I'm putting mine at about 1700 ish calories a day.. I hope that's good enough. How do deficits work.. so if I should be having 2100 does that mean eating around 1700 puts me at a 400cal deficit? And is that good or bad?

It's too pricey anyway. To buy all the ingredients for invidual recipes (I've seen sample menus and each day is different) as well as having to pay for ANOTHER weightloss program. I'm glad it's worked for you but no thanks :/

Mainly cardio - I like to use the Elliptical/Cross Trainer for as long as I can - usually do 30mins on the Xtrainer than 10 on the treadmill, back on the xtrainer for another 15mins and then back to the treadmill for a 5-10 min cooldown. Yeah I always aim to eat more than 1200, I simply do not agree with eating anything less. Think I'm going to aim at raising my cal intake by adding more protein (as suggested by Shauna) and decrease my cardio but add a weight session. I agree with that - It's also the same as Biggest Loser, they were made to eat 1000 calories a day, this is not sustainable outside of the tv show nor is it healthy. Can't agree more.

Thanks Shauna, I'll see how I go, to be honest I never paid attention to the %'s on here, I've always just stuck to my calorie limits. Also gotta get back into weights, did that for a little while then when my weights became too light for me I couldn't afford to buy more so I just stopped.. Bad Sarah..

I know exactly what you're saying, and thanks for agreeing with me about the Carbs lol. The other day I bought ONE tomato to have with my tuna and spinach on a cruskit.. one tomato.. it was two dollars something. tomatoes are currently $9 a kilo!!!! I couldn't believe it.

It all depends on what everyone considers healthy/unhealthy. Buying your own food and cooking for yourself is certainly cheaper than takeaway.. But buying a 99c bag of pasta and a $2 tin of Pasta sauce (with beef in it) is a whole lot cheaper than buying chicken and vegetables. Now having my $2.99 pasta every day is not…

My thoughts exactly! Just lose it slowly, and lift weights to firm up and tighten your muscles. Even though you're a guy and you may think it's lame (but you may not) try yoga. I've seen plenty of guys do yoga at my gym even some big buff blokes giving it a shot, it's good for toning.
