Everyday is a challenge. Everyday I wake up in the morning excited that I'll get home from work and jump on the elliptical and burn some calories. Come mid afternoon, i'll e trying to find excuses not to exercise. Once I get home, I fight with my mind everytime to force myself to JUST DO IT. I do feel great after doing it,…

I only log in tasks that raises my heart rate to the fat burning zone ... everyday stuff like walking, I don't consider as exercise.

Hi Sartaj, Your food calorie per day is 1440. The calories you burn from workout is called exercise calories. As such, when you log into your food and exercise diary everyday, it will do the calculation for ya. I'll illustrate a couple of scenarios for you: E.g. Food calories recommended= 1440. Actual food calories…

Congratulations on your engagements and upcoming wedding! I am married already, but there are a couple of weddings coming up in my family this year (one in November and another in December). I'm trying to loose as much as I can so that I won't be too self-conscious wearing my saree! It's a beautiful attire and makes a…

I haven't really thought about beauty procedures ... I do take a multi-vitamin and calcium supplement daily. I moisturize daily with Body Shop's body butter (love it!) but I do it coz my skin is dry. Reading a couple of posts here, I didn't know it will help reduce loose skin! I guess I'll be using the cream in other areas…

My goal is to loose 2lbs a week. Based on my height and current weight, MFP calculates I have to consume up to 1310 calories a day. So I ensure I eat to that or a lil bit more. I exercise religiously, 6 times a week but the nature of my work is sedentery. So I've made a conscious decision to not eat my exercise calories,…

i weigh myself once a week, every Wednesday morning - after emptying bowels and before having breakfast. I am sure the weight fluctuates every other day, so I rather not be depressed by it. You know something positive is happening every week coz your clothes fit better, and that's good enough for me :)

I usually have unsweetened fresh lime juice, lotsa hot green tea and a large glass of mixed fruit/vege juice

Not too sure if it was actual fat that we loose on our feet or water retention :) My feet used to always be swollen after sitting down too long, even my ankles! But now that I have started religiously working out, the swelling has reduced ... and yes, my usual size 9s are kinda floaty :)

My usual combination for a Juice: 2 granny smith - medium size 1 orange - medium size 3 stalks of celery 2 carrots - medium size 1/2 lemon - medium size Thumb-size fresh ginger Juice away. It usually provides more than 8oz, so I store it in an air-tight jar and refrigerate it for later consumption. Don't keep it too long,…

Fat, This, Tall, Short, White, Black, Purple ... seriously it's nobody's business but your own. People can be mean, and that's the sad truth of the society we live in. Hope your friend is able to laugh it off soon, and I'm sorry it happened.

Snack on foods with high fibre content ... fruits keep me full :)

Hmm ... my stationary bike (the only machine I own) asks me to insert gender, height and weight every time. It measures my pulse too. I've not factor it up or down after each session, and record the calories burnt as it is ... I am sticking to it, and it seems ok for me. I have previously used the thread mill and bikes at…

In 3 months, I'm hoping to loose 24lbs and build my stamina by doing longer and add resistance to my workout regime. In a year, I hope to achieve my goal weight of 165 lbs, control my eating habits and enjoy maintaining a healthy lifestyle. And what will be awesomer is to go to a regular store and pick a regular size…

Any common digital scale works .. i'd rather spend the hard earned $ on fresh produce :)
