Definitely Kettlebells - I LOVE them! I'm definitely a Tracy Reifkind groupie. I do at least 30 minutes 3-4 times a week. On the other days I do body-weight routines and once a week my husband and I take a pilates class at a nearby studio.

I find I need more protein that most people. Protein keeps me feeling full longer. I drink a lot of water and tea - very important if you're eating a lot of protein.

I read recently that today's pork is much leaner than in the past. I have no problem including pork loin in my diet - check the nutrition label.

Kettlebells will provide you with both cardio and strength. Look into Tracy Reifking - she has awesome videos on youtube. Also her book The Swing is perfect for an absolute beginner. She also has an awesome blog. Just FYI - I use a 12kg (26lb) bell and burn ~400 cal in 30 min!

I just started this week. It was recommended by a holistic medical doctor. He also suggests mixing it with raw honey. I've started using it in my smoothies. I am also trying to get away from artificial sweeteners. I found a liquid, alcohol free stevia that is working really well for me in coffee and ice tea. I make my smoothies with 1/2 frozen banana and frozen mixed fruit plus unsweetened whey protein power.

I order mine from nuts.com. They are a family run business with very reasonable prices. I buy mine in 5 lb bags. BTW - there's no need to buy organic - they cost a little more and chia isn't grown with pesticide since they are naturally resistant to going bad.
