder and tried to finish a bowl of oatmeal but could only get in about 3/4 of it before feeling like I was about to burst! I drank 5 cups (40 oz.) of water. Insha'Allah this day goes well. I've been too…
  • I woke up again to check if I could fast, but still excused.....insha'allah tomorrow I can! It makes it a bit awkward when at work people come up to me and say hey, isn't it Ramadan? Why are you eating lunch?!? I'm glad they are aware of things that happen outside of their own beliefs but I really feel weird saying why I'm…
  • Ramadan Mubarak everyone! Moon, I would love for you to post what your nutrionist came up with for you. Thanks!
  • That was a very informative read! I'm definitely going to add a spoon of honey to my suhoor meal. :) I love honey!
  • Bosanka I am thankful for your writings! You are a wealth of info and I appreciate you for starting this thread and for keeping it going. Look...we are already on page 3 with posts and Ramadan hasn't even begun yet! I'm glad you cleared up that walking isn't the only thing to do this month. I know I mentioned earlier but…
  • This is my husband! We've already strong discussions because he's said he wants me to stop at 220 and I said my goal is currently 180 and he thinks that's "too skinny." I said to him, "How about we just focus on my health and not the number on the scale?" but I know as I get lower it's going to get worse from him.
  • I couldn't give up cheese....I could give up ice cream before I could give up cheese! I still have it whenever it fits in my diary. I can't stand the fat free cheeses (when it has a different color than real cheese, I'm not even trying it!) but the 2% milk cheeses taste exactly the same to me (I just buy Kroger…
