  • I don't do Karate for weight loss but I am a red/black belt in Taekwondo so almost a black belt. i've been doing it for almost 5 years. I hope to take my black belt grading in October 2016.
  • Ok, thank you!
  • I've got kitchen scales because I do a lot of baking for people. Foam roller might be good. Thought I'd give you some of my hobbies: Gym Taekwondo Walking
  • Wow thank you, looks really good.
  • I've had a chunk of carrot that was left over from the dinner prep. But at least I have a good reason for the hubby to cook tonight. Thank you for answering, I thought people would ignore this post and I felt really awkward
  • Ha ha when me and my husband are driving around the neighbourhood, we randomly roll down the windows and yell "EGGS" at passers by. It's our fun

  • I've never heard of this IRL, but I think I remember an episode of The Big Bang Theory where they drink hot drinks with a stick of butter in to prepare for a trip to the north pole. Also another thing I didn't know of IRL is deep fried mars bars, I thought they were a myth until the fish and chip shop in the village…
  • Is the paliperidone working for you? I tried it for 6 months but it didn't really help me enough to justify the side effects. If it's not working how you need it to, maybe ask your doctor if there's an alternative?
  • I've been on zoloft before. I didn't really gain much on it, it wasn't until I tried the clozapine/mirtazapine concoction that things really got out of hand. Sometimes when I'm struggling, for instance if I crave something unhealthy, I have to tell myself over and over that it's the meds talking. Anyone have any other good…
  • I take clozapine (which according to the leaflet in the pack lists "profound weight gain" as a common side effect). I'll add you, hopefully we can support each other allie x
  • At one point I got down to a uk size 8 at 70kg, most people guess my weight much lower than it actually is so I understand where you're coming from
  • Thank you :) I think that I'm a long way off record setting pace! If I remember correctly, when I started c25k the first time, I could actually walk faster than I could run!
  • Oh sorry, I should have mentioned my issues about it - doh! I'm worried that I might hurt myself because I weigh 275 lbs, I don't know if it would be bad on my joints after a break. Sorry if my question sounds a bit stupid
  • I know what you mean, I take clozapine and the side effects say "profound weight gain" as a common effect. I've gained over 100lbs in 2 years now trying to get on top of it.
  • 0% fat greek yoghurt muesli (ok not that healthy sugar wise but in moderation)
  • mine is that the medication that I have to take and will be on for the rest of my life is notorious for weight gain and increased appetite
  • Hi, I'm exactly the same... 24, married in April... I'll add you
  • Well done on your progress and also for your new belt!
  • I train Taekwondo too. Which organisation do you train under? I train under TAGB/TKDI and I'm a red belt 2nd kup.
  • I'm the opposite to most, I had a gym membership but never felt able to use it. Me and the husband built a basic gym in our garage and I feel more motivated to use it
  • I mix mine with vanilla and it tastes like cheesecake. Yummy!
  • I get that when I log. It's almost like subconsciously (sp?) I'm more aware of what and how much of it I am putting in my body. And as for the kids situation, I can't vouch for it but I have a vacuum cleaner for a husband. Half the time I don't notice he's got donuts or pastries until I see the wrappers in the bin. He's…
  • Wow thank you everyone for your words of support! I find it has really helped me get in the right head space because all I hear about psych meds is 'weight gain, weight gain and weight gain' No one on my care team has mentioned that it is actually possible to LOSE weight on medication so to hear that others have/are in the…
