  • Thanks  Even before my weight loss my diet wasn't what I would consider a cholesterol buster. I ate eggs infrequently, no red meat, etc. But I was a terrible snacker (chips and such, which tend to be high in saturated fat I guess). The changes I made in my diet are: daily oatmeal for breakfast (into which I throw…
  • Thanks for the inspiration! You look fantastic!
  • Along with all the other good advice given here, you might also try interval training with your walking. After your warm-up, walk at a very brisk pace for 1 minute, then ease off for, say, 2-3 minutes. Keep that cycle going for the duration of your workout.
  • That wasn't at all obvious to me. I list one shred workout as 10 mins of cardio + 10 mins worth of strength exercise, which I estimated as 20 sets of 15 reps, using the weight of my hand weights (3, in my case). I like the idea keeping the tempting…

  • Heard an interesting interview with David Kessler, former FDA chief, who has a new book "The End of Overeating: Taking Control of the Insatiable American Appetite". Here is a link to the interview synopsis, where you'll also find a link to listen to the interview in its entirety. The bottom line: he believes that excess…
  • I'm joining in here awfully late, I know. I've been doing the shred for about 1.5 weeks, skipping a day here and there but mostly sticking with it. Level 1 was killing me at first, but it's getting easier all the time. The first circuit is the worst for me! The latter 2 I'm OK with (go figure). I've lost a few pounds and I…
  • Congratulations! Awesome progress :flowerforyou: You should treat yourself...massage, shopping trip, something!
