amazing progress (and so short a time too)!!! great!!

everyone will judge you. just like you judge others. but who cares? we judge strangers every day when we see them - generally our judgement is "nothing remarkable" - sometimes something will catch our eye - ex pretty, ugly, fat, unhealthy, rich, arrogant, crazy, charismatic. loud, etc..... but even when we do, how long do…

I hear you - "There is just meat everywhere" pretty much covers everyplace I've ever visited or lived (except for maybe India). The west (particularly US/UK) are a little better because of the wide variety in supermarkets, but in restaurants, even here, you are very hard pressed to find even 1 dish on many restaurants.…

incredible journey - thank you!

the thing that bugs me is when people do their set and then just sit at the machine. I am never shy to ask people if I can work in a set (yes, I'm the annoying guy jumping from machine to machine), but I've been in plenty of crowded gyms where there is usually a line for each machine or set of weights, so as far as I know,…

greeat job - can you describe your methods?

love this. sadly the cooking would just add more responsibility to my over-burdened shoulders (belly? lol).....and more importantly, I would be unsure what I was eating exactly stats wise...but sounds like a great option once I'm no longer counting calories!! :)

thanks guys - good thoughts. w/r/t " Get a KG (2lb) of apples" - I think that's only like 3 apples depending how big...but its an interesting thought process for sure!!

ah, low carb/low sugar I can understand - and generally I agree - but then do we really count fruit the same as any other carb/sugar? I have difficulty doing that, and as a life long thing, I know I will be eating plenty of fruit, but am willing to restrict them now if it helps me lose weight as part of an overall…

I'm a vegetarian mostly (I do eat milk products, and eggs). I mostly get my protein intake (which I'm under the impression is supposed to be a lot because I'm trying to weight lift...so I try to keep it above 30% of total calories) from protein shakes.

I am with you. although I have been juicing kale and stuff lately, and despite washing well, it totally messes w/ my system, which I think might be low doses of bacteria that just can't be eliminated w/o cooking....at least that's my current thinking...

i don't do a whole cheat day, but I do do a cheat meal!! I also think its easy to go overboard (so no full box of donuts)....but I think its really important mentally!

on the tipping point myself - can't wait til I'm merely fat (obese sounds so negative right)?

just goes to show the reason why many here are fearful about eating back calories. I weight 220, but 169 cals for 30 min of 3.0mph walking seems alot, no? who bloody knows.

its sometimes funny how people see the weight loss much more than you do yourself - it feels great everytime!! good work!
-
great job - 7 lbs is nothing to feel anything but awesome about!! unexpected splurging w/ friends can be rough - only thing to do is try and minimize damage (so like soup and salad), or steamed veggies and grilled chicken, sauce on the side...you can probably make it pretty healthy...

i was walking to work the other day and passed some tubby guys in fancy suits outside smoking, getting ready to go back to their high powered bond trading at the investment bank (where trader's routinely order things like 50 pizza's and nachos for a group lunch - out of machismo)....and I thought to myself..."who are you…

i totally loved the video (its on netflix and amazon) - although you get everything from the 10min youtube trailer. it totally gets you jazzed about getting healthy. I also liked the idea of juicing for nutrients, and tried it for a couple days but didn't like it. My thoughts are that its just a low calorie diet. The guy…

thanks for the advice guys!! I'll be flexible and give it time, and then tweak it as I need to in order to keep the choo-choo on the track! Last night I did my full body lifting routine again and my legs are not as sore as before...so don't plan on skipping running tonight,.....I guess it will just take some time for…

I am just restarting and want to be very simple (so that I stick with it!) so am just using an old modified menshealth total body workout I once saw - squat, bench, lat pull down (or seated row) in a circuit of 3x10. I will add deadlift and military press, luges and crunches soon. My main observation now, and in the past,…

yeah - love the video - though I don't personally subscribe to the "juice fast" part of it, I have incorporated 1 mean green juice first thing in the morning - feel great

POW POW!!! awesome inspiration for the rest of us dude - thanks!

I am a veg, but I only care about what I eat, not anyone else. One problem I see that is too redolent in society is that, for some reason, pro-meat people seem to want to go out of there way to get in your face about how stupid they think it is to be a veg. i mean they relish disparaging you. I mean, its hard enough trying…

don't listen to the haters...its not a long term option, but if you need it in terms of simplicithy (and like it) then I don't think there's an issue using it short term to get you through....

each night I have a cup of either greek yogurt or CC, with 1/2 cup thawed frozen unsweetened raspberries....it feels almost indulgent (I like the one's trader joe's sells). any frozen fruit (w/o sugar) will do. you could even squirt some honey on there if you like.
