  • same here! lol daughter loves to create and change my base but she goes on the missions with me so she's entitled to some say I think. We start off the season walking with no chases but by the time winter snows us in we are doing the chases. Always working to make our base bigger too.

  • You can just walk with the ZR regular app. You can turn off the zombie chases so you dont have to run at all, just walk. Can even do it on a treadmill if you cant go outside. If you turn on the zombie chases, then you do have to run 20% faster than your walking speed until you get away from the zombies or they take a few…
  • LOL we do a big garden every year too. Nothing beats the bliss from walking in, dusting off a green bean or cucumber and eating right there. But we also got our 4 piggies we raise for butcher yesterday.
  • I agree, anyone can eat anything given the right incentive, which is what I said earlier about having to starve a few days to get to the point of wanting or trying to eat all meat all the time. I am sure you'd find peas eatable after a few days of hunger. I am ok with what I eat, i LOVE veggies and it makes my meat…
  • Same here. I have to bow out. I love veggies and have such texture issues with meat, it isnt worth starving myself or throwing up over the texture of meat just to eat meat. I dont agree that if you'll hungry enough you'll eat meat unless you've been without food for a few days or weeks maybe. MEat flavor is ok most of the…
  • Huh interesting. I'll have to do some research. Ive had an ulcer since I was 12 (dont ask, horrible childhood trauma) and ive had scopes done and I've also got GERD. Ive tried the unfiltered vinegar after we talked about it in one of the groups, LCD, here, Keto idk which, but OMG was that the worst 3 days ever! Caffeine…
  • so what is the other type of acid? Adding lemon juice and vinegar make my heartburn worse. Ive tried both.
  • Try http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/394-low-carber-daily-forum-the-lcd-group or http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/1143-keto both great groups for LCHF/Keto/Atikins/ETC
  • Try the http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/3070-p-c-o-sis group here on mfp. Lots of PCOS women with great success stories, diet info, suppliment info ect! You will also find some good friend requests there.
  • LCHF is the perfect terminology for what you are doing, and you are doing it well it seems. With out some sort of meter or blood test you wont know for sure, that is correct. You can guess by knowing if you went thru the Keto flu, if you are at 20g carbs or less a day, etc but you cant know for proof positive unless you…
  • It probably did not put you into ketosis as the carbs are not low enough. The good news is, many PCOS women respond to lower carbs without it having to be Keto level. You seem to be one of them so if you like your macros as they are, keep going. It isnt about a label. Keto dieters arent any more cool than LCHF dieters and…
  • yes, Keto IS Low Carb High Fat or LCHF. But LCHF is not necessarily Keto. Keto is a specific process I've explained above: It is a specific state of being, being in Ketosis, where your body uses fat and not carbs for fuel and uses the ketones you produce from this process. It is typically under 20g carbs a day but if…
  • It seems to depend on the person and the sticks are not overly accurate, but many people like to use them and see the color change. If you are burning ketones because you are in ketosis, you wont usually see much on the sticks. The only way to tell daily would be if you got a meter that measured them. There are a couple of…
  • HEHE good analogy. Keto is typically under 20g of carbs a day, but it means your body has switched from using carbs to using fat for fuel. It is a state of being in ketosis. If you eat too many carbs, even for one day it will kick you out of ketosis for a bit.
  • It just got warm enough for us to start back to our ZR again. Going thru my playlist now to make sure there's no scary music for our nightly ZR. Will probably start season 2 back over so I can remember the storylines.
  • Hmm starting in May? I might think about it then. The thought of meat only makes my stomach turn. I tolerate meat but love veggies and dairy products. But maybe I could do a really high fat, and whatever protein amount I could stomach and no veggies....Lots of fat bombs maybe.
  • So is it a meat only? or just a as close to zero carb as you can? or a no veggie? Meat only is one thing, but giving up heavy cream, cheese, cream cheese, eggs, etc would be rough for me personally. I am NOT @FIT_Goat and cant do meat 24/7/365. Giving up AF and getting as close to zero carb without veggies might be doable.…
  • Even tho I havent lost any weight since October of last year, i now can zip and button my washed jeans standing up.

  • Try the PCOS group here on mfp, much more relevant information there than here on the general forums. http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/3070-p-c-o-sis There is lots of info there about what types of doctors help the most, what type of diet helps, what types of tests to ask for to see if you have IR also or just…

  • You can easily google a good Keto alfredo sauce made with full fat cream cheese and whole cream, pour over some fried in bacon fat or coconut oil chicken breast strips and eat! Add broccoli if you want, or put on shiritake noodles. Wrap them in bacon and grill/broil/roast/bake them and then dip them in a mayo/mustard…
  • HAve you tried duck eggs? We also own chickens, ducks and turkeys for eggs. We have a family that regularly buys our duck eggs from us because the girls are allergic to chicken and turkey eggs but not duck eggs. Their allergist recommended it and we are the only duck egg sellers they've found so far. Just a thought, since…
  • Id have to go dig out my last blood test, but they are bairly above normal even when my fasting insulin was over 45 and the test 'normal' range was 5-20. But again, because my IR comes from my PCOS/hormone craziness and not a diabetic or pre-diabetic issue, maybe the numbers are different? But I know they test my A1C every…
  • o.O I get a fasted insulin test every 3 months to check my insulin resistance. My A1C and glucose levels are spot on perfect, fasting or not so they'd be of NO use for IR tests. But the fasting insulin tests is how they test of insulin resistance here especially because there are quite a few of us who have no blood…
  • HEHE can tell you arent a gamer or a South Park fan. ok Step 1: Have your spouse distract Santa. Step 2: Set out some reindeer games Step 3: ???? Step 4: Profit! Rinse and repeat until freezer is full.
  • http://www.reddit.com/r/KetoBabies/search?q=ketobabies&sort=relevance&restrict_sr=on&t=all I dont know how helpful that will be. I got pregnant last July and I started eating more carbs because 'everyone' said so and I gained almost 20 lbs in 2 weeks. I had only increased my carbs to 100g a day, not a like I was at 300g a…
  • Honestly, I started with cookbooks. Find some LCHF or Keto cookbooks at your local library and see if there are recipes you like before you buy a book. My favorite recipe books are Saving Dinner the Low Carb Way by Leanne Ely. She gives you options for low carb and non-low carb eaters. Like add rice to a dish here, or…
  • I have almond and coconut flours but we rarely use them because baked goods just isnt a thing anymore. But if you go to whole foods, they will usually carry a Bob's Redmill brand small bag for about $10. Or go on Amazon and get a huge bag for just a little more. However, I have nuts, nut butters, coconut oil, coconut,…
