BCAAs are in all proteins.

Branched chain amino acids. They help your muscles retain themselves when you restrict/fast. They're sorta like incomplete protein. L-leucine etc. They taste terrible by themselves but much more cost effective to get plain BCAA powder and mix with pre workout mix or something tasty to cover the bitter taste.

My BCAA's are straight BCAA's with nothing else. The pre workout I've used in my cupboard says it has 0 anything. Does have sucralose but wouldn't be the only sweetener I've used thus far

So yes you're right about net carbs but instead of 1 net carb it could be more like 5. dunno how you really can accurately calculate stuff like that

I think Maltitol should count for more carbs than the other sugar alcohols, I've heard/read about it not being the same as the others and having more carbs.

I'm sorta doing some IF, just drinking liquids until I feel like I really gotta eat - it's been around 4 or 5 pm the last couple days. I'd say workout if you have the energy otherwise do light walking? If you're keto adapted then supposedly you should have the energy to workout.

So you guys who count total carbs only eat up to 20 g total carbs? That really sucks. I guess I hit 30-40 total carbs when I get around 20 g net carbs.

I would think you wouldn't want to/need to consume entire daily allotment at that time. I don't think I'd do that, just a decent big meal and whatever you need to ensure you get all the nutrition for the day you need

I've been kinda wired at night the first few days of my keto diet. But have allowed myself to sleep later than ideal partly to give my body a break from all the changes and get enough rest, but also because I haven't wanted to go to sleep at night until late sometimes. Think it is kinda balancing back out a bit more now…

I think I have awake carbmares where I just have intense carb fantasies/daydreams at night before I go to bed. I've had one dream where my girlfriend just wanted to eat carbs and I was mad at her for it but ate some with her anyway. Think that's the only related dream I've had so far that I remember
