oh well "yolo" *swig*

oh wow your reading comprehension is so, so off. it's embarrassing it has been said MULTIPLE TIMES throughout this entire saga that NO ONE is saying a woman MUST PAY. all anyone is saying is that it is ridiculous to ASSUME that the man MUST PAY. if a man insists on paying, great. cute. what people are rebelling against is…

So proud of my birth country! I was going to mention this earlier. Canada recognizes that the normative gender roles in homemaking are entirely ridiculous in this day and age and arranges mat leave to reflect that fact. Great, great country.

thank you oh my ****ing god

if you don't see how our civil right to have a job and earn our own money is directly related to how a man's "duty" to pay for his date is outdated, i honestly feel sorry for you.
-
lol good to know you don't value your equal civil rights and would trade them in for the patriarchal treatment of women that you find so shallowly validating thanks tips have fun with that not to mention that i never once said that a woman must pay, or did i "push my lame life standards on others". i simply said that a…

oh my god THANK YOU

Really? Okay, please explain to me the purpose of my equal rights and treatment and then please explain to me why it is okay for me to place expectations on men simply because they are men when I do not want any expectations placed on me simply because I am a woman. Oh, honey. Don't flatter yourself. All of us have had men…

Those demographics are part of the patriarchal norms of society that feminism combats... By saying what you posted above, you assumed that it is a woman's job to be home with the kids and NOT to have a career.
-
I think... you are... very confused. This debate is not about America vs. Europe, it is about how rude, presumptuous, and mean it is for a woman to expect a man to pay for her and then turn around and shame him when he doesn't. I don't know why you're making this about America, considering nothing I've said has in any way…

I bring this to my long days at uni: 6 pieces of turkey bacon, 1.5 cups whole grain brown rice with 1/4 cup steamed veggies and 1/4 cup spinach, 1/2 cup broccoli, and 2 tablespoons of hummus.

The point is that it is disgusting to shame and ridicule a guy for not paying for literally everything during the course of a date. If you want to be spoiled, fine, but it's your responsibility to explain that to him... and not your right to expect it of him.
-
please explain to me how any of that has to do with expecting a guy to pay for everything the fact that your job is protected by law speaks more to the necessity for women to start growing up and realizing they can pull their own weight than anything else, so i don't know what your point was here. this thread literally…

i've managed to do away with a lot of cravings since i found out i can't tolerate dairy or gluten i still have a soft spot for soy ice cream, though, so i let myself have a full tub over the course of every weekend :3

I'm of the opinion that it's totally ridiculous to expect a guy to pay for everything. If we as women want equal treatment in society, then we also need to let go of the chivalry we expect of men otherwise it's a bit hypocritical.

croquettes are a great way to use canned salmon!!! i personally love the taste of it plain, to be honest

My goal is 115! Obviously I could go lower, but I prefer a little meat on the bones.

I totally get this sentiment, I do. But here's some tough love - at a certain point, you have to stop letting yourself follow your mother's suit. YOU are responsible for your weight loss. She clearly has very different needs to you, considering the discrepancies in how much weight each of you are carrying, so it's actually…

I love the their frozen Asian-style veggies that come with a stirfry marinade. For a treat, I like to pick up their Soy Creamy Cherry Chocolate Chip Frozen Dessert.

Wait to get it pierced until you've reached your goal and will feel comfortable taking two weeks off from vigorous exercise.

I've gone down to once a month. I think how often you weigh yourself should depend on how much left you have to lose. If you're down to the last ten pounds, weighing yourself every week generally isn't going to be that exciting because your body simply does not let go of fat that easily once you're in your healthy range.
