  • These recipes are from 2013, this sounds like something that was all the rage then! It's still low calorie recipes, but I still wouldn't call that apple pie!
  • You don't have to count calories to lose weight, you just have to be in the calorie deficit. Every person that loses weight, is in a calorie deficit whether they are counting them or not, so when you stopped counting calories after 6 weeks or whatever it was, you were still in a deficit even though you didn't have numbers…
  • Just an FYI this is not a non-plant based vegan diet. They use animal lard in them.
  • You do realize, that you are the one that used the term plant based vegan, and said they should eat meat and eggs right?
  • So what you are saying is that you don't know what a vegan is. That is really the only useful information I got from that. Because even though you quote a book, you still said that people here tell "plant based vegans" (opposed to what other kind) that eating eggs, steak, grilled chicken, and fish will kill them.
  • But that information is there in the sticky posts.
  • If they're made with Aspartame then no... If they have no added sugar definitely...
  • MFP could put all the helpful information out there right in your face, and the people who ask the same questions over and over still aren't going to read it, and are still going to ask "how to lose belly fat", and "why aren't I losing weight after 2 days". These people get all of the useful information in the threads, and…
  • When you went to treatment, did they just suggest you use different forms of what you are addicted to, to help you out? If it was alcohol, did they say hey you're addicted to Jack Daniels, just have a couple beers instead, and you'll kick that habit? If it was drugs, did they say hey, enough with the heroin, just switch to…
  • You do realize the whole cupcake will kill you thing, is a joke right? It's an exaggeration of people's thoughts on certain types of food.
  • I feel like the people that excel with more calories actually start accurately logging their calories. They think they are upping their calories, and were guestimating their calories when they thought they were eating 1200. Most likely they weren't logging correctly, and now that they are, they are losing weight.
  • Right, that's the whole point. Not everyone's diet is the same, so telling people to not eat a cupcake, and only eat fruit doesn't work because you don't have the context of their diet. Not saying that is what you are doing, but you are close to doing that.
  • How long have you been doing as much exercise as you are doing? When I finally started going back to the gym after my wife had our baby, the first two weeks, I held on to water like crazy, and either stayed the same or went up, and then it all came off! Now it's back to normal, where I will gain weight Monday - Wednesday…
  • That's not the debate, that's what you are trying to turn it in to. You said "But from a nutritional standpoint, consuming that sugar from fruits versus a cupcake is more beneficial" From a nutritional stand point the sugar consumed from fruits versus a cupcake is pretty much the same once it is broken down. You are…
  • This one never make sense to me, the calories are pretty much the same as potato chips, and the ingredients, are potatoes, potato flower, corn starch, tomato paste, and spinach powder. So basically potatoes processed to be in straw form, instead of chip form. They aren't filling a chip void at all, the are just a different…
  • There would probably be a lot of dead diabetics if this were true...
  • Honestly, if you're logging is spot on, most likely it's just water weight from all of the sodium in the soup, I would just keep what your doing, and wait it out, it will straighten it's self out. Like people of have said weight loss isn't linear. I lost 4lbs last week, and have stayed the same so far this week, with…
  • Are the zombies chasing you? If so, then I would at least job, if not, start out walking and add the jogging in, until you get to the point you can jog them all once the zombies start chasing you.
  • Honestly, anything that puts you in a calorie deficit if you aren't already in one from your diet. Your body is unfortunately going to decided where the fat comes off of first. Doing a specific exercise is only going to build or preserve the muscle you already have in a certain area, but do nothing for the fat on top of…
  • You do realize that you working out hard is just how you choose to create that calorie deficit right? The end answer is still, a calorie deficit is what you need to lose weight.
  • My wife and I only eat one meal together because of work and all of that nonsense, so for dinner I just have a larger serving. Same thing for our nightly snack, I just have larger servings since we generally like the same thing. Are you guys eating every single meal and snack together where this is actually a problem?
  • I find it really easy to match up my entries with the food I'm eating, it's pretty easy to weed through the bad ones, and if you can't find one that matches make your own.
  • I feel like if people like Halo Top, the either haven't had real ice cream in a while, or don't like real ice cream. This stuff is an abomination of ice cream, and the only one that I've tried that tasted ok was the chocolate peanut butter, but still didn't taste like ice cream.
  • Awesome work! How hard did you try to shake it loose? I would just shake harder!
  • I'm not sure how starving yourself is going to help you kick the junk food diet you are on. Logic would tell us it would just be easier to not buy the junk food. I mean what makes a cleanse so magical that it keeps you from eating a bag of chips? Especially since you know a cleanse does nothing for your body except to make…
  • I'm loose enough with the free app. No back up here.
  • Have you tried taking a cold shower to help cool your body down? I find that helps me.

  • So are you actually staying under your calorie goal every day? Are you sure you are tracking your calories correctly? How long have you been doing the diet for? 21lbs is a really good start, and I'm sure a lot of that up front was water weight, so it might seem like your weight loss is slowing down because you are getting…
