  • I have a Pitador half labrador half Pit Bull!
  • CONGRATULATIONS YOU DID IT!
  • I go a couple of weeks without losing then finally a pund or two. I was discouraged but I realized when I figure how many days I've been doing this, divided by 7 and my wieght lose is in fact a pound a week. Of course I can't weigh in on days I eat out. The salt causes immediate water retension.
  • I haven't had a lot time to actually get on the treadmill. But I've been more active. Shopping for a few hours has to count. Those warehouse stores are big and between that and grocery shopping where I'm pushing heavy carts I believe I'm gettng my walking in. I began to take steps instead of elevators. I park in back of…

  • I am trying to eat every three hours. For breakfast it is almost always eggs. I like the protein as it makes me less hungry later. Snacks are fruit and granola based trail mix (very low salt). I pack it in serving size baggies so I can munch at will. My family is constantly eating at different times making me want whatever…
  • My goal is to get back on treadmill on regular basis. I want to go upstairs when I go to bathroom instead of the one next o kitchen. I am trying to park in the back of lots instead of handicapped spots. I think I'll also try setting a timer to remember to eat.
  • I was in St Pete Fla for a wedding and had same problem. We had lots of water though. Hit a mini mart and bought a case. Unfortunately I had problems with the salt in the food also. Happens whenever I eat out.. 4 days of it does a number on my body. I swell so much it's painful! I have been home 6 days and my rings are…
  • I just got back from Florida. We went there for a wedding. I swam, went parasailing, and I mostly walked everywhere. It was hard to figure out my exercise count because I wasn't on the treadmill and I wasn't keeping track of how much time it took to get everywhere. I had a lot of errands to run for the wedding and it was…
  • Congratulations to everyone. You are all doing so well!
  • You are the one that inspires me. You did 5k in pool and I'm just proud of myself for not parking in the handicapped spaces. I parked in the back rows this week. I just keep thinking if she can do all that ..... I have not used my wheelchair in about 4 yrs. I feel better but After years of low physical activity it's hard…
  • We I was first dianosed I had to cut down severly on my activities.(I was told I was 80% disabled) I spent years thinking how do I do this more energy efficient? Now 25 years later, I am feeling better (no not cured just a better) I am able to do more but after years of not doing it's hard to get up and go. I need to…
  • Debra, I read both your blogs about not eating enough and water. I always knew water was important but I never knew water affected the metabolism. I usually drink a couple of bottles a day and iced tea the other times. After reading your blog it’s now water, water, water. Today I had already drunk 6 cups by 3PM! Keep those…
  • Tisa, My daughters are constantly harassing me about my granny panties. I'd love to loose the weight and get rid of them!
  • I suppose the mantra I've always used reguarding my Lupus applies "Control it or it will control you"
  • This was my horoscope for today. The universe seems to be with us on this challenge. Being among people you respect will provide you with the positive reinforcement you're seeking right now. Your life is definitely on the right track, and you need to fully appreciate that fact. So attending a family gathering, volunteering…

I have lupus and I sufferered from and beat depression. My daughter and I both have gained weight due to meds. And we both understand the frustration. I went from a 3 to 14 in 4…
  • I am 50 years old, married, with 2 grown daughters, two dogs, and a cat. I have lupus and the pain and fatigue hampers my ability to exercise. I'll be fine one day and then my knee, hip, or foot will begin to hurt too much and I'm back on the couch recuperating. It's very frustrating. Before I was diagnosed, I was an…
