sugar free jam, mustard, ketchup/relish sometimes, water.

exactly!! thanks so much for this - I intend to do exactly this next time, sans booze, and actually keep it leveled at my TDEE or not much more. no reason I can't be happy w/ 1 slice of pizza as a cheat really, and 1 donut or other sweet, and 1 appetizer...instead of the double doubles I did (no doubt due to lowered…

I'm not fond of it, and I really HATE the smell of seafood...but not nausea . I wish there were free zones but I guess the reality is they are the overwhelming majority, and if I can get thru a meal without someone saying...."wow, your a veg? what do you eat?"...or "wow - to bad your a veg, you can't eat this delish food"…

tiger balm is the bomb

no calories = have a party!

also- have a big salad at lunch and base your dinner on a big bowl of steamed veggies (broccoli is the fan fav around these parts).
-
blend up veg/fruit in a shake - it'll be easier to get alot down that way (particularly if you don't like them). just hold your nose and chug away.

veggie is easy but for protein. every meal can consist of the following (and, monotony breeds success imho, cuz thinking doesn't screw you up): Combine the following in each meal: (1) non-starchy vegetable (like broccoli, cauliflower, squash, spinach, mexed veg salad, whatever, cold or hot).... fill 1/2 the plate w/ this.…

completely random I'm afraid - at least that is what I've found (going thru one myself too). It is utterly demoralizing at times - makes me want to give up and drown my sorrow w/ donuts and ice cream......but then, if I give up I suppose I will never lose weight so I, sadly, patience and persistence is likely the only…

i don't understand....are we saying that regular milk you buy in the store has added sugar in it but doesn't list it on the ingredients? wha?
-
its definitely not rude. the person asking isn't invested emotionally the way you are in the question. they are simple asking you out of hand (the way you might ask how old are you on a birthday, or what did you shoot at the golf course). at most its in appreciation - definitely not in judgement.

because people don't care about what you care about. even family members, who may intimately know how much something means to you, don't really get it all the time - they think one little slip here and there isn't a big deal, and sure it isn't, but we know that one slip kinda puts the whole house of cards in jeopardy.

looking and feeling like a million bucks is a great b-day gift. thanks for the inspiration!

I'd love to join the early club but then you have to goto bad by 10pm latest.

fantastic effort!

mexican restaurants are the easiest to eat clean. order some lean grilled meat, a side of veggies and beans. can't get much cleaner. have some gauc also, just skip the rice, chips and cheese/sour cream. no desert (unless they have fruit). and no Margarita (also one tequila w/ soda is fine!!).

tv doesn't need much - just add a $59 roku box and a dvd player (for your p90x). otherwise, if you stream from your PC, I think apple tv might work better.

45 so far - still don't feel it (others say its dramatic - and I say thank you, but feel inside that they are making fun of me). screwed up right? I think for most the overall shape stays the same all the way down (except at the very big and small ends of the journey). stay strong. the hard numbers don't lie.

well - if you are seriously at your wits end - not eating works like a charm - just not recommended.
-
^ this is basically all you need to tell him. throw in the kids as motivation too - usually a man needs no more.
-
90% of it is what you eat. just find something simple that works for you. it may be hard to manage a strict diet when you are giving the kids other things like treats, but you'll succeed even w/o exercise if you eat something consistently that allows you to not think too much. bkfst can be oatmeal, lunch dinner can be…

go for it. I wonder if its possible to eat zero sugar for a while?
-
I saw this too (thru the NY times) - made me really angry, particularly the pre-bagged vegan sandwiches which list 244 calories, but is 548 calories. jail time, all I can say.

fair enough. I too feel that spending extra dollars for custom shoes is over-rated for the vast majority of people (particularly people who are likely only walking in them or doing light jogging). But yes, as general advice, I can't guarantee these (or frankly any shoes you buy) are medically sound. $12 walmart sounds…

I agree - but sometimes doesn't it feel like a lot of work? Isn't it possible to like someone and not be in their face all the time?
-
i would bathe with it if I could.
-
yes. eat 1 slice of pizza for breakfast lunch and dinner, and don't eat anything else. that's three slices total for the day (=900 calories or so). continue for a week, and you'll lose some weight for sure (in addition to perhaps other issues developing).
-
don't usually comment on such issues, but I must say this (as a guy). If you have been going out a long time, he may just have personal stuff he's busy with - I think its healthy for people to be at ease and not have to do face time all the time. Otherwise, he may just not be into the relationship anymore (for any number…

firmly disagree w/ the "No".

walmart - starter pro brand - $12. work good. if you want "fancier" - try "Joe's New Balance Outlet" online - I got a nice $20 pair there (like these: http://www.joesnewbalanceoutlet.com/detail.asp?style=M700XOS)
