I also am not an expert, however, based on what I read, in order to be burning fat, you should be between 65-85% of your heart rate. At least that is what they say when I google the topic. As long as you are in that % you theoretically should be burning mostly fat calories. at 155 heart rate, you are at 88% of your total…

Once a month, on the last day of the month, I do not count calories at all. That being said, I will have little treats throughout the week, I believe that deprivation will always lead to giving up.. If once a week free days helps you, and you are really good the other days.. go for it. BUT don't go TOO crazy. :P

Hmm.. I havent had any problems with Smart Balance and baking yet, idk... I have heard that replacing your sugar with applesauce (still sugar and sweet but slightly less offensive I guess--) or honey (same story) could be good replacements but Idk. Or I guess just using half the sugar would even help!
