I agree, Pick ONE and stick with that for your weigh ins. Don't go back and forth because you will get frustrated. And measurements are a much better way to look at things. I suggest taking them monthly, along with progress pictures monthly (or weekly) so you can physically SEE the difference. At the end of the day, it's…

SW: 210.2 (1/1/12) CW: 158.0 (7/9/14) GW: FIT, HEALTHY, STRONG! I've come to realize that I don't have a goal weight, as in a number. I would like to weigh 145, but I still have a lot of stomach fat to lose and I don't think getting to that number is going to make it magically disappear. My GOAL is to start lifting more…

Your Jello recipe sounds absolutely delicious! I will have to try that, maybe even this weekend for a healthy 4th of July bbq dessert :-) I myself like to pre-log my foods for the day (usually the night before while I make my lunch for work) so I can see how many calories I'll be taking in throughout the day. Then I go by…

Hi there. I am also growing my home gym as I can't afford a gym membership. My equipment: Elliptical Barbell with 5 lb. plates (4 plates = 20 lbs. plus the 11 lb. bar) Dumbbells Resistance band Kettle bell set (5, 10, 15 lbs.) Boxing gloves/Punching bag Weighted jump rope DVDs: I have so many different workout DVDs.…

I'm no runner by any means, but I do jog early in the mornings and somewhat enjoy it. Tuesday through friday i get up at 6:55 and go for a 30 minute jog. I feel by Saturday my legs are definitely ready for a rest. That being said, jogging isnt my only means of exercise. Sunday is my only true rest day with no exercise,…

I find I binge most at night after dinner. For whatever reason, I just start eating everything in sight. Particularly when my boyfriend is in the shower because I don't want him to see me stuffing my face :-\ It can never be just one bite for me, it's the whole thing. Day 3 binge free :-)

Second time posting!! I am committed this time around. I'm not on a computer, just my phone so I can't post a picture. My profile picture was taken two or so weeks ago post workout so I'm a sweaty mess, but I love how I am all smiles! I feel like my neck looks very slim in that picture! And this morning I had to put a new…

I used the nutrition book that came in my package and I calculated it out to 1745 calories/day. But I also calculated my TDEE - 20% and it came out to 1708 calories/day. I ha e my MFP set to 1708 and try to keep it right around there. Listen to your body though, if you're feeling hungrier then eat more food just make sure…

I took the weekend off. I need to switch up one of my days for 55 ez, but I find it so hard to power through such a long workout. What gets you guys through that Dvd? I did hiit 15 and sculpt 30 today, that hiit is no joke!

Day 1 - Why I'm doing this? For as long as I can remember, back into my childhood, I've always felt this urge to just eat everything in sight, even when I'm jot hungry. It's so frustrating! I'm now almost a year and a half into my weightloss journey and I've come so far, but my binging is still something I have been unable…

Lately I've been having two hard boiled eggs with 5 spears of asparagus. Fills me up and has very little sugar which is something I'm really trying to cut back on!
-
I wouldn't log it as it's something you do regardless of whether you're counting calories or not. This should be included in your activity level when you enter it on MFP. It takes into consideration how many calories you burn on a day to day basis, PLUS what you burn when working out. Thats how I see it, anyways. Good luck.

Hi all! Just joined this group, I'm on day 5 tomorrow. Ive had the program since October, but ive only ever got about a month in. Sticking with it this time. Feel free to add me, I could use the encouragement!

I defintely don't want to cut out all sugars, I just want to try to stay closer to the MFP guideline. I hate seeing the red numbers when I go over. For starters, I've picked up some beginner items. I love almonds (I buy raw, unsalted ones), I grabbed the mini Babybel light cheese wedges (delicious little snacks),…

My polar watch just took a crap (only got it in December) and I've been worrying about not knowing how many calories I'm burning. But as I long as I watch what I eat and still get in some form of exerise I should be just fine in continuing to lose weight. I admit, I don't really trust the calories burned estimates offered…

Omg I'm having the exact same issue with mine!!! I got a new battery and its still doing it. Soooo frustrating, I don't know what to dobl at this point.
-
Hmmm I will look into that. Not sure if I could cut out meat, but sounds interesting. Thanks!

Not trying to be negative, but you're getting great responses and shooting them all down. Sounds like a lot of excuses. If you put it in your head that you cant do something, Then you're right, you cant do it. Keep on jumping rope, as long as you're moving.

I do most of the shopping for myself and my boyfriend and I choose only healthy options. When he goes with me or goes alone he always picks out his treats that I won't buy. When I go alone though I always think it's funny to see what single men have in their carts. Total junk food junkies!! Lol, but I used to be that way…

I suggest downloading C25K on your phone. It's a 8 or 9 (I don't remember exactly) program that starts you from being a couch potato and not running at all to running a 5k (3.1 miles) in 30 minutes. I'm on week 5 and am up to running 3/4 of a mile (8 mins) straight. I did not enjoy running when I started, but I now really…

I've never ate 1200 calories!! When I started it set me up around 1700 (I think) and then as I kept losing weight it would keep lowering my calorie count for the day. Finally I got to 1450 or so and I was always binging because it just wasn't enough food! I found IPOARM (TDEE explained and such) and calculated my calories…

I'm starting week 5 tomorrow and I'm scared also!! But I am signing up for a 5k race on May 18th so I've got just enough time to finish the program and be ready to go! Just have no fear!

I shout it to the roof tops and tell complete strangers about my progress. I am so proud of myself, why not?!

I'm 5'7" and last time I checked around 153. Still have lots of belly fat to lose/lower my BF%. Feel free to add.

Tomorrow will be Week 4 Day 2 for me. Never in a million years did I think I'd be able to run for 5 straight minutes. I'm really enjoying the program so far which is amazing to me as I've always hated running. Feel free to add if you'd like extra motivation/encouragment.

I like almonds just because they're mild, but still have a sweet taste. I'm on a pistachio kick righ now. They were on sale at CVS a few days ago and I bought two big bags. Only 170 kcals for 1/4 cup which is the perfect size for a snack.

I'm 21 and always looking for new friends here. Any extra support is greatly appreciated as this is a very rough journey.

I don't have pains like yours, however sometimes my feet will go numb during my runs (I run outside on the roads/sidewalks). I'm hoping to save up and be able to go get fitted for running shoes, but at the moment it's not possible. I feel your pain though. I am new to running and am starting to like it more than I thought…

I'm going to do more research on this tonight, but what is the "primal"? I know the paleo (no dairy/grains etc) but what is the difference? I gather from some of your posts it's just not as strict as paleo??
