I made oatmeal with cinnamon, raisins, and 1/2 packet of Stevia. Yummy and filling....plus the oatmeal is great for keeping my milk supply up for my nursling :)

My favorite snack right now is my homemade greek style yogurt (1/2 cup) with 1/2 cup of frozen blueberries, 1/2 to 1 packet of Stevia, and 1 T. of flax seed. YUM!!!! I have also eaten it with about 1/4 cup of granola or Kashi cereal, which is seriously good too :)

I second this! I make homemade greek yogurt, add 1/2 cup to 1 cup of frozen fruit (blueberries are my FAVE!) a packet of Stevia, and 1 T. of flax seed. My favorite snack right now :)

Shona, I have to cook BIG, so there's always extra for guests :)

These are all great ideas! We have 9 children, so always looking for things to do that are fun and cheap ;) I especially am interested in the geocaching!!!

Barbecue chicken (crock pot), roasted seasoned red potatoes, and salad. I'm also making garlic toast for the children :)
-
I'm making stir fried veggies and brown rice with a scrambled egg (plus one egg white) added in. YUM :) One of my favorite lunches!

Coconut yogurt? That sounds DEVINE! Do you make that yourself? Recipe please?
-
YUM! That sounds amazing too! I'll have to try it. Thank you!

My job is a very important one! I am a very busy wife and Mommy to 9 wonderful children :) They range in age from 1 yr old (just had her birthday on Wednesday) to 21 years old...5 boys and 4 girls. I LOVE my job soooooooooo much and am so thankful that I am able to stay home with my children and manage our home :) My…

Oops- I forgot to add in the 30 calories for the flax seed. Even still, at 120 calories, it was amazing :)

I'm interested in knowing as well. Although I don't have a George Forman, mine is a Panini Grill, but does pretty much the same thing as far as draining the fat out of the food.
-
How many calories does that wind up being? That sounds so good!
-
Bump....I'm looking for some too!

Tonight is going to be a Visalus shake with a banana, T. of natural peanut butter, and a T. of unsweetened cocoa. I normally don't do this at dinner time, but our son is "graduating" from 5th grade tonight (formal ceremony) and I have to get 7 children fed, ready, and out the door in time for that :)
-
Bump- I had the same question

This is the recipe I use at least once a week...it's never failed me :) Then I strain the whey out. It's sooooo awesome!

Tonight I had Flat Out light Italian flat bread, chicken salad, romaine lettuce, and sliced tomato. I also love doing smoked turkey, swiss cheese, romaine lettuce, sliced tomato, low fat mayo, and brown mustard. The other night I made an Italian "meatball" sub made with ground turkey and melted mozzerella cheese-…

Bump...thank you!

What I've started doing to thicken up my homemade yogurt is to add 1/4 cup of powdered skim milk with my starter. And then when it's all done, I line a big colander with coffee filters and then put it over a bowl that keeps the colander lifted up high enough for the whey to strain properly. I just leave that in our spare…

I have oatmeal with cinnamon and raisins mostly. It's filling and won't bake your calorie bank :) I usually add a tiny splash of skim milk and 1/2 packet of Stevia in the raw. YUM! Usually one day a week I'll saute zucchini and mushrooms in 1/2 coconut oil 1/2 olive oil (just enough so they won't stick), and then scramble…

I make my own for our family in my crock pot and then strain the whey out for a thicker consistency. It's fabulous!
-
I use mostly Visalus (my hubby is a distributor....so lmk if you want to try some!!!)...and sometimes Body Fortress.
-
I sure will! I had made spaghetti with meat sauce (ground turkey) 2 nights ago and we ate up most of the leftovers already, but I had some of the meat sauce left. So it's not really meatballs, but it will taste just as good, imo :)
-
Thank you soooo much everyone! You are all so helpful! I actually do have a food scale, but all my chicken is frozen right now and I was just planning out the next few days so I was curious :)
-
Can I just say that I'm so glad that this thread was started! Flat Out Flatbread is soooo awesome! I've only been using it for a couple of weeks, but I have done anything from turkey, tomato, lettuce, low fat mayo, and brown mustard to chicken breasts grilled and then cooked in a homemade tomato sauce with parmesan cheese…

Can you share your recipe? I LOVE to make bread for our family, but I'm not finding any good recipes that are lo cal, low fat, and low carb.

I think I'm eating enough? I am mostly satisfied and not too awfully hungry anymore. I do try to listen to my body though and when I feel weak or hungry, I will grab some yogurt or a cheese stick or something like that. Thank you so much! How totally cool that you come fro a family with 12 kids!!! We LOVE children :D

Yes, I know about the flavorings...I'm working on slowly cutting back on all that. I've already cut way back in the last few months. I am trying to find substitutes so that I can make this a lifelong thing rather than just a diet. My coffee is a huge thing for me. That's my one vice that I have. I used to only use the…

I think what I'm doing is considered strength training? I use cans that are just under 2 lbs. each as my dumb bells and use those during my Walk Away The Pounds workout. We do lateral raises, bicep curls, tricep work, extensions, etc. And then with my T-tapp workout, we focus on spinal alignment, neurokinetic flow, and…
