If that 5'7" guy I posted can do it after working on it for 6 months, I bet more people around that height can. It just might take a super long time.

If you could grab the rim, why would need that many more inches to dunk?
-
Any idea what program or type of program you were doing?
-
Yeah you're right, I wasn't thinking when I said plenty. I guess I just meant there are enough examples to be optimistic. I did find this video of a teen at 5'7" - yes he is male though. It took him 6 months. He tracked his progress and shared it. http://youtu.be/hGvyEg4_v30

Also, this is assuming the goal is at its regular height, which is...10 feet?

The cals just seem low to me. You're not doing no carb just low carb. The issue looks like you're simply not eating enough. Try some smoothies or shakes.

Great info; thanks everybody. Has anyone noticed improvements related to weight training for pecs? Like, if you increase the weight and reps you can do for bench press, has that helped with doing more push-ups? I read someone on a different thread who said strength gains in the gym don't automatically translate to…

If you're not fasting or anything, adding it to your fav juice or protein shake should cover it up well. It's bitter I guess, it's just very strong. Don't think anyone would ever say it tastes good or even ok. But yeah a lot of things will cover the taste. The flavored ones taste good but they are more expensive so I buy…

They're very gross. I've downed then maybe twice with just water but was def gagging. It's probably worth the artificial sweetener in this case. I mix with a pre-workout powder.

I've read that thread and don't believe it addresses the sodium question, unless someone got to it later in the thread, I have also been trying to figure out what's up with sodium and water retention/belly weight loss.

I'm in Texas. Rick Perry is an A-hole. They can only discriminate legally for so long though cause the tide is turning quickly :)

I do both, I have one general leg day - 1 week I do squats, the next time I do leg day I will do lunges instead. They're both difficult but probably lunges I would classify as killer at the end. I do them with dumbbells in hands. Typically follow squats or lunges set with leg curl machine or use yoga ball for hamstring…

Maybe we should talk about what all the LGBTQ folk are doing diet/fitness wise. Today I'm starting a low carb regimen in addition to fasted cardio/working out that I've been doing the last 2 weeks. I want to lose about 5 lbs basically as a detox, then bulk to build muscle as I'm skinny except for the few lbs on my belly…

Can't y'all just be normal?
-
Lots of people count calories. Probably not as many people as young as you are. Your boyfriend sounds like a food snob...maybe you do too? I feel like your bf's behavior is abnormal and yours is by being anxious and not letting loose a little more often. But then again you do allow yourself a couple meals a month to do…
-
I think multiple people are also wondering why the boyfriend can't be normal and eat a lot of meals at home like "normal" people. Not being able to take leftovers home seems abnormal. Not going grocery shopping seems abnormal. So...what about him too?

I added that the diet pills are working so what's the point of tearing them down... ... .....

Very informative comment. She just said the pills are working for her, everybody. I know it's a shocker! Diet pills, ack!
-
It's not anyone's business to tell OP whether or not she should take any pills her doctor recommended. It has nothing to do with why she posted - she wanted your opinion on whether or not she was eating enough. For some reason the anti-diet pill trolls come out in full swing when someone barely mentions diet pills - diet…

When I do that I feel like how I look in my profile pic lol

I read somewhere to go to the gym even if you don't plan to work out. With your workout clothes on. Once you're there you'll probably workout. To be honest, I think my second suggestion will really work although it sounds like you already got some motivation since you posted. Buy a pre-workout powder or caffeine pills and…

I definitely think the fitness part sucks. I just log a low estimate of the cals I may have burned working out...Even if I do HIIT I don't bother trying to figure out how to put that in, I just always use the same "5.2 miles, running" category and type in a # lower than what the treadmill says (plus I do weight work). In…

I'm doing counter push-ups. Moving down to knee push-ups after I can do 5 sets of 20 counter push-ups. It's part of Scooby's push-up program.

128 pounds in 2 weeks?! Is that possible?
-
Just so you know you're not alone, I've been cutting my calories for at least the last 3 weeks, ramped up the cardio including fasted cardio, and I'm not sure that I've lost any weight yet. Not surprised if it's gotta do with water retention or fluctuations...give it some time, if you don't see results after awhile you may…

Right but 4000 calories...that's a lot of food. As in snacks, shakes, big meals and...I don't know how I'd fit that much food in if my access to food wasn't unlimited
-
I agree with this. People are telling you to do less cardio...I don't think you need to. 5 or 6 days a week sounds fine. I would just limit the weight lifting to 3 to 4 days and not use the same major muscle groups within 3 days of each other so they have time to rest. For your goals doing cardio before or after lifting is…

so...by THAT logic, eating cows to extinction would therefore save the earth, wouldn't it? [/quote] No, because humans mass produce them at an ungodly rate on purpose...factory farming...

How do you have access to that many calories every day if you are deployed (sorry if that's an ignorant question)?
