  • I have two of the New Balance Bonita Run Crop Bras and they double strap you in as well: http://www.shopnewbalance.com/women/apparel/sports-bras/high-impact/WBT8308 But makes for a bit of a Houdini routine when you need to get out of them later after a good sweat.
  • Awesome! I found a whole new world out there when I started to eat healthier. Things didn't need to be smothered in fat or sugar to taste good!
  • My favorites: - Dried Seaweed snacks (1 calorie per sheet) - Tomato Salsa with celery (like a Cesar but no alcohol)
  • I'd try for more raw veggies thank steamed ones. Sandwiches might be so Etching your body is used to. Try to mix it up a bit.
  • I agree, looks like you need some complex carbohydrates, not just the "bread" type. More grains, beans, less processed stuff. Fruit possibly? Fresh fruit and veg and some nuts/seeds for protein and energy. Try less poweraide and go for something else sweet to drink or replace your electrolytes. You also might have an…
  • Thanks FightGirl! I've sent the link on to my husband as well. I too have a pretty weak back, and that makes core exercises hard, but I'm noticing a difference doing planks, twists, side planks, "dead bug" and double crunches.
  • There seems to be a theme here: - High Sugar (icing sugar, ketchup, jelly) - High Fat (Butter, peanut butter) - Simple carbs (white bread, pasta) - Salt (pickles, straight salt) As kids, it's interesting that we all were pretty basic in our wants/needs. Sad that it gets all complicated now with getting unhealthy. Thanks…
  • What would this particular type of food sound like??
  • Since becoming a vegetarian 3 years ago, I've found a whole new world of options. When I went to Belize a month ago, one restaurant even had a specific menu just for us. I thank everyone before me to request the changes, be aware of what a vegetarian prefers and having the guts to experiment with flavours! Weekend went…
  • I am getting strangely hungry reading all these.
  • You must have the immune system of an ox!
  • All of these habits reminded me of eating kook-aid out of those little packets (no sugar in them) and drinking straight lime juice concentrate. No wonder I have a stomach hernia! Oh about those little creamers, I would shake and shake them to try and make butter. Didn't work.
  • What do you think of Vegemite or Marmite? I like mine with avocado and Vegemite. yum.
  • My faves are the sour ones: Pineapple, Sunkist Lime and Lemon Lime. Check out the list of flavours here! http://www.jellybelly.com/fun_stuff/official_50_flavors_flavor_guide.aspx
  • Just a thought though, if your body is craving sugar, possibly you are needing something? Especially since you just gave birth and if you're breast feeding, I don't think it's bad to have natural sugars to fill up your depleted resources.
  • I swell up all the time from retaining water because of the amount of salt I would eat. I think once I start watching the sodium and the water intake, it balances out.
  • Maybe it's re-hydrating all your vital organs or something. Making your body work more efficiently?
  • I am looking forward to things evening out! I do feel thristy when I drink, just hate that I seem to just pee it all out. It's only been a week so I've got a few more weeks to go to even it all out.
  • ha ha. Ya, the pee is clear! Should I stop trying to drink so much? I do take my vitamins and try to replace the electrolytes after a heavy workout/sweat.
  • It's interesting to watch Fat Head which is in response to Supersize me....
  • My girlfriend said she learned from weight watchers that we should only be eating about 1/2 of your exercise earned calories. That would make it easier to get in the calories after the workout.
  • I've often wondered about the sleeping after a meal thing or the carbs later at night. Didn't make a bunch of sense to me, but maybe it's because you're more likely to over-eat the carbs at that time of night? I don't like to eat a bunch before a work out as I find I get cramps or I feel sick to my stomach. I do find that…
  • Just a quick look here; I'm finding that many of your food choices, although low in calories, are lacking in nutritional "bulk". Your body might not know what to do with the building blocks you're giving it (buttery spread, overly processed white flour items) and so it will affect how your body works. I would suggest you…
  • I remember brining my parents to a vegetarian restaurant here in town and my mom got all mad saying I was pushing my beliefs of vegetarianism on them by bringing them to the restaurant. Made me really shocked how defensive people can get about their food when what they've done for all their life is questioned. So, that…
  • Yup, same thing with some Chinese restaurants. I had one place tell me their hot and sour soup was vegetarian because it had no meat and I said, do you use Chicken stock for it, and they said, "yes." Boo.
  • Frozen Raspberries are also awesome! I wouldn't be afraid to try freezing fruit, just to see what happens. You never know, you may find it's better than cool whip! I've had frozen cool whip before but I don't crave it much any more. The real stuff (cream) tastes better...obviously and I know I can't have any of it in the…
  • Excellent suggestions! Thank you! I didn't think about the poached egg being lower in calories, but you're right, they usually add milk to scrambled eggs and although I love fried eggs, they're in oil. The Edamame is a great suggestion as well, just Olive oil and salt and bean!
  • Sorry about that Cloudbustr. :) I'm Albertan too but now call Victoria home. My parents are here with friends that don't like experimenting. We went to Romeos tonight and I ate a Mediterranean salad. No dressing.
  • Oh! Good idea about the red robins. Still mainstream enough for the Albertans but options for me! Just gotta watch the fries temptation.
  • That's awesome!!! What great motivation to stay on track and keep it up. Good job! Looking forward to not looking like I've been beat with nickles.
