Yes, you are right about the tree nut thing, but when I did my allergy test again (recently) i also show a very mild allergic reaction to peanuts and other nuts, so I just stay away from anything peanut related to be safe. Thanks for your suggestions! I already do use olive oil when cooking. Should get some sunflower seeds…

Prob not the best thread to post this in, but what if you have the opposite problem? I don't have a big butt but I'd still like to slim it down a little...Any ideas on that? Thanks in advance and sorry for turning this thread around! :(

I'd agree with this 100%. Why should they have you at your best when they don't want you at your worst? I gained weight like crazy because I put my body into starvation mode (trying like hell to undo this now...not easy at all) but yet my bf still loves me for me.

Haha yeah...i have to start eating more fruits and veggies (I know) Just ate breakfast...lots of calories there alone (yikes). But I'll make my diary unprivate so people can help out and give me ideas on what I should be eating. Also, I know peanuts and peanut butter are being suggested everywhere, but unfortunately I'm…

Yeah according to my diary today, my body is in starvation mode because it only sees about 700 or so cals a day. Also, at certain times, my stomach will be growling but it's like I'm not hungry...probably just programmed that way. Going to start eating a banana or something throughout the day to get my calorie count…

Like most people mentioned, having kids. I'm 23 and I used to be around 145-150 before I gained weight due to my pregnancy. My son was born in 2008, and I haven't been able to shed the pounds off. But it also has to do with the fact my body is in survival mode (just learned that today) because I get too few calories.

Even when I'm not stressed there are a lot of times I find myself not hungry.

No one seemed to be answering one of my major questions: This is a huge concern for me because I've been like this as long as I can remember: When I'm not hungry I don't eat. I know it's not good but any suggestions on what I could eat just to make sure my body gets the calories it needs? Also, thanks everyone for the…

So basically eating anywhere between 1200 (MFP diary suggestion thing) and 1754 (BMR) cals? Also...on the days or times I don't feel hungry, I know I should eat but I don't. Anyone have any suggestions on what I could eat or how I should deal with that?
-
That says 1,754 cals/day Wouldn't that be just increasing weight though?
-
Yeah I don't eat 1200 cals a day...like I said earlier, today I still have 563 to play with. I don't exercise much because unfortunately I'm stuck in class most of the day. So besides walking up and down stairs when changing classes or walking to the subway I don't get much exercise in.

I think that's one big problem I have. If I'm not hungry I don't eat. What would you suggest eating in that scenario? There's a lot of days I find myself not really eating due to stress or what have you (bad habit I know)

23 years old here. What everyone has been saying; be nice to have us keep each other motivated! Feel free to add me also :)

According to todays diary I still have like 543 calories left for intake and maybe 65 carbs. not too sure of the exact numbers, but it's around there. Would you suggest trying to get my daily calorie intake? or staying below it?

Usually I eat maybe once or twice a day. Lately my diet has been as follows: Breakfast (615am) - a small bowl of kellogs mini wheats - little bites - chocolate with no milk added. (thats usually about 95 cals or so) Lunch - none Dinner - usually a warm meal like a small bowl of pasta or something, or a sandwich. Snacks -…

Welcome :) I'm new too and hoping to lose the pounds I gained when I was pregnant 4 years ago. Haven't been able to even though I've tried. I currently weigh 220lbs (yuck) and want to be around 145-150; I'm 5'5. Any suggestions on how or what to start/do would be great! And of course all the best of luck to Tyler. :)

In inputting today so far what I ate, I'm still well under my suggested calorie intake, and I've been eating this way for quite a long time now (1200 cals/day) but I'll give it a try for a week and hopefully see some improvement. Unfortunately I can't throw much exercise into the mix since I'm stuck in classes all day.
